Downtown Liberty Historic Home with Screened Porch

Immerse yourself in history with one of the oldest houses in Liberty - Franklin Historic House. This 1842 stunner has an updated kitchen and modern furnishings throughout but you can still feel the history. This Franklin House once served as a dormitory for a local ladies college. Easy walking to downtown Liberty restaurants and William Jewell College.

**Important: Owners live on site but there are no shared spaces. This Airbnb is a private unit. No front door access or tours.
The space
Enjoy this beautiful suite in the heart of downtown Liberty. The first-floor rental unit can be accessed by the beautiful wrap screen porch and includes kitchen, dining room, living room, two bedrooms and a stunning Victorian bathroom with clawfoot tub. Enjoy access to the massive yard with family games.

**Owners occasionally live in the main house apartment with no shared living spaces.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire rental unit, newly remodeled. No front door access. No Gatherings or Parties please unless authorized by the host.
Other things to note
Accessible: The unit can be accessed without stairs from a back door.

Great historical property

Great historical property with everything you would need for a comfortable stay! Liberty was a great town and this house had great access to William Jewell.

Lovely place! The screened in porch is relaxing and has a cozy feel. Just a short walk from downtown Liberty.

Beautiful home and neighborhood, loved the authentic feel and comfort of the home. It was very clean and well stocked. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were spacious. We would love to stay here again.

Just Perfect!!

We were moving our girls into William Jewell, this is the absolute perfect location, just directly down the hill from the college. Super cute and cozy. Would definitely stay again!!!

Great house in a great location

Cute and charming. Had everything we needed and had a blast. Easy Uber rides to Excelsior Springs for the wine trolley and walking distance to the Liberty square.

Charming Victorian Near William Jewell

Stayed at this charming Victorian house near William Jewell College and was absolutely delighted! The home retains its classic elegance while offering modern comforts, nestled in a peaceful part of town. Proximity to the college was convenient, and the hosts were warm and welcoming. Highly recommend this picturesque escape for anyone visiting the area!

Historical Home

We loved this house and the quiet neighborhood! We sat in the back patio or the front porch for most of our time at the house. The bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom were beautiful!

Honeymoon haven

We rented the Franklin for our honeymoon. The beds were super comfortable. The host went above and beyond in making sure we had all we needed, even left us a wedding gift.💕 It is a1800s home with a high claw foot tub so that could be a challenge for some. Very cute place In close proximity to so many amenities. We both highly recommend!

Close to Worlds of Fun

We enjoyed staying here with our two kids. Appreciated the bottled water, coffee and creamer. We didn’t do any cooking but plenty of supplies and basics if we needed to. Enjoyed the old home feel in the historic district! Thank you for enough towels and extras like lotions, shampoo and body wash! Beds were very comfortable and the place was exactly what we needed.

Absolutely Perfect!

I love the coziness of old houses, and this place was so wonderful! I ate my breakfasts on the screened in porch, while reading my book, watched a podcast at the kitchen banquette, watched a movie with the kids in the living room, took a soak in the deep claw foot tub, and snuggled into the four poster bed in the bedroom. It was a glorious 4 days, and I will definitely be booking again if the opportunity is available! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Outstanding

We absolutely adored this place! Very quiet, clean, beautifully decorated with obvious attention and respect paid to the age of the home. The location is ideal, close to anything you’d need. Kitchen is spacious and has nice appliances. The communication with the host was great, and the local property management was very attentive and helpful! Any time we visit the area in the future, I’ll check for this gem first! Thank you!

LOVE!!

Beautiful little home with screened-in porch, perfect for morning coffee, in a quaint historical neighborhood. The property is within walking distance from the Downtown Liberty town square with great boutiques and amazing local restaurants. Highly recommend heading to Blush Farms Cork + Board for great wine and charcuterie on their patio! We had a wonderful girls' weekend that included a spa day at The Elms in Excelsior Springs (just 20 minutes away). This will definitely become an annual trip for us!

Charming Liberty Property

The space was very clean, close (walking distance) proximity to Liberty square restaurants, and the architecture of this charming old home is just great. The property manager was very accommodating, attentive and aimed to please. We had no issues during our stay but I know they would’ve been addressed quickly had we needed assistance. No complaints.

quiet neighborhood /convenient location

The apartment was cozy and clean. Check in and out was easy. Host was responsive. Be warned the clawfoot tub was tall if your shorter it takes some work to get in and out. The beds were comfortable the pillows firm. Could use another outlet in the bedroom. It was close enough to travel to the city with ease. The neighborhood was quiet. Thanks for sharing your home.

Great place to stay

Well stocked. Warm and comfortable Very unique tub, step high. There were four of us. The one bed is good and comfortable for two people. The second bed might hold 2 small kids, but is too small for two adults. The couch has a metal bar in the middle and isn’t comfortable to sleep on. So although there were four of us we were short one bed. I felt the listing of five wasn’t realistic. The door to the smaller room stuck an you need someone from the out side to push the door to open it. Besides those two issues it was a great place to stay.

Beautiful Historic Home stay

Overall it was nice stay. Had a small problem with door key on arrival but was promptly taken care of by manager. Liked entry on ground floor. Wife and I are elderly and I have mobility problems so private parking in the rear with a walk across a unlevel backyard with luggage was a little difficult. Had a threshold to MBR with a trip hazard at door. The old style tub was beautiful but almost impossible for an elderly person to climb in to. The roofers nailing a new roof on the house next door on Saturday morning woke us up at 7:30 a.m. so sleeping in was out of the question. There is Roku for entertainment but if you want a live TV show good luck and if you want more than one cup coffee brewed at a time bring your own coffee pot. They have a Keurig pot. But it is very clean and charming and safe.

Perfect place to stay in Liberty!

This is a very well appointed home so close to William Jewell and downtown Liberty! We stayed here while visiting my daughter's family in Liberty and it was so comfortable. Will definitely stay again in the future.
