You’ll be walking distance from downtown, and a short drive to all the Black Hills has to offer. I am born and raised in the Black Hills so I know all the good spots to eat, hike, bike, or whatever you're after here on your vacation.

Bugs in the middle of January. Most of them dead. Varieties include flys, box elder bugs, and stink bugs. I had to kill at least one stink bug every day we were there. Absolutely disgusting the amount of bugs that were there when we 1st arrived. I messaged the host, but we never received a response to resolve the issue. I've included pictures for your own review.

Host response and attention was immediate! Grateful for that. Apartment had everything we needed, was clean, and tidy, within walking distance to downtown, and offered a lovely neighborhood for walking. Would highly recommend.

This is a very sweet, intimate space that is perfect as a homebase during a trip; as well as a comfortable space to stay and relax. The kitchen is well stocked with basic spices (check the cabinet before buying more like I did), utensils, and cookware.I had zero issues with Wi-Fi (always appreciated); and the TV setup is GREAT!Communication with the host was excellent! Fast, friendly, and while I didn't have any problems, I am sure it would have been promptly resolved.The check-in process was seamless, and the guestbook is a very nice touch!HIGHLY recommend and would stay here again in the future

Missourians Travel West!

This place was absolutely charming! We traveled with our two kids - 6 and 3. It was clean, nicely decorated and the Keurig and FREE NICE laundry facility worked awesome for our long trip! We would definitely stay here again! The host was extremely responsive when I had questions. We also felt safe with several locking doors (with codes) into our unit. Thank you Joe!

Great Place!! Great Host!!

This pllace exceeded our expectations. Very convenient location, super clean, roomy Accommodations. The rooms were very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed plus more! Great water pressure in the shower and luscious towels! If we are ever back in the area, we would definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything, Joe!

Hiking South Dakota

Unit was clean, well stocked, good beds, adequate space. Host was very quick to respond to a minor issue that we encountered. Table space and chairs were limited, but adequate. Single AC unit didn't work as well as desired for sleepers at night when bedroom doors were closed, but not a significant problem. Excellent place to stay, great location, walking distance to restaurants, Presidents, and downtown.

Comfortable

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Black Hills and the beautiful nature that the area has to offer. Also the Badlands was amazing and there’s so much to see and do. The Minute Man museum was very enlightening . Our stay was in a convenient location to access both areas and the apartment was clean and comfortable

Black Hills Vacation

This was the perfect place and in a perfect location for our vacation. It’s centrally located in the historic district and close to all things Black Hills. (And the hospital if you have the misfortune of having to visit!). The beds are comfortable, there are washers and dryers on the property, tourist information pamphlets, and a great neighborhood to walk through. Also walking distance to downtown. Joe was easy to communicate with and we had no issues.

Cute Remodel

Nice remodel of a historic space. Very functional unit in a quiet neighborhood. Joe was very good at accommodating our check-in day. Only spent a night but enjoyed the walking path at the park. Thanks!

Easy access to downtown and interstate

We loved that when we were in Rapid City we could walk to the downtown area, and when we drove off to other adventures the highway was close by. A perfect balance. The beds were comfortable and the space was exactly what we needed for a party of 3.

Perfect location.

This property is in the middle of all the national parks within an hours drive and also walking distance to downtown Rapid City. The place we stayed was very comfortable and met all our needs. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Perfect location

The location of lovely historical homes is perfect. Plus it’s a nicely central spot to quickly get to anything you might want to do. The decor was clean and simple. TV/streaming/wifi easy to access. Laundry was a great addition as the machines were practically industrial size and got everything cleaned so I didn’t have to do laundry when I get home. Will be staying again!

Comfortable Stay Near Dinosaur Park and Everything Else!

My husband and I had a nice and comfortable stay at Joe's cozy and beautiful apartment/home. We could tell that a lot of thought was put into creating this space for families to enjoy. There were even dishes for my grandson to have his breakfast and a covered cup with straw for his drink. We took advantage of the second room by letting our grandson stay overnight with us. This was the perfect spot for us and it was close to the house my son and daughter-in-law just purchased. In fact, it was close to the Air Force Base and everything that we needed to visit. We had a great time. Thank you Joe for opening up your home for families to enjoy!

Home away from home

Very nice place. Coffee was provided and other things in kitchen like spices. Also had shampoo and soap in bathroom. Really clean. The host, Joe, was wonderful.

Vacation stay

Our stay was wonderful. It was within 30 to 45 minutes of most of our activities we were doing. It was a great size for our family of 4. The owner was super responsive and the keypads on the doors were nice and easy to use. Thanks for a wonderful place to stay!

Family trip to South Dakota and the Black Hills

Everything looked and smelled clean- the towels, sheets, the whole place. The instructions for getting in and the locks on the doors were easy to do. Joe has lots of little touches, too, like soaps/ shampoo in the showers, lots of pillows and space under the beds to store things plus nice sized closets. We never turned the tv on but it's there in case you're bored or get trained out on your adventures. His place is centrally located so nothing is more than 1 hour to get to for the majority of sights in the Black Hills area. Perfect for our day trips to Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Spearfish Canyon/ Deadwood and the Badlands (which was on our way home). The bathroom isn't huge and neither is the shower so if you have a picky wife- beware! But let's be honest, you're not having a party in there so to my family of five it was just fine! Each bedroom has a ceiling fan as does the living room where the central air is located. If you leave the bedroom doors open with the fans and air on it was nice and cool even in mid July. Close the bedroom doors and it could get a bit warmer depending on how many bodies you had in each bed (2 to a bed for us). But again, MINOR aspects to a great place to sleep and shower and then leave for 10 hours to admire God's beauty of South Dakota. We weren't without anything you'd expect to have in a hotel- and you got more than what you'd get at a hotel! Thanks Joe for making our first trip to South Dakota a great one!!!

Great Rapid City location

Joe was a very responsive host for questions I had at the beginning of the stay. This location is close to the center of Rapid City and is a good central location to explore places like the badlands, Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore and Devils Tower. All are a bit of a drive but it was nice to come back to this property each evening after exploring all day.
