We were looking for a getaway for our family of six in the redwoods and the Redwood Cabin was perfect. It is beautifully nestled among many redwood trees in the Santa Cruz mountains with a gated entrance to the property for privacy. The cabin had everything we needed, and it was clean and comfy. Using the upstairs fireplace heated the main room nicely for our winter stay. The hosts were very responsive to our questions. Having stayed at other properties before, this was a standout experience for our family.

Lovely stay for the holidays. Very clean. Warm enough for us. Love a fireplace. We were able to spend Thanksgiving here though we did bring alot of our own cooking tools just in case, they had a good amount of cooking utensils, saute pans and a couple pots. Stove and oven worked great. Good wifi. The downstairs bathroom is really cool wet room. Shower was great, didn't get a chance to try out the tub this time. Great social hang space on the main floor, open living room, dining and kitchen. Very cool rolling gate closure at stairs of needed for stairs or small children. Cozy and a nice break from the bland rentals around. Feels nice to stay at a home where it feels like it is really cared for. Grounds and parking was great. Got to play a bit of darts on the porch too! Hosts were very responsive. Would definitely stay again.

The cabin was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. Communication was great with the property owners, replies was sent within 5 minutes. The outside area was very nice even thou we didn’t get to enjoy it due to only being there two nights. I would definitely stay here again.

Family Friendly Redwoods Retreat

We had a fantastic stay in the redwoods of Boulder Creek. The location is stunning—quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by towering trees. The cabin was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. Beds were very comfortable, and the host was responsive and thoughtful, providing extra touches like detergent and toiletries.The kids especially loved the axe throwing area, and we all enjoyed relaxing around the fire ring and spending time in the gazebo. A perfect forest getaway—we’d definitely come back!

This home is truly special—clearly cared for and thoughtfully designed with love. It has such a warm, positive vibe throughout. The artistic décor gives it a unique and inspiring feel, almost like staying in an artist’s retreat. The downstairs master suite is wonderfully spacious, well decorated and comfortable, and the outdoor seating nestled among the redwoods was incredibly peaceful. Our little dog loved exploring the enclosed yard, which gave us peace of mind. We’d definitely love to return next summer!

We absolutely loved our stay in the Santa Cruz mountains. This place is nestled within the redwoods and is an absolute gem. The house and property are tailored to ensure a peaceful and relaxing vacation. And, the hosts are very welcoming and communicated exceptionally. Overall, 10/10 recommend!

True Redwoods Mountain Experience.

This is a super unique property, chiseled into the side of a mountain above Santa Cruz, in the Santa Cruz range no less. Excellent and amazing hiking right near by at Castle Rock State Park. Lovely and interesting interior and a killer fire pit by which to enjoy dappled dusk and darkness. Highly recommended.

Perfect Redwood Getaway!

This is one of the most peaceful trips we have ever taken. We hiked every day and spent time under the magnificentredwoods and exploring the small towns. I used to stay in Santa Cruz then visit the trees and trails. I will stay in the trees and visit Santa Cruz from now on. I needed the host's help with one minor thing. Their response was immediate, friendly and super helpful. We certainly hope to return!

Great cabin in the woods

Fabulous, quiet, right in the redwood forest, surrounded by 50 large redwoods. Short drive to trails. Bit of a drive to get there, as expected.Good house instructions.Kitchen was OK, but short on some things - hotpads, only 5 forks.Could have used a few more blankets.

Redwood Love!

Awesome location! Great communication - good wifi; 5 adult women slept comfortably, privately and peacefully. The house and trees are magical! Good fireplace! Well stocked kitchen!

Cozy comfy abode!

We were looking for a cozy comfy cabin in the redwoods and this was perfect! The woodstove kept us nice and warm, and everything about the home worked well- from the well appointed kitchen to the lovely soaking tub super comfy beds. Plenty of firewood, great entertainment options ( movies music huge screen!) And access to cute mountain towns and glorious hikes! Thanks for sharing your adorable spot, we’d love to come back someday.

Amazing Experience

We drove up to spend Thanksgiving weekend with our son who goes to UCSC. This was a perfect get away for all of us. The town of Boulder Creek us also very cute with some really good restaurants! Highly recommended all around.

Good stay!

What a fantastic little gem in the Santa Cruz Mountains could not have asked for a better place as a short little getaway. The attention to detail and everything you could possibly need was right there for us with the possibility to escape to great restaurants nearby. Loved the set up of the house in the ferry. Ring of trees in the backyard was amazing. Will definitely be back amazing place!

Back at Work and Now I’m Reminiscing…

Jake and Michelle’s place is gorgeous and I honestly wish we spent more time at the home itself (we had a relatively full agenda). To note, it was hot in Boulder Creek (~95 F) during our stay, but the house maintained a great temperature with the downstairs feeling like it had AC the whole time. Upstairs does get a bit warmer but it didn’t feel uncomfortable especially with all of the windows/fans. We were also mindful of opening all windows upstairs/downstairs in the early morning and then locking up before the heat (this was a treat as you really draw in the mountain crisp air). The house has great features that make it comfortable, including the downstairs bathroom and big master room. Furthermore, they have a gate that is thoughtfully placed in front of the stairs and easy to lock in place (it is optional to set up, but helped us out with our two toddlers). Overall, I didn’t have to contact Jake much because the stay took care of itself, but he was very prompt, helpful, and understanding. I would honestly love to stay here again if I ever have plans in the area. After all, I didn’t quite get to enjoy a calm early morning coffee under the redwoods (kids lol), perhaps next time.

The Escape we needed in the Redwoods

Wonderful space to unwind and relax in nature. Close to so many enjoyable places. The hosts thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Would highly recommend to family and friends. We took in a concert at Mountain Winery in Saratoga and it was the perfect retreat for a memorable weekend.

Private Redwood Grove

This cabin is gorgeous, and feels so homey while also having really nicely updated amenities! Jake and Michelle were responsive and helpful, and did everything they could to make our stay a nice one. We very much enjoyed our time here and will certainly be back!

What began as an escape soon became their first true family home, a peaceful haven that offered them a deep connection to nature. Over time, they realized this home was too special to keep all to themselves. Now, with work and family activities pulling them closer to town, they’ve decided to share their serene spot with others. Here, they hope guests can find the same rejuvenating peace they have—a quiet, calming retreat filled with nature's beauty and charm.
