Plus, it’s only a quick 35 min drive to Santa Cruz’s stunning beaches, the world-class mountain biking trails of Felton and Henry Cowell State Park, and the quaint towns of Ben Lomond and historic Boulder Creek.

With its rustic, modern but cozy vibe, The Redwood House welcomes families, remote workers, and nature lovers alike. Enjoy a relaxing king-bed suite complete with a luxurious clawfoot tub. and 3 other queen beds to accommodate a whole familiy comfortably. Unwind by the wood-burning fireplace or take in the fresh mountain air under the gazebo. This home is in such a beautiful setting. There are neighbors but you feel pretty secluded with the artul gate and fencing. The kitchen is well stocked and there are many lovely details inside and out. Entry and exit were seamless, and we only wished our schedule had allowed to spend more time lounging here! The chairs are perfect for staring up at the canopy above.

Fantastic being in the redwoods. Highlights were the deck and the fire pit. House well set up: 4 bedrooms with nice beds, kitchen was better set up than rental-only properties. Hosts communicative, check in and check out were easy. Overall- great base for a hiking weekend!

Excellent stay on all fronts. The quiet outdoor sitting areas, spacious rooms, tasteful decor, and shady location among towering redwoods all contributed to a very enjoyable time. Host communication was prompt and clear. This is among the best vacation rentals we've encountered. I liked that it was well outside of town. Other places we've booked off Hwy 9 have been very noisy and cramped. I'd definitely stay here again.

We were looking for a getaway for our family of six in the redwoods and the Redwood Cabin was perfect. It is beautifully nestled among many redwood trees in the Santa Cruz mountains with a gated entrance to the property for privacy. The cabin had everything we needed, and it was clean and comfy. Using the upstairs fireplace heated the main room nicely for our winter stay. The hosts were very responsive to our questions. Having stayed at other properties before, this was a standout experience for our family.

The cabin was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. Communication was great with the property owners, replies was sent within 5 minutes. The outside area was very nice even thou we didn’t get to enjoy it due to only being there two nights. I would definitely stay here again.

Incredible cabin; great family experience

Great stay!

We had a great time at the house and in Boulder Creek. Very comfortable and homey. Kitchen was well equipped and beds were comfortable.

Family Friendly Redwoods Retreat

We had a fantastic stay in the redwoods of Boulder Creek. The location is stunning—quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by towering trees. The cabin was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. Beds were very comfortable, and the host was responsive and thoughtful, providing extra touches like detergent and toiletries.The kids especially loved the axe throwing area, and we all enjoyed relaxing around the fire ring and spending time in the gazebo. A perfect forest getaway—we’d definitely come back!

True Redwoods Mountain Experience.

This is a super unique property, chiseled into the side of a mountain above Santa Cruz, in the Santa Cruz range no less. Excellent and amazing hiking right near by at Castle Rock State Park. Lovely and interesting interior and a killer fire pit by which to enjoy dappled dusk and darkness. Highly recommended.

This home is truly special—clearly cared for and thoughtfully designed with love. It has such a warm, positive vibe throughout. The artistic décor gives it a unique and inspiring feel, almost like staying in an artist’s retreat. The downstairs master suite is wonderfully spacious, well decorated and comfortable, and the outdoor seating nestled among the redwoods was incredibly peaceful. Our little dog loved exploring the enclosed yard, which gave us peace of mind. We’d definitely love to return next summer!

With three energetic children and a love for travel and great food, they always valued finding balance amidst life’s bustle. A few years back, during the height of COVID, they discovered the perfect home—a cozy sanctuary among the redwoods, a place to relax and reconnect away from the pandemic chaos.

What began as an escape soon became their first true family home, a peaceful haven that offered them a deep connection to nature. Over time, they realized this home was too special to keep all to themselves. Now, with work and family activities pulling them closer to town, they’ve decided to share their serene spot with others. Here, they hope guests can find the same rejuvenating peace they have—a quiet, calming retreat filled with nature's beauty and charm.
