Our beautiful Oceanside beach-level Townhouse is located in Parksville, British Columbia.
Parksville is on the east side of Vancouver Island, 150 km north of Victoria.
Our townhouse is in the Tanglewood complex on the southern edge of Parksville between Rathtrevor Provincial Park and Beach Acres Resort.

We are located at beach level -- it is a short 30 second walk (about 50 paces) from our unit to the beach, no long walks through the woods to get to the ocean, which is visible on every level of the unit.

We offer huge sandy beaches, warm water, and a quiet atmosphere in a privately owned complex. Enjoy, relax, and rejuvenate yourself in your 'home away from home'. Have a great time swimming in the ocean, walking the beach, or hiking the trails in the Provincial park next door.
For those who like to golf, we are within a 20 minute drive of ten or more courses that will provide a challenge to any level of player. If mini-golf is more for you and the kids, we are under a 5 minute walk away.

Our townhouse is fully equipped.
On the top floor are two bedrooms and a four piece bathroom. The master bedroom has a king size bed, a private deck and cable TV. The second bedroom has a two double futon bunks with singles on top.

The main floor has the living room with fireplace and ROKU TV, dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a four piece bathroom, natural gas connected barbeque and two decks.

On the entry level is the third bedroom with a double bed (no window). It also has a 1/2 bath. This level also has a single car garage with a full size laundry washer and dryer.

When you are ready for your day on the beach we provide beach toys for sand castle building for the kids. We also have our red beach wagon to help you get these to and from the beach.

This is the perfect location to enjoy the wonderful West Coast. Come and explore the beach and the surrounding area. You will find something for everyone in your party.

Sorry No events, No pets and No smoking in the townhouse or on Strata property.

Great place, Great location

Tanglewood 18 was perfect for our family. Very clean, lots of room, beds and bathrooms were awesome. It was quiet and the ocean with its massive beach it right there and also Rathtrevor park. I highly recommend this accommodation.

What a great VRBO experience. The property was exactly as advertised, communication with the owner was quick and easy, and that beach.....! I think that this will be the first of many stays at Tanglewood 18.

Parksville in the summer

I've been to Parksville many times but this was our first summer stay and I loved it! Definitely a great time of year to visit with kids. We loved the beach with swimsuits instead of rain clothes and boots :) Definitely plan to come again in the summer. I love staying at this property with my kids. Lots of space and the comfort of home.

A wonderful home away from home

Despite the rain, we enjoyed our stay once again at Tanglewood. Beach mornings and cozy afternoons made our trip memorable. Our daughter especially enjoyed flying the kite she found in the garage on the beach. Thank you again for having us and we hope to return next year!

Beautiful location!

We stayed there May 2019 with my two pre schoolers and my parents. There is so much to do around the area! Mini golf, Coombs, farms (with a winery!). The house is well set up and sooooo close to beach (like a min walk). We would definitely come back. Thanks for the stay!

Location, location!

This property was located right on the beach and access was easy. This is why we chose it. The condo was comfortable and worked for a family of four and two grandparents. Renters should be aware that third bedroom does not have a window or closet. We enjoyed our 4 night stay.

Beach fun!

Thank you, Archie, for sharing your piece of paradise! Your vacation spot is wonderful and we had a great time! Nice to be only steps from the beach and the wagon was very helpful. Plenty of beds for our group and the three bathrooms were a bonus! Archie was a pleasure to deal with. Very helpful and quick to respond. We would love to go back one day! Parksville is our happy place!

Early Summer Vacation 2023

Another wonderful stay at Tanglewood 18! Very clean and comfortable - the perfect home base for long walks on the beach, ocean swims and forest hikes. Saw lots of local wildlife/sealife. Fantastic weather - couldn’t have asked for anything better. Found ourselves wishing we could stay longer (again!). We will be back . . .

Almost perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! It felt very much like we were borrowing a friend's family cottage- a cottage that just happened to be steps away from the glorious Rathtrevor beach. That proximity was a huge plus. The beach was perhaps a hundred feet away on a level and well maintained trail. That wasn't the only positive part of this place. The property itself was roomy and well appointed. It is a three level townhouse. Stairs don't bother this retired couple yet, but perhaps they might in a few years. But for the young families that this property is really meant for, it'd be just fine. The property is well-lived in and has lots of amenities that would appeal to families with small children. We enjoyed our time here and would gladly stay here again. Just a little TLC would have made the place absolutely perfect.

Wonderful experience in a beautiful location

We had a wonderful stay at this property and plan to make it our first choice for our annual trip to Parksville. The kitchen was well equipped and we never felt the need to eat out. It truly is a home away from home :) With a 2 year old, we really appreciated little things like having beach toys and an outside hose right at the door for cleaning off sand. The close proximity to the beach meant we didn't need a stroller or car to enjoy the space. There is a convenience store at the top of the drive that sells firewood and we enjoyed a couple of beach campfires during our stay. The only thing we weren't able to find in the unit was matches or a lighter. Luckily, my sister was at Unit 19 and she had a lighter for us to use. My only recommendation to the owners is to use fragrance-free laundry detergent on the towels and sheets as the perfume was a little overpowering as we were trying to sleep. We will be back next year!

Amazing stay

We had an amazing stay at Archie’s place. The house was clean, comfortable and great for our family. Just steps from the ocean and right beside Rathtrevor Park made entertaining the kids so easy.

Love the beach

The home was clean and comfortable….had every convenience..well equipped kitchen… parking was fine and it’s so close to everything……but best of all the beach access . Not so keen on the three stories as we are in our 70’s but all was good.

Fall Getaway

Our first vacation in 3 years due to Covid. Appreciated the extra cleaning and supplies which were left for us. Spectacular weather - much warmer than we were anticipating. Awesome, easy access to the beach and a convenient home base for exploring further afield - Cathedral Grove, Top Bridge, Madrona Point, Beachcomber Park, Rathtrevor, Coombs, etc. Quantity of beds and bathrooms perfect for our family.

Great location with beautiful views!

Wonderful place to stay! The house was clean, good layout, had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and in a great location; close to lots of fun activities. We loved how close to the beach we were plus being able to see the beach from multiple windows and decks was really nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again!

Very comfortable & convenient spot just steps from the beach

Beautiful Beachfront

This unit is in an incredible location that has something for everyone. Walk to the beach, Rathtrevor, mini golf, or a pub within minutes. Loved our stay and hope to stay again.

Wonderful stay at the beach

Excellent location as advertised. You can't beat a location so close to the beach and an unexpectedly lovely view from the master bedroom patio. Lots of space for 8-10 people.

Great location

The unit is only a couple of steps to the beach and has plenty of beach toys, which were a highlight for my kids! There's one unit and half bathroom at the ground level, the second level is the kitchen, living room and a full bathroom, and the third level has two bedrooms and a shared full bathroom. The master also has a patio which is fantastic in the evenings. Great for groups, but a lot of stairs for those with mobility challenges.
