Our pension:
The Gasthaus DEUTSCHES HAUS is a family-run guest house with 6 rooms and 1. Apartment invites its guests to relax and explore the area. In addition to a bathroom with shower and separate seating, the rooms have free WiFi and cable TV. Each room has access to the ready-to-move-in kitchen and to the living area with seating. On arrival you will be welcomed with a welcome drink. Your car is parked safely and free of charge in the hotel's own car park far from the road.
The house itself is located on a 36,000 square meter property and offers many opportunities to pass the time.
The terrace right next to the guesthouse invites you to sunbathe in the beach chair, bathe in the seasonal outdoor pool or relax on the available loungers or meet at the tables for a chat.
The adjoining garden offers you a barbecue hut, a children's playground, where children can let off steam on the climbing frame, slide, rope ladder, various swings, at table tennis, with the goal wall and ball games. A darts game is also available.
The house itself is about 2 km away from the small town of Szabadkígyós. The bus stop is just 50 meters away, Békéscsaba is only 8 km away and the older town of Gyula is 13 km away. Both cities can be reached by bus, by car in 10 minutes.
Surroundings
The location in the middle of the Puszta, on the edge of the nature reserve Körös-Maros-Nemzeti Park, leads to a stimulating combination of closeness to nature and easy access to the surrounding sights and attractions. Within a radius of 2 km you can reach the Wenckheim Castle with its arboretum, the local train station and the Tiszántúl district in addition to the nature reserve.
Hiking is wonderful in the large forests, but also in the Puszta. A local equestrian center provides riding opportunities on site as well as horses for rides with the riding instructor.
In Békéscsaba, the city center with its cafés in the pedestrian zone invites you to linger. Even those interested in history can walk in the footsteps of the first immigrants from Slovakia, Germany and Romania.
The city of Gyula offers a modern thermal bath with slides and huge outdoor pools, but also medical baths and massages. The center is also worth seeing here and in the 100-year-old café you can enjoy delicious cakes and coffee like in the good old days.

By plane to Budapest, then directly to Békéscsaba by train.
By car, take the Budapest - Kecskemét - Békéscsaba route.

Very nicely located on the edge of the Pusta, here you can really sleep in and rest and enjoy the silence. Nice grill places everywhere on the lake where you catch your fish and you can grill. The pool at the house with the large terrace with a beach chair, lots of loungers, tables and benches. A very large playground for the children with a climbing frame, slide, rope ladder, three different swings, table tennis, billiards, darts, ball games and the goal wall to punch.
