My Happy Place | Walk to the Beach!

My Happy Place is a spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo located within a short walk to the Texas Gulf Coast Beaches. This beautifully furnished home was designed with your comfort in mind.

The fully stocked kitchen offers all appliances and has an island for additional entertainment space. The inviting dining area seats six. The spacious living area offers a queen-size sleeper sofa, UHD 4K Smart TV, Blue-ray player and plenty of space for relaxing after an exciting day at the beach. The large balcony fits a crowd and is perfect for dining alfresco.

When you and your guests are ready to turn in for the night, you’ll find two well-appointed and comfortable bedrooms. The primary king-size room is a relaxing place to rest your head after a fun-filled day. This bedroom has a flat-screen Smart TV and an en-suite bathroom with a deep soaking tub and shower. The guest bedroom offers a king-size bed with a flat-screen Smart TV. The second bathroom is located across the hall and features a walk-in shower.

My Happy Place is located at Mustang Island Beach Club and has a beautiful courtyard with a hot tub and shared community pool, which is heated during the cooler months. Come to Port Aransas and enjoy the beach and bay. Walk to the beach from the private boardwalk, catch fish from the Port Aransas jetty or keep your eyes peeled for rare birds.

One parking space is available with limited additional guest parking. Boats and trailers are allowed. The condo is on the second floor and is not ADA accessible.

This was a perfect unit to stay in. Both rooms had comfortable king size beds with big tvs. Living room remotes need new batteries but we figured out a way to still watch tv without the remotes. The unit had everything we needed. Fully functioning appliances, regular coffee maker & a keurig. The washer/dryer is updated from pics & worked great! Great water pressure in showers, low pressure in sinks but the showers mattered more. The chair in the living room is a comfy recliner. Couch pullouts are a normal uncomfortable for pullouts so bring a mattress pad for those. The floor did turn our socks/feet black so maybe it could be mopped better but otherwise unit was clean! The bonus was the nice big balcony that does have a small view of the ocean over the dunes, but sitting by the pond with a cup of coffee every a.m. was wonderful as well. There is a drive to the boardwalk that is quick, & in our opinion easier. Just park & walk across. Easy peasy. There were fans for use which we loved & just fyi, it's like apartment living, you hear everything. People walking, dogs barking etc. The pool area was nice, has a water feature we would love to see working next time we visit. Don't walk barefoot in the grass in the pool area, lots of stickers. Overall, a great place & not crowded. We can't wait to stay there again! Highly recommend.

Not as expected

Condo pictures need to be updated, it was not like on the pictures. Furniture is old, floor needs to be repaired. Pool very small not like on pictures! And long walk to the beach !

Girl's Weekend

Clean and bright, we had a wonderful time. The beds were comfy and plenty of pillows and blankets. Access to boardwalk is great, we were able to drive and park close enough without getting a beach permit. Will use again!

Nice but some disappointments

So our stay was good, but I can't say great. We did not realize that the boardwalk to the beach was so far. To have to drive to a boardwalk was NOT expected. The next items was the cleanness of the room. We had a 10 month old with us and he is a new walker/crawler. We had to move the couches to get some toys from under there and you could see all the dust and dirt that was under the couches. You could definitely tell it had NOT been moved or cleaned for a while. Now the 1st bedroom was a problem because it was extremally cold in that room. There was no way to control the vent flow and it was freezing the whole trip. EVEN when the temperature of the AC was at 75. Lastly, the ceiling fan in the 2nd bedroom was NOT operational. When I called and left a message, maintenance came the next day at 9am and my guest were still sleeping, so I asked him to come back later and he never did. NOT for the whole next 3 days we were there. Overall, we made it as best we could and we enjoyed being at the beach. I don't know that I can recommend your location and these maybe minor issues to you, but for us, this was our 1st vacation this year, so we were happy to be able to get away.

Happy Place

No beach access that was convenient. No ocean view only the highway. Dishwasher needs to be attached to cabinet. Clean. But silverware was sandy. Thanks overall would not stay there again. Had to drive to public access road for beach. Which actually turned out good.

Good place, Great Price

Good little condo for a quick get away, upon arrival the master bedroom fan was broken and the fix was to put a broken table fan out, other than that, it was a great time in a good location. We really enjoyed the stay!

Hello, Upon arrival at our condo our fridge was hot and would not cool, took for ever for maintenance to arrive and then tell us yes it's not working. Brought a cooler and two bags of ice. $200 worth of groceries we bought had Gone bad over night, condo is as dirty and not cleaned properly. Housekeeper left when we arrived and said she would be back with towels, never came back maintenance got us 4 towels and no wash clothes. Fans didn't work. When you pay good money you except stuff to work and be comfortable on your stay. I would also like to say the description of how close of a walk this condo to the beach is a lie. Still waiting on a refund of my groceries and being ghosted from this company. Do not waste your money…

My Happy place rental

The condo was large & very clean. We didn’t realize Beach front in Port Aransas is not actually on the sand of the beach bc of all the dunes. So no beach view either from balcony. In area all condos resorts will have a boardwalk to beach & it’s a long walk unless you drive to boardwalk park pier by car/golf cart bc from resort u can not drive straight in beach unless leave resort to drive down road about 10 mins to drive on beach.

Place was bigger than we expected, furniture needs updating, beds sagged in the middle, but overall, the condo had everything we needed. It was very quiet and relaxing. We definitely enjoyed our stay. Will definitely recommend t this place to our friends and family.

We truly enjoyed our stay! The complex was quiet and secluded. The kitchen was well stocked, everything worked from the coffee makers to the a/c, to the check in/out procedures! The only areas for improvement was that the mattress in the master is beginning to sag a little in the middle and some spots of the flooring could use some work. But neither issue was very significant and we'll consider this condo for our next visit.

We weren't very happy with our stay. The main reason I picked this unit was it advertised a heated pool. The pool was not heated, and it was too cold for swimming. The "Mustang Island Beach Club" sign was definitely misleading, as there were no restaurants, beach chairs/umbrellas, or other amenities that one would find in a beach club. The unit itself was as advertised and nice, but there were no sheets for the pull out couch when we checked in. Overall we would not stay here again.

Great vacation in December

The place was clean and well kept. The proximity to the highway bothered my wife due to noise. Beach was only a 6-7 minute walk. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

Great location for family beach getaway!

Our family loved this spot. The property was nice and everything we hoped it would be for our stay. We cooked our meals at the condo which was well stocked with cooking utensils. Coffee on the patio in the morning was relaxing. Although there isn’t a direct view to the beach (maybe in one spot on the corner of the deck you can see it over the dunes), it didn’t take away from our stay. The weekends are more packed on the beach but during the week it’s almost so quiet like you have your own spot to relax. Beach access roads are a mile or two up either direction which wasn’t a problem. If you want to walk to the beach, you can drive down the private access then park at the boardwalk to walk over the dunes. I was able to take an evening walk and produced some awesome photos the last night of our stay as the sun was setting. It was definitely a great place to stay and we will be back.

Horrible experience do not book with Silver Sands!

From the time we arrived at our condo, we encountered issues. We arrived at 4:45pm and the cleaning service was still there. We had to wait an hour for them to finish before we could get settled and unpack. That night I went to throw our clothes in the washer and realized I had dumped them into foul-smelling sewerage water that filled the washer and had clearly been there for some time. Went to go to sleep and my bedroom door would not shut or lock and the tv did not work. Woke up the next morning to a coffee pot that didn’t work and a balcony door that didn’t stay closed and so mosquitoes were constantly getting in. When I called Silver Sands the first time they were somewhat helpful and sent us a new coffee pot and maintenance to fix the washer. He could not fix it or get rid of the standing water that smelled horrible. The next day I called again to see if someone was coming back to address the issues and spent 2 1/2 hours on hold before I spoke to someone. At this point I asked if we could move properties and was told nothing was available. For the next 3 days we were told someone was coming to fix the washer and no one ever showed. I spent 4 hours at the very unsafe laundry mat doing laundry on 2 different occasions. I have asked for a refund for at least 1 of our nights since we spent a good portion of our vacation waiting to speak to the property management, waiting for repairman that never showed, and had to travel and pay to do our laundry. Note: the two reasons I chose this location was because it had a washer and dryer and said it had a working TV in the bedrooms (I can’t sleep without the TVs on so ended up sleeping on an uncomfortable sofa). Still have not heard back regarding a refund. Our family has vacationed at this complex (different condo) but after the lack of care in maintaining the property or managing guest’s expectations, we will NEVER stay here again

Excellent private location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. clean condo

The place was very clean and nice. We thought we would have beach view but we overlooked a pond. Balcony was nice and we were entertained by a wedding DJ all night from the balcony. Had to call the emergency # to check in. Since we left early from home we did not get the codes to check in but thankfully the emergency maitn. man was able to access the code for us since the office was closed. We should have been notified by email earlier when I signed contract, not the day we left, but all in all we loved the condo and pet friendly atmosphere.

Great beach getaway!

We had a wonderful time at My Happy Place. It was very clean, well stocked, and out of the crowded area of Port Aransas. Just what we were looking for, total relaxation! We will make this an annual trip for sure!

Very relaxing
