Excellent location for access to Lasson Volcanic National Park (north entrance). Extremely quiet; limited restaurant choices, however, the Pioneer Pizza was excellent for gluten free option.

Cozy and charming

Really perfect spot. Had everything we needed- especially in the kitchen! Really close to Lassen, which is why we picked it. The hot tub was such a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend

Visit to Lassen VNP

This is a beautiful property and very conveniently located outside of Lassen NP. The house was exceptionally clean and well stocked and we appreciated the opportunity to do laundry. We would definitely recommend this property to other guests.

Great Cabin! Wonderful!

It was a great property. Very comfy and cozy. We unfortunately had to cut our stay short because of the forest fires. But I would to come back and stay during the winter!

Great Getaway to Lassen NP

The house was a great place to base a visit to Lassen NP and surrounding places. Loved the location and the house was very comfortable and well appointed. We used the kitchen and bar-b-q to make dinner and breakfast. No real phone signal but enjoyed being disconnected for the most part for a couple of days.

Perfect place

So much love went into creating this cabin and keeping it simple and comfortable. The owners thought of it all and it truly felt like I was at home with all my things. I showed up with a bag of clothes and needed nothing more! Lots of love felt in this home.

Beautiful cabin near Lassen

Host was great, very accommodating. Beautiful, spacious house (for us) had everything. Very close to Lassen. Somewhat remote location (Shingletown’s population listed at 1K) but had (ok, so-so) internet access, a grocery store (with deli) and pizza place 5 miles away. Overall just a great place at a reasonable price. Walked dog in the neighborhood. Couldn’t be more pleased!

The host was extremely responsive when we had issues logging into WiFi since there is no cell phone service at the house. However, it took numerous restarts of the router and several log in passwords and networks before they could get us connected the morning following our arrival. We were not able to get the streaming TV service working until the evening of our second day. Their communication was excellent and they went above and beyond following up about the issue.. I deducted a star because the amenities listed were not available. While we were there, they had the hot tub maintenance guy come, arriving while we were preparing dinner; this should have been done earlier in the day or between guests. The last issue was a water leak that started during our first night and was leaking at an estimated rate of 1 gallons per minute, causing a large standing water puddle, water straying from the main line going into the house, and a loud noise of running water throughout the entire house, loud enough to be disruptive of sleep. I immediately communicated the leak to the owner/property manager and they did not make arrangements for the plumber to come while we were there. The shower curtain liner could use replacing and the bath tub could use a better scrub as there was pink mildew growing heavily on the curtain and in a few spots that had been missed between the tub and the tile wall. It was pretty minor, but not what we expected to find. We’d book this house again!

Thank you for staying with us and for the thoughtful feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay overall, and especially appreciate your kind comments about our communication and responsiveness. We did want to provide a little additional context regarding a few of the items mentioned. The hot tub was serviced prior to your arrival and was checked again during your stay as part of our routine maintenance to ensure the water remained properly balanced and the hot tub was available and in working order throughout your visit. Regarding the water leak, we were made aware of the leak and arranged for a plumber to come at checkout. Our intention was actually to minimize disruption to your stay and avoid shutting off the home's water while you were there. We were not aware that the sound of the leak was disturbing your sleep; had we known that, we could have walked you through shutting down the water while you slept. With the WiFi, we were happy to help troubleshoot the connection and walk through restarting the router. Because cell service in this mountain area can be limited, we understand how important reliable WiFi is. We weren't aware that you continued to have difficulty with the TV streaming service after getting connected, and we would have continued troublshooting with you. We also appreciate the housekeeping feedback and will make sure those items are addressed with our cleaning team. Thank you again for staying with us.

Beautiful Cabin

Our overall experience was great. We had rainy weather but the cabin was so cozy that we did not mind staying indoors at all. The wood fire along with the A-frame design with the ceiling windows made for a perfect sanctuary. When the weather was not too bad, jumping in the hot tub was so relaxing. The back yard is among so many trees that it feels like you are in the middle of the woods, which we loved, especially our pup. We drove about 15 minutes up the road to Lassen where we were able to catch tons of fresh snowfall. Anna Marie was a great host and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. We hope to be back one day.
