Brand new, open concept, modern chalet located in Jim Thorpe, Poconos, PA. Quiet, tranquil and situated on 3 acres, deep in the woods. 5 large bedrooms with 2 Queens, 2 kings and a bunk room on the lower level. All bedrooms have Roku TV’s. The lower level has a game room, various wooden games, and 3-in-1 game table with ping pong, pool, and air hockey. We also have additional sleeping space in the basement with 2 double bunk beds, and 2 single trundel beds. Whether you are looking for a place to relax after hiking, hitting the slopes, whitewater rafting, shopping for rare finds in the quaint town of Jim Thorpe, or just looking for a relaxing time to unwind and sit around the fire, Mountain Laurel Lodge has just what you are looking for!

This beautiful gem was just as described! Minutes away from Jim Thorpe and gorgeous lakes, the immaculate and modern home was perfect for our college girls reunion. The deck was perfect for relaxing and basement would be ideal for kids to play games and relax. We cooked one night on the gas grill and relaxed in the great room listening to music. We will definitely stay here again! You will not be disappointed!

Best house we ever rented

Our family has been doing weekend trips for decades, traveling all over the place. This was hands down the best house we ever rented: truly, the nicest, cleanest, most beautiful home we have stayed to date. The owner thought of every detail from nightlights to outside lights to everything you could need inside the house. The beds were comfortable; the pillows, sheets and towels were all very high quality. The appliances were all new and worked well. The owner was great to work with throughout the process. Very responsive and friendly. We will definitely be returning!

New and Comfortable Home

First and foremost, the owner, Joe is the nicest and easiest person to work with. We didn't have any issues with the home or our stay. We enjoyed the fire pit and loved seeing all the deer. The home is comfortable inside and has nice large open living spaces. It was also very clean. The only thing that we didn't love is that the home is 1.3 miles down a dirt road. Now, this can be an advantage for many and lends itself to a nice quiet location with wind in the trees, birds chirping and deer in the front yard but for us coming and going from downtown Jim Thorpe it was a bit more remote than I had realized. Again, that is just a preference and not a negative on the house. We had 8 people in our group and we were all extremely comfortable in the house.

weekend getaway with friends

We had a great time. The house is amazing and comfortable. All instructions on operating the house were clear. Our stay was peaceful and wonderful. Watch the deer while driving up and down the street. No bear sightings unfortunately. The host was a pleasure to deal with.

Family GetAway

Mountain Laurel Lodge was the perfect location to stay while visiting with our family. The newer home is beautiful inside & out and built with meticulous detail. It was equipped with everything you could need from making meals, to entertainment, to just relaxing. Location was just minutes from downtown Jim Thorpe. During our stay it was exciting to experience the wildlife…..a black bear walking around & several whitetail deer. The communication with the owner, Joe, was excellent. Although we didn’t get the opportunity to use the fire pit area during our stay, we were able to enjoy the cozy fireplace. We will definitely be back in the future.

Beautiful! Owners thought of every detail

This house is brand new and stocked with everything you might need for a great weekend stay in the Poconos. Very comfortable, modern and inviting home with a great fire pit area and all the amenities. Highly recommend.

Family Christmas 2022

My family and I were looking for a place to get away to for the holidays. Since the past couple of years had been stressful with all of us getting together. We had a budget in mind and this house feel within our budget and I’m so happy we were able to stay; it was just as described on the VRBO site. Even with the horrible weather that we traveled in to get there. We had a fantastic time. My only complaints were that we could not get the ice machine on the refrigerator to work correctly. 🤦🏾‍♀️. And could not figure out how to get regular tv channels like cbs, abc etc. on the Roku; and because of the weather we could not use the fire pit to do our s’mores with the children😩. But those are minor issues in the grand scheme of how warm and welcoming the house was. Every morning we saw a family of deer. And although they said that bears are hibernating during this time the different paw prints that we saw in the snow after the storm makes me wonder.😁Joe was very quick to respond when messages were sent out to him. I truly appreciate that. Would love to stay there again in the future.
