You’ll be hard pressed to find a more ideal location for visiting Brownlee Reservoir, one of the best places for warmwater fishing in the Pacific Northwest. This rustic cottage is only a 1/4 mile from the boat ramp and has ample room for parking and unloading. Enjoy 360 degree views of the Eagle Valley, beautiful starry skies, and warm welcomes from Richland locals. You’ll have a fully fenced yard, a kitchen stocked with essentials, and space to relax after a hard day of playing.
This 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath house was built in the 1920s and offers a taste of the simple, rural lifestyle that gives Richland its unique charm. Although ideal for groups, families, and pets, the cottage promotes a welcoming atmosphere for all kinds of guests. A secure kennel and fenced yard ensure your four-legged friends are safe, while children can delve into a world of fun with an array of toys, books, and dedicated dishware.
The Fisherman`s Cottage has a large living room with an array of comfortable seating, a large dining table, and basic kitchen essentials for cooking. Its unique appeal lies in its testament to Oregon`s natural splendor, all without compromising on ease or practicality.
You’ll have exclusive access to the house and yard, and we can accommodate easy parking within the gated space in front of the barns and outbuildings. These buildings do function as storage for a working ranch, so clear communication about what parking needs are will be vital for a seamless, coordinated visit. If your visit falls in the autumn months, you may cross paths with a cattle drive or two!
I work in Richland in the mornings, but I live in Baker City. I have a solid team in Richland available in the case of a house related issue or emergency. We will stay in touch primarily via the AirBNB message service, but if you prefer via call or text that can also be arranged.
This is a quietly bustling agricultural town. Your closest neighbors will be cattle, horses, their feed, and the managers of all of them. Oh, and the aggressively friendly horse in the pasture neighboring the house.
The pace of life out here will sound and seem slow and pastoral, and it is. But it is supported and managed by a steady ebb and flow of activity. It’s a live and let live kind of world, be respectful of the lifestyle and you will be a warmly welcomed guest. Please be conscientious of your dust and noise and help us maintain our quiet paradise!
The cottage is located at the end of Sullivan Lane (a dirt road) a quarter of a mile from the boat ramp access. Being the only house within a half mile or so, there’s not much neighborhood to speak of! Just the cows and the nearby agricultural community. The lane is wide and parking is easy both road side and inside the gated area.
This is a wonderful little ranch home that was built in the 1920s and has been used for ranch hand living for many years. The recent decision to convert it to Airbnb use means that it is in the midst of being updated. It is definitely a few rungs above “roughing it”, but it is still rough around the edges in a few ways. It has all the essentials and most creature comforts and we will be adding other amenities over time.
Pets:
Keep pets off of furniture and out of bedrooms. Violations tend to be obvious and cost a lot of extra laundry and cleaning time; these costs may be passed to you. Please note that clothing has a tendency to transfer dog hair, so if you don`t violate the pet rule, you still may be liable for extra cleaning charges if you don`t take steps to manage that transference.
Basement:
Please leave the basement door locked and do not access. It is strictly off-limits to guests.
Supply Closet:
Please do not access the supply closet unless you need more towels as mentioned in the FAQs. If you are unable to find an amenity that is expected, please reach out to me.
Fires:
Carefully observe all fire advisories and regulations. Irresponsible fires are strictly forbidden.
