Kiawah Island, South Carolina - This gorgeous penthouse villa is in an oceanfront building, with incredible ocean views and elevator access. Vaulted ceilings and skylights bring in natural light to create a wonderful ambiance. Unusual ceilings are a unique feature of Maxine's properties. The ceiling in this unit is a contemporarymirror finish. Thespacious kitchen includes a flat surface cooktop and elegant contemporary hood.This villa boasts gorgeous marble and granite baths all with double sinks and plenty of storage. The kitchen has a walk-in pantry, soft closure cabinets, warming drawer, pull-out spice rack (stocked) for guest use, and all the utensils you would have at home.The cooking area opens to the dining area and living room. Porcelain tile floors throughout the living areas add to the beach ambiance in this lovely villa. Guests can relax on the furnished balcony and savor 180 degrees of beautiful beach view. The two master suites have sumptuous king beds while the third bedroom has a queen bed. There is a media room with a wide-screen TV. Guests enjoy access to wireless internet.
There is a maximum of 2 vehicles permitted for overnight parking. This villa also hasan initial supply of linens and towels, a washer and dryer, color cable TV, air conditioning, local telephone service, and 24-hour security in a gated community. Guests are provided with a starter supply of soap, shampoo, kleenex, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent dishwashing detergent. This villa does have elevator service from the ground floor but does not provide approved handicap access from the parking lot sidewalk to the ground floor elevator entrance.
Kiawah Island boasts 30 plus miles of paved bicycle trails. It's an easy jaunt to nearby Night Heron Park green spaces and playgrounds. Bike trails extend all the way to Freshfields Village, where you will find a full-service grocery (Harris Teeter),restaurants, and a myriadof boutiqueshops and services. Kiawah Island’s beautiful 10 miles of hard-packed beach are perfect for bike riding, running, walking, shelling, or simply.

Just a wonderful property and the most comfortable beds we have ever experienced in a rental property. The owner Maxine makes sure every comfort is met and guided us towards some amazing restaurants too. This villa is 10 .

Beautiful Oceanfront Escape

The villa is on the top floor of Windswept with easy access via elevator. There is a new handicap ramp as well.Upon entering the lovely foyer, your eyes are drawn immediately to the ocean view out the back windows off the dining and living areas. There is a sliding door to a small covered porch with a beautiful ocean view. We enjoyed watching the deer munching on the dunes with coffee in the morning and evening. The kitchen is as advertised.... well-stocked with everything you may need. The main floor bedroom was perfect for our teenage son. Upstairs the two master suites are prettily appointed, both with ocean views. Great bathrooms, too. There are some hidden surprises, too!The villa is centrally located in East Beach, very close to Night Heron Park and The Sanctuary. We really enjoyed morning walks amd evening bike rides along the paved paths. We ate at The Players Pub (the pretzel!), Cherrywood BBQ (nachoes!), had pizza from Tomasso (prosciutto and fig!), and several places at Freshfields and at Bohicket Marina at Seabrook. If renting bikes, reserve ahead at Alligator Bike Rentals for good prices. Island Beach Services sets up the blue umbrellas and chairs just down Boardwalk 21 and 22. (Max privides lots of chairs, so we recommend just getting umbrellas.) :) Let them do the hard work of drilling in those umbrellas!The chek in and out process could not be easier. Maxine is a wonderful hostess! We'd love to stay here again!

Enjoyed our stay here very much, as we always do on Kiawah. The location is perfect on East Beach. Maxine was very helpful and considerate, has great recommendations for dining, etc. We appreciated her desire to make sure we had everything we need! Hope to be back soon.

Beautiful spot

You can’t beat the beautiful views of the ocean from both floors of the unit. The place was very nicely done and was stocked with everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay!

Absolutely Recommend

We were a little skeptical to celebrate the holidays away from home but Maxine is an amazing host and made this trip simply one of our top favorite Christmases as a family! The villa is beautifully decorated and Maxine provides more kitchen supplies and starter supplies than we ever have! I was particularly nervous cooking Christmas dinner in a kitchen that was not mine. She simply had everything that was needed and more! The view was studying and we were pleasantly surprised to see both sunrise and sunset from her villa! Top-notch, and would definitely recommend

Kiawah vacation

Kiawah Island is so beautiful, and our condo overlooked the beautiful beach plus wildlife living in the trees along the dunes. We loved all the nature this island has. The condo is centrally located and an easy 5 minute drive to Fresh Fields for shopping. The only negative is there are about 20 stairs to get to the first floor where the elevator is so for unloading it was a bit difficult. The unit itself didn't have an elevator, which I had assumed it did but that is on me. Maxine the owner is a true delight and very concerned about your stay. She wants to make sure you have the very best experience. We have stayed in a lot of beach homes on the east, west and south, and I must say she is the best host we have ever had. Kiawah Island is a must especially if you have never been. We will be back!

Quintessential Kiawah Family stay

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, ocean view condo and Maxine's careful attention to her guests made the trip so memorable. In addition to being right on the beach Maxine's deep connection to Kiawah and the surrounding areas helped us quickly locate all of the best restaurants and activities providing for a wonderful vacation for my family.

Beautiful decor, but needs deep cleaning

Have stayed in Windswept villas over 20 times. Condo was decorated beautifully. Stocked pretty well. Outside patio super small. I had to sweep both sand and leaves from the foyer as soon as I got there. Inside windows not clean. could write in the dust on shelves. A few dead moths in the window shelf. Dead bug in the corner. I had to go the the grocery and buy Chlorox to clean the molded washing machine before I could do laundry. I went to get a towel and washcloth out of BR cabinet and they were all significantly damp. I had to dry them. the beds had old memory foam on mattresses that was broken up. My fitted sheet was on inside out and continually came untucked. Same with the master BR. Cheap, one ply tissue paper and toilet paper. Condo did not smell good. Probably needs air filters changed. I cannot recommend for the price and will not rent again. Has a lot of potential, but I came to relax, not clean. Disappointed.

Maxine has done everything possible to create a delightful stay at Kiawah. She has provided everything needed to prepare meals. We appreciated the beach chairs and towels, She offers great recommendations on what to do and where to eat. She did everything possible to make sure her guests had a wonderful stay.

Stunning Condo and Ocean View

This is a true luxury, beautiful ocean view condo.. while we were two couples, the condo can sleep eight. If having a television is important to you (it was to us), every bedroom as well as the living area is equipped with one, most have their own private bathrooms and the one that doesn’t shares a jack and Jill. The owner, Maxine, suggests restaurants, both on and off the island, which is wonderful, especially for first-time visitors. Kiawah is a beautiful, private island. And February is, in my opinion, the perfect time to visit.

A Perfect Vacation!

Spring Break family getaway

Beautiful penthouse

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this exquisite penthouse. The location was perfect - steps away from the beach. The space was beautiful with fun pops of color, a well stocked kitchen, and comfortable seating and beds. We will never forget the gorgeous sunrises over the ocean. Maxine is delightful and generously shares recommendations for restaurants and activities. Highly recommend!

Oceanfront Kiawah Villa

First of all, I want to say that the owner, Maxine, is wonderful to work with. She provided her personal recommendations for dining, places to visit, and the best place to rent bikes while on the island. The villa was tastefully decorated and just beautiful! She provides beach towels, beach chairs and even a boogie board. I especially enjoyed the nice collection of books perfect for the beach. There is even a reading loft! Enjoy your stay at this fabulous villa!

I bought this unit the first week June of 2012. Having been a regular guest on Kiawah, I found it almost impossible to leave once here. I knew I had to have a villa on the ocean. I love fishing hiking, especially bike riding, walking the beach, reading, eating great food, the symphony, theater, music, art, and my most favorite is people--getting to know people. Kiawah has it all.

I knew that I needed a view and since Kiawah has a 4 story building restriction, I wanted to be on the top floor because the view of the ocean is so beautiful from here. Even the Sanctuary Hotel one building away is only 3 stories tall. It was important to me to not only wake up each morning looking at the ocean but also hearing it. My favorite city in the US is Charleston and Kiawah is such close proximity.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Watching the glorious Kiawah sunset from my covered balcony and having a great glass of wine with my friends and family is the stuff memories are made of. Having world class golf courses in my backyard to be relished and enjoyed as well as the first class tennis facilities. The spa at the Sanctuary has been enjoyed by my friends and family...it is rated as one of the top 5 spas in the US.
