We had a wonderful time staying here for a week! The property had everything we could want or need. Loved the lake and kayaks that were available. Even had toys and a lovely room setup for our toddler, everything was excellent

The house was exactly as described and we enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable and we would rent again. Our only Mishap is the Jacuzzi was broken and dirty during our stay and we would've really enjoyed to use that, but otherwise our stay was great. The owner reached out to let us know they would look into it and we never heard back. We would still stay at this property again

The cabin sits on a lovely plot of green land with its own dock. I loved the walking path and quiet. The kitchen had everything I needed. Hosts were super friendly and communicative.

The house was absolutely stunning and serene. The hosts were very accomodating and kind when we made a few requests. The hot water heater initially wasnt working but they came and sent someone to fix it immediately. 5/5 will stay here again.

Great spring break with the fam

Our family and dog had a great time during our stay. The cabin is beautifully updated and had everything we needed. It was close enough to Durham for a few day trips and far enough from everything else to really appreciate the surrounding nature. We spent time on the dock, in the hot tub, and by the fire pit. The pond was great for nature watching and we tried some fishing from the dock and had a few bites. Overall our kids enjoyed the space and we had a great time.

Amazing weekend

When I tell you this place is amazing that’s not even the best word to describe this place I felt like I was at home the neighbor was so quiet and peaceful…but the cabin itself speaks for itself everything you could possibly need is in the house you really don’t have to bring anything. The location isn’t too far from Durham or Raleigh. I would highly recommend staying here cause I will

Work getaway

Quick work getaway. This place is amazing! We got in late, hung out in the back deck just enjoying the silence and the stars! Much better than staying in a hotel! Everything is exactly as the pictures describe! Will definitely be back. Thank you!

Great relaxing stay

We booked this property to enjoy while visiting our adult son in Durham. The location was within an easy drive and the cabin was beautiful, well provisioned, and very clean. Comfortable seating was plentiful which made for a relaxing time just hanging out. Games and the paddleboard gave a break from sitting and talking. While the pond is small, it was very pleasant paddling around it early and late in the day. Deer visitors were fun to watch, and ducks and a heron on the pond. We would definitely rent again for future visits.

Gorgeous, secluded getaway

If you are seeking a secluded, waterfront getaway, you won’t be disappointed. The property is beautiful. The house was clean. Many things need maintenance to hold up to the full description provided so be sure to inquire before booking. Owners were prompt in responding to our issues, although only one could be addressed during our stay.

Relaxing stay at a lovely home

We had a great two night stay at this beautiful home. The home was clean and well appointed both inside and out. The hot tub was well maintained and very enjoyable. I would probably classify the body of water as a pond, not a lake, but it was beautiful to look at and we enjoyed a short kayak ride and some paddle boarding. Communication with the owner was prompt and helpful. I was pleased to discover it was only 30 min to downtown Durham for a nice dinner. We've already recommended this home to others.

60th Birthday Celebration

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this property for a long holiday weekend during which we celebrated my sister's 60th Birthday. The lodge is postcard cute and charming. It is modern, clean, nicely decorated and well stocked with linens and kitchen items. The property manager was easy to communicate with during our booking and our stay. Even though it rained during our weekend at the lodge, we were able to keep ourselves entertained with kayaks, pool, bean toss, and other games and recreation equipment that were available for our use. And the huge outdoor porch, hot tub and string lights garnered two thumbs up from the whole family. We would definitely stay again in the future.

I will say that I enjoyed the cabin and my stay. It is a beautiful home. However, my disappointment came a week after my departure. I received an unexpected charge of $20 to my credit card for a stained towel. I was provided with a picture of said towel that left me wondering where exactly the stain was. My two star review is solely a reflection of the “stained towel” that I did not stain. If you plan to stay here, I suggest you take pictures of EVERYTHING, including towels, to protect yourself from unexpected charges a WEEK after departure.

Not secluded

We had a nice time but we were not made aware that the property was on a shared driveway with a cottage right next door that was rented the entire weekend. There were several people working at the cottage Sunday - Tuesday. We left Tuesday morning even though we rented the property through Thursday. We were disappointed that it wasn't as secluded as advertised. The property was very nice and I would recommend this rental if you knew about the close neighbors prior to renting.

This is a beautiful house and we enjoyed our stay with a few disappointments. While the house may be located on private property, it is not in a private location - there is another house and camper on the property in plain view within shouting distance. They report having a fireplace; however, it is for decorative purposes only. The most disappointing part of our stay was the owner's response to us not having hot water the last night and day of our stay. They indicated it was due to the pipes freezing; however, we had plenty of cold water (the hot water facets did not produce any water), and temperatures did not go below freezing the entire time of our stay. They refused to offer any refund and indicated it was our fault for not keeping a facet dripping overnight (when the water went out during the day with temperatures in the 40s).

Made my birthday weekend perfect

Turning 42 I was not looking for a turn up. I wanted peaceful and relaxed. That is exactly what I got. Check in was an easy process. The only problem that I had was I read the code incorrectly, and Communication was slow, but other than that getting into the property was easy. There is a shared driveway that I was not prepared for so be cautious when inviting people and having multiple cars, parking is limited to roughly about four or five cars. After that, you will have to park along the grass near the shared driveway. Also, the pool table is not inside of the cabin. Everything else was perfect. My friends had an amazing time and so did I. The property was clean. The space was as described. although it says that you can sleep 10 people here I do not know how that would be possible. The loft area does allow for a few more people to possibly sleep on the floor or people can sleep in the living room, but I could not see 10 people sleeping there comfortably. I will be booking again because my friends think it’s a great place to have a ladies night. It is tucked away, which makes it even better.
