Quiet and peaceful getaway. A great place to unwind and decompress (which is exactly what we wanted). Lori and her dog were wonderful.

Great little get away! My only comment would be that the shower isn't available in winter, so plan accordingly.

Thank Kodi for your review. My goal this year is to build a bathhouse right below this little cabin with a clawfoot bathtub and shower. There will also be a laundry room. Can't wait to get this going! Thanks for being here :))

Beatiful sanctuary.

Such in incredible sanctuary in a beautiful landscape. The host was incredible kind, and the cabin was absolutley adorable.

Overnight stay

We just needed a place to stay for the night and it was perfect. Tucked into the hills, very private and absolutely beautiful!

I was hoping you still liked it, because you didn't stay in the Birds Nest Cabin, the one that you reserved. You might have noticed that the welcome sign said Kimberly and not Heidi? The one you stayed in was not the one that you booked. You stayed in the LaLuna, thankfully I had cleaned for another guest that was arriving right after you.

Mom retreat

A much needed retreat by myself, will definitely be coming back. I loved the quiet and peace offered at property. Also, host was very in top of needs and the outside shower was perfect.

I booked a week stay at the birds nest. I ended up only staying 2 nights of my reservation as the WiFi wasn’t robust enough for my work, the shower didn’t work, and the AC didn’t work. The host was ok with the stay cancelation and even filled the rest of my stay with other guests through another platform. The host asked me to leave an hour early the morning of my departure as well. I have texts with the host that prove I was not there my whole stay and also that the shower didn’t work and I also purchased the trip protection insurance. Very disappointed with the host not refunding the nights I wasn’t there. The unit smells bad and is not clean- but it is a cabin. I do NOT recommend staying here.

Quaint cabin in the tranquility of the outdoors

I needed a place to stay for the night and, given that I have 2 dogs, i wanted a more remote location. The pros - beatiful cabin - spacious kitchen - secluded - clean The cons - outhouse/outside shower - no private space for dogs to run around Just a word of caution, its a little difficult to find, so dont be an idiot like me and show up at midnight, but id you do, bring a flashlight. Thankfully, the owner was super nice, and he texted me right away with clear directions and left the cabin front light on for me (mich appreciated sir/mamme)

Yes, this cabin is for guests that want to get away from it all. There is no dog park here. There are great walks to go on with your dog down to the lake or up on the mountain. It's all in the description about the hot outdoor shower and composting toilet. The hot outdoor shower is usually the highlight for guests that haven't experienced one before. I really appreciate guests that don't show up so late, as normally I would have had my phone turned off at that hour. It also disrupts my other guests in my other 3 cabins.
