Our cottage is a traditional B&B and serves a full breakfast each morning. We have 2 other suites we rent within the same cottage. Guests are welcome to enjoy the grounds complete with deck,patio and outdoor fireplace. We do have a small miniture dacshund and a black fluffy cat who adore guests!

We booked this b&b hoping for a convient location near Ricketts Glen. It couldn't have been easier to get to and locate. The host was very welcoming. The place was very clean and well taken care of. Breakfast was also amazing. We would definitely recommend.

Idyllic Cabin in the Woods

Claytonna has provided an amazing stay located conveniently from Rickett's Glen State Park! The house was beautiful, and our room was clean and comfortable. Her hospitality was the cherry on top, and we enjoyed the freshly cooked breakfasts each day. I would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for a getaway :)

Relaxing home in the country

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in this cute country home. Our room was comfortable, breakfast was delicious and Claytona and Dave were friendly and welcoming host. We love being outdoors so sitting on the porch and patio was a great way to relax after hiking in Rickets Glen State Park.

Great Stay!

We passed through this area approximately 15 years ago and always planned to return to hike at Rickett's Glen State Park. The Cottage B&B was perfect for our stay! Clean & cozy rooms, delicious food and great hosts!

Great Stay at the Cottage in the Woods

We had a lovely stay in the Hummingbird suite. The property was beautiful and well cared for. We had a delicious breakfast each morning and the hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. The location was convenient for hiking and close to several restaurants. We will definitely visit again on our next trip to the area.

Perfect place to stay

The Cottage is perfectly located for visiting Ricketts Glen and hiking the falls. Our stay was so comfortable, it felt like we were home. Claytonna was a wonderful host. The room was clean and exactly as pictured. Breakfast was delicious! We definately plan on visiting again.

Great Little Cabin in the Woods!

So glad we found this great little cabin in the woods! We came for our wedding anniversary & to hike at Ricketts Glen State Park. The property was very inviting, our room was very comfortable & the host was super friendly! We enjoyed interacting with the other guests as well! All & all a great experience... hope to come back again!

Just an amazing place to stay. Sometimes photos are deceiving. Not at all in this case. Better than advertised. Claytonna was an incredible host and breakfast was fantastic!

What a delight!

I'm so glad that my friends and I decided to not camp. I found this listing and it was more then I expected. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had a great look to it with the shower being the best part. As a tall person, I appreciated the taller than normal shower. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and we got to meet the other guests. We were all there to hike the falls at Rickett's Glen park. It was fun to see familiar faces on our hike! Claytonna and her husband were gracious hosts! I would definitely stay there again!

A Wonderful Gem in the Woods

Claytonna and Dave were wonderful hosts. The cottage is absolutely lovely in gorgeous and peaceful surroundings. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the early morning smelling, hearing and seeing the woods at daybreak! Our room was very spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. We had a great nights sleep! The breakfast was wonderful and lovingly prepared. Claytonna even went out of her way to provide extra provisions as she had picked up I might like those! In short: a great find, we will definitely return!

This is an incredibly cute and homey bed and breakfast a few minutes away from Ricketts Glen State Park. Our room was comfortable and provided everything we needed, including a fridge and access to streaming services and WiFi. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They offered to build us a fire in the evening and made us a delicious breakfast in the morning, complete with eggs, bacon, blueberry muffins, fresh fruit and coffee. The last time I went to Ricketts Glen, I slept in a tent in the rain. This experience was 1,000 times better. Nothing like a warm shower and cozy bed at the end of a long day of hiking. I highly recommend this place!

Cottage in the Woods B & B is a gem!

My husband and I spent our 40th wedding anniversary at the Cottage in the Woods. We travel often and mainly use VRBO if we are not staying in a hotel. We typically do not stay at B&B properties but I am so glad that we chose this one! The hosts are wonderful! They make you feel so welcome and comfortable (like visiting old friends). They are kind and helpful and provided us with information about the area and also recommendations for local restaurants. The property is beautiful, comfortable and well maintained. We were served a beautiful and delicious breakfast every morning. The location to Ricketts Glen is perfect. Just a short ride to the State Park entrance and several trail heads for the falls hike. There is a lovely outdoor space for relaxing after your hike. I would highly recommend this B & B to anyone who is looking to visit the area.

Epic Hiking Weekend

My friend and I stayed in the Bluebird room. It was the first time I had stayed in a B&B. We were promptly greeted by Claytonna and she welcomed us in and showed us around. We met the other guests later in the evening and Dave prepared a fire for us all outside. Everyone was kind and fun! Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed- linens, towels, basic soaps. The mini fridge in our room was perfect. We were able to use the common space for relaxing, using the microwave, coffee/tea bar. The breakfast that was made for us both mornings was delicious. We then went off and hiked the day away. The wifi at Cottage in the Woods was great. We downloaded our trails there, as there was no service once we headed out for hiking. We did many of the Ricketts Glen trails throughout the weekend. The falls trail is a must! I would highly commend! We had an excellent weekend! Thank you!

Hosts are very warm and accommodating. The guest quarters and common space are exceptionally well decorated and maintained. Breakfast was better than most fine hotels. Lovely outdoor space. Very convenient to Rickett's Glen park. One of the best (of many) B&B experiences I've had!
