Nestling on a small lake just outside of Baysville Ontario, this cottage is perfect for the family Muskoka getaway, all year round. With a large wrap around porch facing the lake, morning coffees just got that much more enjoyable. This large two story cottage has 5 bedrooms, an outside hot tub and newly upgraded internet suitable for remote office or streaming movies.

For winter vacationers, the cottage is fully winterized and heated, and has easy access to both the lake and to local snowmobile trails. A large heated garage is perfect for maintenance of ATVs or snowmobiles.

Licensed for STR Rentals since 2022.

The cottage was clean and spacious. We joked we could each have our own wing! The renovated parts are beautiful. The private dock was close to the cottage and wonderful to sit on. The area was quiet and private. We liked the email telling us what to expect/bring. 99% sure we’ll be going back next fall.

Excellent stay at a beautiful cottage

The pictures really didn't do this property justice. We were blown away with how spacious and accommodating the cottage was. Host was fantastic. Would recommend.

Wonderful place

We had a great experience at this location , cleaned please , awesome view and access to the lake , host was incredible. I recommend this places to anyone who wants to spent time with family.

Great Family Getaway

The home was very large and allowed multiple spaces for people to do different activities. The air conditioning was a plus you don’t usually find at a cottage. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Kitchen has many basic cookware which made packing light. Master bed connects with shared washroom to double twin room which was perfect for parents and littles on the trip. The lake was awesome, very clean and warm. The dock leads into shallow water so no head first diving but the boys had a great time with cannon balls. Had a SUP board, super easy to use kayaks. We brought a small Lilly pad and my own SUP to round things out a little more. Steps down to dock are not the most accessible, had to help our parents down and up, would be nice to have those levelled out in the future or hand rails added, but we made it work. Hot tub was cool addition, though it’s quite chemically smelling (hard to get off the suit) but likely better than not enough chemicals being used and it was clear it’s an older tub that not super maintained so we knew what we were in for. Nice to soak in the cooler night air though! Internet was amazing speed. Very close to town for quick refills as needed. Overall, great place, great hosts and would stay again anytime!

Relaxation on Ril Lake

I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our week on Ril Lake! The cottage was comfortable and well stocked. Trevor was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. The kids and adults alike enjoyed the dock and all the amenities. Would highly recommend a stay here!

Lovely Place to Stay!

We were surprised by how well stocked this cottage was. Everything we needed to prepare our Christmas dinner was there. The view of the lake was amazing and we were able to enjoy it from the hot tub. Everything felt clean and communication with the owner was always great. I would recommend this spot for families with kids of any age or as a fun get away with friends.

Relaxing getaway

This cozy cottage was the perfect spot for our family (at any one time we had 5/6 people). Lots of space, a well stocked kitchen (equipment), cottage comfortable beds and a beautiful view. Trevor was a responsive host to any queries once we were there. Some initial challenges with the hot tub and dock umbrella but we sorted them out. We were blessed with great crisp sunny weather. Lake fish (bass) are not plentiful! We brought our ski boat and had fun with that regardless of shallow spots. We would recommend and return again!

Sweet rustic muskoka getaway

We rented in April- and what a fabulous week! The property is spacious and well provisioned. It is full of rustic charm paired with homelike conveniences- plus a games room downstairs and laundry! We were looking for a cottage feel and this one absolutely delivers. The hot tub was a really nice treat on the cool days and there are well maintained roads to get to the property. This area does have enforced limits on loud noise which made for a very quiet outdoors experience where you can enjoy the wildlife around you. Being the start of the season there were a few dusty dishes etc when we arrived but that was to be expected. The host was excellent and responsive and we will absolutely rent here again!

Perfect Winter Getaway

If you're expecting a cottage with brand new appliances and furniture and bedding then this place isn't for you. But if you're looking for a great family getaway with character and everything you could need to relax and have fun then you've found the right place.. We chose this area because it is one of the only places with winter ATV trails and this cottage is very conveniently located. But even without ATVs the place is a blast. We were there for the coldest day of the year (-37C without the wind chill) and were still able to enjoy some outdoor time with the hot tub. There is also an air hockey table, board games and exercise equipment to entertain you when you're inside. The kids especially loved playing hide and seek because the cottage is basically made for it. While the property itself has neighbours close by, everything has been built in such a way that you have lots of privacy and feel like you're in your own personal slice of heaven. The hosts were attentive and helpful in answering all our questions before arrival and even checked in while we were there (without being overbearing). In short, a great place for a great time.
