Boasting panoramic views of the eastern shore of Discovery Bay, this scenic walkout apartment offers a peaceful slice of Port Townsend to call your own for an Olympic Peninsula getaway. This beautiful vacation rental offers abundant wildlife viewing opportunities, with Bald Eagles, seagulls, otters, and deer all regular visitors. In April, you may see Grey Whales migrating through the bay. Bring your kayaks and SUPs to take advantage of on-site beach access, just a short stroll away. Morning coffee and afternoon cocktails pair perfectly with waterfront views on the private, covered patio.

The bright, two-bedroom interior showcases original photography developed by the homeowner. A USB flash drive connected to the smart TV in the living area comes loaded with a series of slideshow displays containing even more images from the owner's career portfolio. Divided into themed sections, each slideshow will immerse viewers in an array of beautiful landscapes, wildlife, and indigenous cultures from around the world.

This home is equipped for comfort with essentials such as a full kitchen, free WiFi, a private washer/dryer, and a split air-conditioning system with units in the living room and each bedroom. Enjoy casual downtime in the living area with shows and movies on the smart TV. An electric fireplace adds a cozy evening ambience.

This vacation rental is for the lower-level apartment only. Owners may occupy the main house at any given time. Beach access is shared with owners.
Construction near the beach is ongoing, but it is still accessible.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the ā€œDamage Waiverā€). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Beautiful space

We loved this lower level apartment when we were heading through Port Townsend. Great view of the water. It was a little walk down to the water but we did it a few times. We enjoyed our stay.

Gorgeous view!

Lovely quiet space, despite the difficult access with the steep drive. Beds were comfortable, everything clean and bright. I was glad we brought bottled water as there was an odor from the faucet water. We didnā€™t seek out the beach access. We 3 80 yr old gals wished we were a little more able bodied.

Great view but not a great place

Generally appears clean but there was a blood stain on the queen size mattress that showed through the sheet and there was a medium length black hair on the white sheet. The white throw blanket on the bed also had a blood stain. We took pictures to document. Sink in bathroom is incredibly slow to drain. Water in bathroom has a brownish tinge. Many small flying bugs in the kitchen and around lights. The kitchen is barely equipped. No mixing or salad bowl, minimal cookware, not a single ā€œextraā€. No sponge for washing dishes, no foil, Saran, napkins, cooking oil, a tiny amount of salt, no pepper, no tissues. A super large spiderweb and very large spider at the entry near the outdoor table. Heat was difficult to use.

OK, close to Misty Clover Farm

The property was lovely and the suite was spacious for 2 adults and a toddler. The sound transfer from the main house to the rental space was more than we anticipated, so much that we could hear footsteps and voices through out the main bedroom and living area. The water smells strongly of sulfur and hot water doesnā€™t last long enough for two consecutive showers. We likely wouldnā€™t book this space again.

We really loved the access to the beach and the general scenery. It was also nice to have a full kitchen. The brown/sulfuric water from all the taps was not a great experience and we decided to go buy our own drinking water to drink, cook and wash teeth with. There were also multiple very large spiders and small sugar ants in the apartment. The parking space for two cars was nice but it was a good 50 meters uphill on a gravel road to walk to the door so I was glad I didn't bring my elderly mother. Finally, the plastic mattress protectors on the matresses made sleeping hot and uncomfortable. If you could get the apartment fumigated (nitrogreen can put a protective barrier around the outside of your home) then change your mattress covers to normal and add filters on the faucets in the bathroom and kitchen, we would be back.

Nice stay

This property has a beautiful view which makes up for some lack of cleanliness and just general vibe of the place. The quality of furniture could be better, one of the twin beds you can feel the springs, and the couch is a bit stained. For the price however, Iā€™d say it is a good deal. It is in a neutral place between sequim and port Townsend on either side with it being about 15-30 minutes from each. Highly recommend spending a day in port Townsend, it is such a cute town with great views, food, and goodies.

Lovely View

The landscaping and view around the house was absolutely great. We had to park down the hill from the house which we werenā€™t a fan of but they do have handicap parking near the house should one need it. The house was very clean however there were very little pots and pans for cooking. Additionally, the water smelt like rotten eggs out of every shower/faucet and did not drain properly making the whole house smell. Iā€™m pretty sure itā€™s a septic problem. All and all I would stay again granted they took care of the septic problem.

Missing the Details

We appreciated finding a booking at short notice. It was a lovely view. Parking was at the bottom of a very steep hill. The "beach" was through a weed-filled path. The details were not there...for example: tiny and large spoons, no medium/normal. Coffeepot filter (should have been thrown out). Frying pan that needed to be thrown out. No good one. Master bedroom chair cushion was badly stained. Shower had no mat or safety bars and was slippery. Needed a deep clean (molding dust never cleaned). On the surface it was OK. No communication requested with Property Manager.

Beautiful view

This place has a beautiful view, it was very quiet until owners were home, so got a couple good days in. Led lights were a bit harsh, remote heating cooling system was pretty neat. Would be a great place for summer kayaking on the bay. If you are looking for a cozy place to retreat I would definitely consider something else. Great deal for the price. The goodwill laundry basket was a little oddā€¦. The designated parking spaces are at the bottom of the hill , so if you need disability accommodations park in front of the garage apparently, this was not totally clear. Vacasa customer service is top notch.

Beautiful location

I do have to say it was a beautiful view, place was clean but a bit stark. We found the water tasted and smelled fine. We arrived after dark so the parking located halfway down the steep drive was a bit inconvenient as my husband has an ankle injury. Our main issue was that you canā€™t enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise. Not unless you drive 5 miles to the closest gas station or pack your own kcups. There was a basket with a single coffee pod and a can of regular grounds - no regular coffee maker and no pods sold locally. I verified with the property manager and the responses were ā€œYes, there is only a Kureig, please let us know if you need help in anything.ā€ & when I asked why only a single coffee pod for 4 guests and 2 nights ā€œI am so sorry about this, but we are unable to provide it, as this is an in-home supply we do not provideā€. Definitely be aware if you plan to wake up and enjoy that liquid caffeine bliss looking over the water, it can start your day off on the wrong foot for sure. Pack your pods folks!

Clean with all the basics and a beautiful view

The view is great, and the apartment is good in a basic way, but feels more like a residential hotel than a vacation home and lacks the kind of practical touches that you often find in a place rented by owners. For example, a property on well water with a moderate sulphur smell should provide bottled water for cooking and drinking. The kitchen is moderately equipped. A good home base if you are planning to be out and about a lot, but not a cozy place to hang out.

Tranquil.

The apartment is exactly as described. Clean, quiet, comfortable. It is a great base point to explore nearby places. Only negatives: there is nothing within walking distance (Port Townsend is an easy 20 minutes away though!), beach is under construction. This didnā€™t affect our opinion - it was a quiet place to rest and recharge. Really enjoyed the space.
