Absolutely loved this place. We usually stay at one of the resorts but this place was much better. It was nicely decorated, lots of space and pretty much everything we needed included. The location was perfect, It was just minutes from the piers, jetties and beach. It was also very reasonably priced compared to what we’ve paid at the nearby hotels and resorts. It also includes a heated pool and a fishing pond. We’ll definitely be back.

We had the best time at toes in the water!! The unit was very clean and spacious and the location was key as it was super close to the beach, would definitely recommend and come back again!!

Accurate discription. 1st floor. Quiet. Only con was itbwas cold. I couldnt change the thermostat, either it was locked or broken I assume since when pressed nothing showed up.

Good for pets

Good for pets. Condo is pretty spacious for a 2 bedroom. We drove our car to the beach bc you can park right on the surf which was nice. The walk is a little long and not shaded; tough and hot for little kids and little pets.

Toes in the Water review

The property was easy to locate. It was more run down than I expected (hallways for entry, living room). There was a sand bucket under the sink in the 2nd bathroom to catch water leaking from pipes. Didn’t notice until it ran over and into the floor. Poorly stocked kitchen and laundry room. The beds were comfortable. There was pet hair throughout. The air conditioner worked great. Short drive to the beach. Signs were posted for construction but never saw anyone working on anything and that wasn’t disclosed on the web site. Probably would not stay here again.

Overall Nice Stay with Some Problems

Overall we had a really nice stay. Although not a ocean view, the location is just down the road to a really nice beach, and you're on the island which is very convenient. The condominium complex is really nice, but you gotta watch out for the stickers which have a way of getting everywhere! We can't blame anyone but Mother Nature for that. The condo was pretty clean, the AC was great and the kitchen provided adequate supplies. Some of the problems we saw were that some of the walls and shelves could use a good cleaning, the couch looked a bit worn and the there was a huge ugly stain on the ottoman cushion. The biggest problem we had that was that the entry code didn't work, the condo was actually unlocked when we arrived. Later that evening, we discovered we could not lock the condo to go to dinner so we had to change plans. The maintenance person arrived couple of hours later and was able to give us a key. He became upset because he had been told we were locked out of the unit and he had to come from "across town", which I never said that. Apparently he was responsible for multiple units across town. The lock was never fixed and we actually had to leave the unit unlocked with the key on the counter when we checked out. Because of this, I didn't like having to work with a company, instead of an actual owner. They were only open from M-F 8-5, so you could only talk to a dispatcher who had to relay the message to someone. Also we were only given 2 trash bags for a 4 night stay

Beautiful condo and great location. A short walk or even shorter drive to the beach. Nice area. It was a great long weekend aad a great time!! Wasn't a huge fan of the king size bed as it was pretty worn. Only issue we had other than the uncomfortable bed was some fishing stuff was stole out of our truck.... But that was my husband's fault for not bringing everything in. Rental place has a few hoops to jump through but nothing crazy and it wasn't an issue. We would go back for sure!

Great Location and Beach Vibes Decor

We selected this location based on how close it was to Whitecap Beach. We could have walked, but chose to drive to the beach with all the stuff we wanted to take. There is also public parking right down the street with access to the beach which also worked well. The condo was very well decorated and perfect for our family of 4. The separated bedrooms and living space allowed us to relax and enjoy our vacation. There were areas in both bathrooms that need to be repaired and/or cleaned. I know it is the beach and humidity can impact this, but the showers were not well cleaned. As stated in other reviews, this is a FIRST floor condo. This was great so we didn't have to carry all our things up all the stairs, but the people above us were super loud and the noise from their walking around was noticeable. Also, in the main bedroom, there are no curtains, only blinds, so the condo lights from outside shine in ALL night making it feel like daytime. If this bothers you, bring a sleepmask. I wish they just hung blackout curtains! Overall, we liked our location and condo.

Nice Weekend Stay!

Rented the unit for a weekend getaway. The condo was as described. It was very clean and nicely furnished. It was only a block from the ocean and there was a stone paved path to the beach. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this condo.

Close to the beach! Dog friendly.

Clean, dog friendly condo. Just a short walk or drive to the beach. Very roomy place with space to spread out. Nice cold refrigerated air. Close to restaurants. The only downside I would say, was the building number said 1 (condo number was nonexistent in that bldg) when it was actually in building 5. Took us about half hour to find the right condo. Other than that we enjoyed our stay so much, we stayed an extra day!

Great location but had a few issues

This was our second time staying at the Beach Club Condominiums. However, last time we stayed in a unit that was owned and managed directly by a person and not a rental company. We love the close location to the beach and the pool and gym amenities. However, communication with the Silver Sands vacation rental company was very poor. On the first day, we couldn’t get the living room TV working. I called and spoke to someone and was told I’d receive a call back with instructions. That never happened. The second day, the washer started leaking, and there was water all over the floor, so much that the towels provided were all completely soaked. I was initially told that someone would be there within an hour to fix it. Then it was that someone would be there the next morning. Eventually, no one would be able to come fix it until after our stay. They did bring us another set of bath towels. We specifically rent units with washers and dryers and pack knowing that we will be able to wash clothes and beach towels, so we had to go buy more since we couldn’t this time. I was also told that I would possibly be partially refunded since the washer wasn’t working and we had issues with a leak. I have called several times and still have not received a response. I would definitely return and recommend this location, but I would find a different unit not managed by this particular vacation company. We still had a great trip and love this area. I highly recommend renting a golf cart to drive around the area and get to/from the beach.

Toes in the water

Great location. Great proximity to beach, grocery and restaurants. Would rent again. Only suggestion is to put the building number in the check in information. Would save a lot of time rather than driving around looking for the number.

Clean, comfortable, spacious condo 1 block from the beach

This unit was perfect for our family vacation. We even brought our dog! The condo was SPOTLESS, you'd never guess they allow dogs or that it's close to a beach. The furniture was big and comfortable, the beds are squishy-but-supportive. I loved that the two bedrooms are separated by the bathrooms, which gives a sense of privacy. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. You'll need to bring your own spices and oil. There's a full size washer and dryer in unit. There's an HEB on the main land, just 10 minutes away. The island has many nearby restaurants. There's a decent sized pool and hot tub. The only things I didn't like had nothing to do with the actual unit. The light from the parking lots was SO bright- like daylight. Bring an eye mask. The mosquitos were really, really terrible. Bring your DEET bug spray. The people in the unit above were racing elephants the whole time. I could hear their conversation, too. Thin walls, I guess. But the unit itself is amazing, and just a one minute drive to Whitecap beach, where you can park and enjoy the waves. I will absolutely be staying here again and would recommend it for other families. Oh, and the AC was ice cold!

Nice getaway

The whole booking process was very smooth and efficient. Able to check in directly with a door code which was very convenient. The unit was clean and accurately described. It was comfortable as well. Ample parking right outside of the unit. The pool and hot tub area were close by. The jets in the hot tub were not working but otherwise it was a nice area. Seemed to be a very convenient location to get to the mainland as well as Port Aransas, the beach and restaurants.
