Extremely large rooms, good views, and great value

The rooms were better than described in the listing. We booked a two bedroom with a shared kitchenette area, and we have plenty of room for 5 adults. The fold-out couches were real memory foam mattresses and were very comfortable. We had a great view of the ocean, and we the property was clean and full of amenities. We never had an issue finding a chair at the beach or poolside. Highly recommend!

Memorable Vacation

Excellent place. No disappointments. Units are spacious and well appointed. The resort was clean and attractive outdoors Choice location in the beautiful Kaanapali beach. Minor request is that the staff could be more amenable for late checkout. Who wants to wake up early during a vacation stay? Management seems to be insensitive to customer needs

Marriott Maui Ocean Club Stay

Stayed here with a family of five and found everything to be as advertised. The unit is conveniently located on the main floor with quick and easy access to the lobby reception, communal kitchen, hotel convenience store (very helpful with lots of things you might not want to go into town to purchase) with view in the balcony overlooking the pool area. Great location, although the beach front a minute's walk north might be better for swimming (less coral) for kids. Five minute walk to Whaler's Village. Safeway grocery store within 5 minute drive. Staff was friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Another amazing time at the Marriott

This is our 3rd time at the Marriott, and it keeps getting better. we opted for the larger 2 bedroom with living room w/ Ocean view. the view was stunning, full sunset view from each of the 3 balconies. Updated, remodeled rooms, and the property is kept so pristine.

Great beachfront condo

We had a two bedroom ocean front. The beach was large and right outside our first floor room. The beach had some coral, but uncrowned. A more sandy part of the beach was just a short walk away along with restaurants and shopping. The pool was great and room was clean and comfortable. Check in was easy and staff was very friendly. We would definitely return.

I made reservations for our trip to Maui at the last minute so did not expect that such a beautiful spacious room in an accommodating comfortable resort would be available. It far exceeded my expectations: location is perfect, service and cleanliness top notch, wonderful workout facilities and pools and other activities available. I highly recommend staying here and would stay here again in a heartbeat. VacationCandy staff were very responsive and I would definitely rent through them again.

Beautiful Property

We had a nice relaxing vacation at Marriott's Maui Ocean Club. I guess we didn't read the description closely enough. We expected a full kitchen. We even bought ingredients to make cookies. So we were disappointed to not have a stove or oven. We have stayed other Marriott vacation clubs and also expected to have a washer and dryer. On this property, they do have a communal place to cook on stoves and they also had a public place where we did laundry. Our room was clean. We had good customer service from Vacation Candy and at the resort. We enjoyed the nearby pool, beach, walking path and restaurants (Leilani's and Hula Grill). However, there was a leak from the patio into our room when it rained which got the carpet wet. The resort tried to remedy the problem with something to block the rain from coming in, but we still had wet carpet. Thank you! Overall we had a nice trip.

Perfect Hawaii family vacation

Have to say that the whole family had a great vacation in Hawaii at the Marriott Maui Ocean Club. We decided to pay a little extra for the Ocean front rooms and every evening we had a great sunset. These rooms are directly above the restaurant but being on the 6th floor it didn't have any effect. During the day, if you like lounging right by the beach, you may want to book ahead for the shaded beach cabanas as they tend to get booked in advance. Also, the last day we used the hospitality rooms to get showers before heading to our red eye flight home. These are very nice but only 2 showers per both rooms (4 total). Make sure you get there early enough to avoid the wait or plan ahead as lot's of people have the same plan. The facilities were awesome and likely the nicest pools in the area. The two rooms we booked were perfect for our family of 5. One room had a separate bedroom / living room and the kitchen worked well for doing our own fresh fruit breakfasts and sometimes we did lunch there as well. For the kitchen in the two room suite, it is well equipped. If you only book the one room, the kitchen is more or less a fridge and microwave. Very close the the local Safeway for groceries. My oldest son worked out onsite every morning and the facilities were well equipped and large. Plenty of things to do for the kids and everything was very well organized. Use the bell staff to help take up groceries, bags, etc. because you're on vacation!! The Marriott staff were very attentive and we had a great family vacation in Maui!

Review

It is a beautiful resort right on the beach with lots of fun things to do. We had enough room for all of our guests. I didn't understand why these units don't have a oven/stove. There was only 1 community kitchen that had a oven/stove just seems odd to me. Otherwise wonderful in every way.

Awesome Vacation!

This was a fantastic, family friendly resort. All that we needed was on site and restaurants and shopping well within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our vacation in every way. (Even the 5:00 a.m. wake ups from our toddler as the Starbucks on site opened early. :-)) Hope to be back soon!

Great View, Centrally Located

We loved our stay, which was for our daughter's first Christmas. We were promised an ocean view, and not only did we get that we also got to be high up in the tower as requested! We saw whales from our lanai. It was quiet, right on the beach, and also close to the paved walking area to the Whalers Village. Lot's of pool options. Being that it was part of the busy season, we did have to do a little work to get a spot near the pool, but most days we were off to the beach so that never mattered! It has free on sight self-laundry, and the room was equipped with a fridge, sink, and dishwasher.

Our stay reserved through Vacation Candy was fantastic. Without being able to see photographs of the place we were renting upon reservation, we did not know what to expect. The location, decor and amenities of our specific suite were perfect. The resort itself has the best pool complex on Kaanapali Beach (aside from the Hyatt which is overly exclusive).

Super fun beach vacation.

We had so much fun staying at the Marriott. We had two teenage boys with us and the seperate rooms was fantastic for privacy. The pools are amazing, and the beach is even better. Our favorite attendant would set up our chairs on the beach every day. He would also point out great snorkeling points. We also loved having Starbucks right there for a quick bite for lunch or an afternoon pick me up.

Best choice!

We loved the location of the resort which was right on the beach and in walking distance to the outdoor mall. The pool was the best one on the island!!! It was also a short drive to the main strip in Lahaina. The rooms could use some updating (2013) but they were large, clean and we had beautiful views. It was a nice touch that vacation candy left a welcome package for us. Would we return? In a heartbeat!!! We fell in love with Maui.

Kaanapali beach Maui

There is no better beach than the Kaanapali beach in Maui and the Marriott Ocean Beach Club is right in the heart of it. We loved our Christmas vacation!
