Just as described in the listing. Nice location and we enjoyed our stay. Nicely decorated and comfy beds. Excellent water pressure in the showers. There is a road conveniently located behind the property that leads to a small parking area and beach access or you can access via nearby public beach access roads. You can purchase an annual beach parking pass for 12 at local gas stations and souvenir shops. The booking staff and management staff were super friendly, helpful and responsive. We will definitely refer to friends and stay again in the future.

Nice but no internet and there was a roach problem

The property itself was nice and clean when we arrived, and we were initially quite comfortable settling in. However, we immediately had trouble connecting to the internet. Though there were two TVs, only the one in the main living room was able to connect. We were told a new router would arrive the next day, but unfortunately, it never did.More concerning was the presence of roaches. At first, we noticed just a couple crawling around, and while that was unpleasant, we tried not to make a big deal of it. But the next morning, we found one crawling on my partner and another on my grandson’s bed. That was upsetting and unacceptable.We contacted VRBO, and I do appreciate how quickly and professionally they responded. Later that day, I came back from an outing to find a can of bug spray left on the counter, and shortly after, an exterminator arrived and sprayed the condo. That gave me some peace of mind, but the problem clearly wasn't fully resolved.I found myself unable to cook or leave any food out without roaches showing up almost immediately. Everything had to be sealed in ziplock bags, and I had to rewash dishes before using them, which was inconvenient and stressful. To make things worse, the next morning we were woken up by loud noises in the ceiling of the bedroom—heavy steps and scratching sounds, like something large was crawling around up there. Possibly a raccoon? It sounded big and made me very nervous, especially with my grandson in the condo.

For two of our four days, we had a water leak in the ceiling. We were moving and emptying a bucket and had the constant drip, drip, drip. Called four times. Water leak got worse. When we woke up the last day the whole hall floor was covered in water. My husband uses a cane and a slippery floor is the last thing he needs. Also much farther from the beach than it looked like in pictures! Drawer in kitchen would fall out when you opened it and it was the silverware drawer. Would never come back. Waiting on a partial refund but doubt we get it!

Disappointed

Although the unit has great potential, it seems either the owner or property manager chooses to ignore maintenance issues even in the peak season...not a good sign! Broken AC in the game room (for at least a month I was told); Almost every kitchen drawer broken; moldy shower curtains; shelves broken of the wall and laying there; paint falling off the ceiling; bunk bed later broken (kids had to dangerously climb outside of bed); blood stains on the pillows, coffee maker pot had a hole broken out of the glass, etc. Despite those things, we had good time. Thank you!

NOT a walkover

The unit was adorable, clean, spacious, and well maintained. The walk to the beach involves a drive and a very long boardwalk, with stairs. There is no elevator for handicapped accessibility to get to the unit. The proximity to the beach was grossly misrepresented.

Good place to stay

This is a good place to stay. Clean and comfortable. The pool is nice. A little far from the boardwalk. Looks like they are replacing the flooring. We we're very pleased.

Cozy & Family friendly

Our unit was clean and comfortable for our family of 5 (kids aged 5-10yrs old). It's a quiet community. Hot tub was much appreciated in the chilly Spring Break weather. Short walk to beach on private path for guests. We would gladly stay again. For the owner's consideration to bring up to management company: The kitchen drawers are the off hinges, paint peeling in shower, “heated” pool not working for a year now, according to groundskeeper. The stairwells and front door areas to the units need a power wash. Small cosmetics that make the difference. But fix the “heated” pool or remove that from the description. It was a selling point when we searched for places to stay.

Winter Texan Rental

The service from Silversands was awesome! Anytime we had to call they came. The condo on the other hand, was very run down and not very well taken care of. The complex itself really needs some tender loving care. They are having problems with raccoons, & you can hear them at night running around under the floors. The condo needs a good cleaning & new flooring in the living room/kitchen & bathrooms. We are not fussy people, but I wouldn't recommend staying here!

Great pet-friendly stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our dogs at this property. The place looks exactly like the photos in the listing and felt like the overall value matched with their pricing. In general our winter trip to Port Aransas didn’t disappoint. It’s a nice, quiet getaway.

Just okay

Going off the website photos we were very excited to stay at Seaside Delight. However, we were quite disappointed in the actual accommodations. The kitchen had a cupboard door falling off the hinges, multiple drawers that wouldn't shut or open correctly because of broken parts. The unit was not very clean, we actually had a very dirty q-tip laying on the sink vanity, as well as the living room area rug was extremely stained and filthy. There were used rags laying on the balcony, a large rug that was never laid down, just hanging over the balcony rails. Another thing that was disappointing was the bathtub jets didn't even work. The walkway to the beach is very rutted, you really need to walk with caution. Not to mention the environment as a whole is quite off putting, fences laden with trash and disguarded waste bins from the nearby hotel. The only reason I am giving this three stars is because we did have a place to sleep for a few days and the washing machine came in very handy.

Great weekend vacation spot

The condo was clean, perfect space and adequate for dog. It rained a lot and so it was difficult to get to the boardwalk but aside for that the hot tub worked, the pool was cool and it was great location.

Unfortunate Situation

Nice stay

Rating Details: The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although a bit dated the condo was very functional and we enjoyed our stay. there was a problem with the hot tube which was not in service the 5 nights that we were there. We asked for compensation for this and received 20% off an additional night stay. I felt it should have been more considering that one reason we rented this condo was to use the hot tub with our family and could not do it. the pool was heated after the first two nights and we used it, however not like a hot tub. Also, access to the beach is quite a hike, but we like to walk so it worked for us.

It was alright

The condo is nice but there are just many little things that need to be fixed. The walk to the beach isn't that long but if you are trying carry a cooler and booggie board in the middle of the heat of the day, it will feel like a 100 miles :-) Unfortunately, the electricity went out on our last evening so it ended up a bit hot inside.... there never was any communication about it. I liked the place but for what we were charged, I would have expected more.

Other guests were partying in the pool late Friday night and when we tried the after hours line it hung up on us.

Great!

The condo was great! No complaints at all. It was a decent walk to the beach, but we drove down the ally and that made it easy. The walk wouldn't have been bad either way. You might bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper, the pool activity ran late in the night but I'm not complaining- you can expect it with vacation condo rental community pools! The condo was great and the distance from town is about a 5 minute drive and this beach spot was far less crowded, especially on weekdays.

This property had good access to the beach and when tired of the ocean waves we enjoyed the pool and hot tub. All was well maintained and the condo was super cute! Smart TVs in the living room and master bedroom was a definite plus!

Enjoyed our stay

The description of the property is a bit misleading. Our view was of the pool. You also either have to walk quite a bit to get to the boardwalk or drive to it and park at the end of the drive. We still enjoyed staying here. The pool and hot tub felt great in the evenings.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived for our 4pm checkin time, our unit had not been cleaned from the last occupant. We had to wait over 1.5 hours until it was cleaned. Since we were on the property, we noticed that the bedding was not cleaned. New sheets were put on but all comforters were not cleaned or heated between occupants. That is a safety concern for us and we would not use them with everything going on. Our unit had very old carpet in the bedrooms that smelled of animal urine. We brought our dog and she was constantly sniffing all the other scents. It was gross. Who still has old carpet in a beach rental? We had a few questions as well as complaints and called the property management company SEVERAL times with no return calls and one male hung up on us. Lastly, the unit didnt have any measuring cups or sufficient kitchen supplies that should be there. Location of condo was good and pool was nice to have for kids but overall a subpar experience for a rental. The beach experience was the saving grace.

Good, but needs work

The condo was well appointed but overall cleanliness was poor. There is a 20 minute walk with heavy mosquito infestation before boardwalk to beach. Nice pool, hot tub and grounds. Two flat tires due to nails in parking lot. Refuse on beach due to high tides and poorly maintained trash receptacles.

Not delightful

Major construction at the location that was not disclosed. Could not locate bedding for fold out couch and never received response to inquiry. Pull out bed mattress RUSTY and smelled of mildew. Fridge/Freezer stopped working first night; water everywhere. Communicated to mgmt 3 times; maintenance came and did nothing-said someone else would come out. Unsure as to if anyone did as there was no communication from mgmt. Major storm 2nd night and it rained INSIDE the room off the living area; furniture soaked, blinds dripping with water. Communicated to mgmt, no response. Paint peeling, floors uneven, CARPET in bedrooms, no door on bathroom in "master suite". Balcony was nice and proximity/access to the beach was excellent.

As Good or Better than We Had Hoped

This property was fantastic: clean, well-appointed in all ways, and exactly as pictured. We will absolutely be back, if fate agrees. We were a bit concerned about its location to the beach. It was perfect; a nice little walk, or quick zip down a short road. Beach was very sparsly populated (which is what we wanted during social distancing), and gorgeous. The rental itself has a huge, private deck over-looking the pool. Plenty of cookware, towels and comfy beds. The only thing it could have used were some beach chairs. Thumbs up, all around.

Good location but would not rent this condo again

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a 30 day rental at this condo. We were originally booked into another unit but it became unavailable for some reason. The Silver Sands staff were very helpful in booking and we were able to check in remotely. The location was good and the site was very clean with friendly people and well behaved dogs. Our condo was a disappointment. The units are much smaller than they look and the overall appearance of this unit was garish and dated. It needs repainting, new flooring and some of the furnishings replaced. The bedding in particular needs replacing. We were intending to prepare food at the unit since we were there for 4 weeks but rarely did. It was equipped with cooking materials and dishes but they were of really low quality and some needed to be rewashed which was icky.We actually put everything we used through the dishwasher first. No wine glasses or serving dishes. The dining table is weird and there was no outside dining table. We would not have stayed at this unit but we were traveling with friends who had also rented a condo at this site. No other units were open. Our friends unit was very nice: tastefully decorated, very clean looking with nice kitchenware and a dining table on the deck. We spent most evenings at their place.
