The perfect spot for the fall and winter in Wimberley. Walking distance of Wimberley Square. Quick access to the Blanco River if it's still hot. A great screened in porch when the weather is just right. A truly unique property (in a good way) you will never forget with the whimsical attitude Wimberley is known for. The Hippie Pickle is the perfect place for your next Wimberley getaway. Be sure to check the discounted weekday rates to extend your stay.

Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, hot tub, fireplace, screened in porch, fountain, firepit, and did we mention the whimsy? So much more than your normal stay on 3/4 of an acre right near everything you want for your trip.

No dogs on furniture. There will be a charge for professional cleaning if there are spots on the carpets.

It was a wonderful stay. The house was big & the patios to relax were wonderful to relax. The location was further away than indicated from the square & the inside of the house was very dark.I would highly recommend it for parties & large groups.

Dirty. Table had food crust. Carpet was filthy. Sheets had stains and some hair on them so I put them in the washer only to find that the dryer had no heat, so they didn't dry. Fountain in the pictures doesn't work and is just green and dirty. Yard is neat, but just not maintained.

Great location to downtown Wimberley

This property is in a nice quiet neighborhood with an easy walk to restaurants and the downtown area. The beds and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable, but the sofa sleeper was uncomfortable. Fortunately, we brought some air mattresses just in case. The carpet is in desperate need of cleaning, and we had a few maintenance issues while we were there. The owners were available by phone and were responsive. Overall, a good stay and I would still recommend this property.

Great weekend in Wimberley

House was really fun and funky. Hot tub and fireplace worked great for our chilly weekend stay. Only ding was that the guidebook that I was sent a couple days prior to check in was for a different property- so we went to the wrong place at first. Had to text to get correct address- but otherwise was a great stay!

I'll start by saying the location is great, very close to the square and you could definitely walk on a good weather day however probably wouldn't recommend it at night.The house itself is cute and was well maintained. Great backyard and screened-in porch. My most concerning issue was the actual check-in. The email I received a few days prior gave all the details of the property and provided me with an address. We went there could not find it and got lost, I finally did call the property owner and she informed me that our rental was a different address. She said I should have received another email with the correct address, but when I looked we received that email at 5:45 p.m. and check-in was at 4:00 p.m. The only downfall with the home was the third bedroom which seemed to be converted from a garage I assume at one point. Had its own air condition and heating system that was controlled by a remote that we could never figure out. Thus I slept in a very very cold room. The outdoor hot tub water level was very very low and had a lot of foam in it, thus we did not use it. I did email the owners regarding our arrival complaint and about the hot tub, but never heard back. I assume I could have called the phone number again but I didn't want to bug them that way I thought they would respond to the email.syytem.system and the remotes that

Christmas Holidays

We actually stayed Dec.23 through Dec. 27th The house and location was excellent! The house was awesome, very well decorated ( they even had a Christmas tree up and decorated for us ! ) The fireplace wasn't working , but the owner told us about it beforehand! The only problem we had,is the garbage disposal wasn't working but it was a holiday, no big deal ! We will definitely be back to stay is this VRBO ! Lgartotbbeforehand! Evebef

The vibes are impeccable!

How to describe the Hippie Pickle? Imagine if your most interesting aunt decorated a vacation rental. (You know the one - she’s never been married but brings a new guy to the holidays every year, ran off to Argentina at 21, was once a tango instructor back in the 90s…) This place is so fun! I love that they have a scavenger hunt because there’s so much cool stuff at the property. We saw some deer, enjoyed the hot tub, and were able to walk to the Wimberley town square! It is QUIET here, so you may want a white noise machine at night. Had a ball and definitely hope to come back!

House was clean on inside, not outside

Outside of the house was in a state of disarray. Outdoor fountain was not working and filled with green slime. there were lots of tvs (4 or 5), but the only one that worked was in the master. Garbage disposal was clogged up -- wouldn't turn on and holding water. It really seemed as though no one had checked the details on the house. I communicated these things to the owner.

What a Wonderful Home Close to the Square

We stayed at this property to get married in Driftwood. This home is so eclectic and fun, with great amenities and spacious rooms. We took advantage of the hot tub and the back screened in porch to watch TV. I usually stay in a more remote location around Wimberley, but we needed to be close to a friend who lives there and the Wimberley Square is right down the road. Fantastic stay!

Great stay in Wimberley

We've visited Wimberley many times over the years, however this unique property made the visit special. Quiet & with a fantastic garden yet within easy walk of the downtown area. Definitely to be recommended.

Lovely Wimberley Stay

Just a fantastic getaway! Very cozy, accommodating, and relaxing. Highly recommend . Always lovely to be able to bring your dog. Close to the square and grocery stores. Definitely will return!

Terrific holiday headquarters!

Love this colorful, art-filled property within walking (really!) distance from the shops and restaurants in Wimberley. Everything you could need in the kitchen, books to read, games and puzzles to enjoy, even a scavenger hunt on the property. Beds were extremely comfortable, missed trying the hot tub, but will definitely be back to try it next time.
