The Hemlock- Timber Frame Barndominium

Come, unplug and relax at The Hemlock.
A barndominium where old meets cozy modern. Creaky floors, white-oak beams and old world textured walls paired with camel leather recliners, velvet bed frames and a hammered copper apron sink make this place stand out.
The Hemlock has an open floor plan, allowing connection and conversation to happen. It is fully stocked with dishes and linens so do not worry about packing the kitchen sink. We've got you.
According to installer, Wifi is coming in October.

A few conveniences are a patio, hot tub, toothbrush sinks installed in the non-suite rooms, laundry rooms on the main floor and upstairs and plenty of seating in the living room and outdoor spaces.
All bedrooms have ceiling fans installed.
We are conveniently located just a few miles off of I-77, a little over 20mins to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Sugarcreek, Amish Country, and wedding venues. 1 mile from the Towpath Trail and 3 miles from Zoar. Bikers welcome!
You will have an 11 minute drive to Rivercrest Farms and 25 minutes to the Enchanted Acres venues. Our hope is that youā€™ll leave refreshed with relationships strengthened.

All but the basement is yours to enjoy! It is unfinished.

Itā€™s country life. Youā€™ll hear an occasional rooster and dirt bike.

Wedding venues. We are 11 minutes from Rivercrest Farms and 25 minutes from the Enchanted Acres venues.

Plenty of parking on the premises.

You can see the road and two houses from the front of The Hemlock and one pond across the road.
The circulating fans in the great room need to remain on to keep the air moving and conditioned.

The Barndominium is the most unique and wonderful VRBO I have ever booked. Comfortable, clean, full of all the amenities you need to relax and unplug for an incredible weekend with your group or family. We will book again!

Franklin was a wonderful host with not only helpful information, but also who genuinely wanted us to be comfortable and enjoy our stay. The Hemlock Place is clean and beautiful, with attention to detail in every room. We loved our stay and would definitely come back! Weā€™d also recommend it to others! Hosts like Franklin are a gem in the rough!!

This was an awesome Bardominium that worked perfectly with our friends attending a local wedding. It couldn't have been better. Our Host Franklin was available throughout the stay to help us with any questions we had. The property is beautiful, and not extra charge for the rooster crowing in the morning, the donkey doing his hee haw thing throughout the day, or the deer roaming every morning and evening. Could not have been a more pleasant stay. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a country get-away spot.

Bachelorette trip

We had an amazing time at the Hemlock! the hosts were able to get us in early so my sister could set up for my bachelorette. They were so responsive when we needed something. Everyone who stayed with me raved about the place and the details in everything are incredible! We all felt right at home. Would 100% stay again, canā€™t say enough good things about this place. Absolute perfect place to host a bachelorette!

Such a beautiful space for friends and family!! We canā€™t wait to go back! Everything you need is there in plenty! Woods for adventuring, hot tub and fire pit make for some great memories! Love at first sight. That is how I describe this wonderful home! When you pull into the driveway and see the home, you immediately think - comfort, but it is when you open the front door that you are mesmerized!! It is so beautiful and well appointed! Everything is sparkling clean. The kitchen has everything you could ever want or need. The theater room is just plain fun! Sitting on the front porch in the morning drinking coffee or sitting out back in chairs or the hot tub while under the stars, just adds to the magnificence. In addition, Franklin is a very attentive host. I highly recommend this home and am determined to return to it one day!

Christmas at the Hemlock Place

Our family spent Christmas Eve and Day at The Hemlock Place. It was absolutely beautiful and perfect. Everything you need is right on hand! Franklin was an amazing host with great communication. The decorating is beautiful! We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, the grill, the wood burner and all of the beauty surrounding the barn. We couldnā€™t have been happier!

Wow!

Words canā€™t even describe this lovely home away from home. It worked out perfectly for our retreat. I would highly recommend and I hope the roads lead us back to Ohio. The only downfall I would say would be the bad phone reception but Wi-Fi was available and being without phones for a few bought us all closer together. Thank you for being a wonderful host.

Our Amish Club

Overall we were quite pleased with our stay. The only issue was with the bedroom over the kitchen, as the one bed had black dog hairs on it.... a little disturbing as we were under the impression that this was a pet free property and that sheets should have been changed on the one bed. The rest of the barn was perfection.

Franklin was a wonderful host from the onset. This was our first VRBO experience and Franklin established a high bar in terms of expectations. The property for immaculate and our grandchildren especially enjoyed the open room environment. All rooms and amenities were well appointed and we will look to book again.Our primary purpose was family lodging for a wedding we attended and this layout met all expectations. This would be a wonderful location to simply relax and enjoy some family time.Only challenge for us was the floors on the first floor arevery loud when walking and awoken our one grandchild. The benefits of the home and Franklin's hospitality make this a 10 out of 10.

The BEST weekend for our family!

What a beautiful property and place to bring your loved ones! It is so beautiful, so clean and very well thought-out. Decorated like a magazine, you feel like you're somewhere very special. It has every necessity and everything you could possibly need; comfortable beds, plenty of dishes, towels, etc, plus it has all the charm you would want when booking a barn! Unique experience for sure! We gathered around the large dining table and shared meals together, played games in the comfortable living area, drove a short 10 minutes for a beautiful hike, and gathered around the fire pit at night. I can't think of a better place to gather. Thank you, Franklin, for hosting our family and creating a beautiful, unique space for memories to be made! We were beyond happy with our stay.

The Hemlock Place is rustic and comfortable. There is plenty of space for your group! We have enough room for 15 people to sit comfortably in the living room and enjoy a cup of coffee while playing a group game.
There is 30 feet of space between you and the peak. Imagine how your thoughts can soar with so much room :)
