Great place to stay in Maggie Valley. Close to plenty of restaurants, convenient to Bryson City and the GSM Railway and Cherokee. Multiple flyfishing opportunities nearby. House was in a nice, quiet, and safe neighborhood with great views. We liked that it was pet friendly, yet super clean. Don't hesitate to book here.

Sounds like Smoky Bear Cabin made a great home base for exploring the area! I love that you were able to enjoy everything from Bryson City and Cherokee to some fly fishing while still coming back to a quiet spot in Maggie Valley. I’m especially glad you mentioned how clean the cabin was despite being pet friendly—that’s a standard I work hard to maintain, and my housekeeper does a fantastic job. My wife and I have stayed in this cabin twice in the past, the last time was ten years ago. The owner has changed since then but the comfortable, homey feeling remains. The new owner communicates extremely well. We found a couple of things that other people had left and Brandon was very responsive regarding what to do with the items. The cabin is located in a beautiful area with excellent views and easy access to restaurants and shops. The gas fireplace was very comforting since it was cold every night during our stay. Neighborhood offers easy walkability or just sitting on the porch and admiring the view is peaceful.

The cabin was just as advertised and fantastic! The location was very nice and convenient. Our host was extremely responsive and helpful. We could not have asked for a better experience!

Great home away from home! Perfect setting. Enjoyed taking walks, sitting on the porch and roaming the Maggie Valley area. First time going to Waterrock, quite the view!

Lounge chair by fireplace is broken. The deck needs cleaning and in need of repair. Interior was just right for us. We enjoyed the stay.

Smoky Bear Cabin is amazing. It's so comfortable and has beautiful views in every direction. Brandon, the owner, was so welcoming and included of the information and instructions needed for a seamless stay. The area is incredible and so relaxing we spent one day just sitting on the porch listening to the birds and looking at the mountains. Perfect for a long weekend or even a week or two stay.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and had a wonderful weekend. We really loved the place—it was peaceful, relaxing, and exactly what we were hoping for. Seeing the elk was such a special experience and made the trip even more memorable.Check-in was easy and smooth, and communication with the property manager was excellent from start to finish. Everything was well organized, and we felt very taken care of during our stay.We couldn't have asked for a better anniversary getaway and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay.

We enjoyed our stay! Very comfortable cabin. We got to see the Elk which made our trip all the more exciting. Would highly recommend this cabin and the location was perfect.

Great layout and location. We went for a quick ski weekend and as always eat at Joey's Pancake House. This rental was right around the corner from Joey's, so it was close to everything. The cabin is beautiful with easy parking in driveway. Brandon was quick to respond with any questions. We will be back.

Perfect mountain getaway! The location is fantastic being so accessible to Maggie Valley sites and skiing. Adorable community! The property is so clean and well-maintained with all the little things you need such as trash bags, dish soap, shampoo, etc. We can’t wait to come back!

This property was perfect for our family of three plus 2 pets! It was comfortable, attractive, peaceful, AND decorated for Christmas!!!It was an easy ride to Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. We definitely will have fond memories of "our Christmas vacation" in Maggie Valley!!
