Legacy Room at The Willis-James

Being the largest of the bedrooms in the 1830s addition, this space welcomes you with dark, rich wood set against a historic shade of pink, and highlighted by a floral area rug. The sturdy king poster bed, spacious dresser, writing desk and adequate closet space are well-suited to visitors of historic Chillicothe. The private bath features a walk-in shower, cast iron clawfoot tub, pedestal sink and decorative tile.
This room honors the legacy of all those who have owned this majestic home. The Willis-James is one of the older homes in Chillicothe and recognized on the National Historic Register. Names such as Willis, James, Worthington, Spencer, Claypool, Walke, Tiffin, Cook, McCallum, and Biggs all have direct connections to the history of this home, and most played key roles in the shaping of Chillicothe and the state of Ohio.
