I have tried to simplify below the information for Park access in 2024 but I cannot include phone numbers/website due to vrbo policies.

In 2024, a vehicle reservation is required for three areas of the park from 6am-3pm:

2. North Fork (May 24 - Sept 8) (10 minutes away)
3. Many Glacier (July 1 - Sept 8)( approx 3 hours away)
Each location has unique details and requires a separate reservation.

Like in past years, visitors will need to set up an account on the National Park reservation web site to obtain vehicle reservations. Although the park does not charge for the vehicle reservations there is a $2 nonrefundable service fee.
Visitors may also make a reservation through the call center. Contacting the call center does not provide an advantage towards securing a reservation but provides an alternative for those who don’t have access to the internet or are not as familiar with technology. Sobre o anfitrião

Anfitrião: Lorna Rittenburg

Imagem do perfil do anfitrião
Jim and I came here in 2017 after raising our kids for over 30 years in Pennsylvania. We met at Grad school in Maine, Jim worked in biotechnology and I ran rental properties and was an event manager for a Horse Park in Bucks County. We were big travelers, and love fishing and hiking so we always seeked out remote spots and adventure in many parts of the world. After our kids left home we decided to go and live in the type of area we always seeked out which brought us to Polebridge and Montana

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

We love living in this remote area surrounded by wildlife and natural beauty. away from noise and light pollution. We enjoy working on the 200 acres of forest to improve forest health, and habitat diversity for birds and mammals. it is like being on safari every day. The community is so helpful and happy and the visitors love to come here. Being next to Glacier National Park and the North Fork of the Flathead is a dream for fishing, floating swimming, hiking and gazing at the dark skies.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The property is so well situated up on the bench above Polebridge and yet remote and quiet. It is fun to hike or bike from the property or hop n the car or ebike to access the North Fork entrance of the Park only about 2,5 miles away. We can hike or ebike from the property to access the National Forest (2 million acres) to explore little used trails, ponds and forest look out towers. It is a beautiful 35 minute drive to Apgar and the start of the Going to the Sun Road. The property is about 36 miles from Columbia Falls, a spectacular drive along the edge of the Flathead river (about 50 % dirt road). this is the last stop for groceries, fuel and cell service. Conveniently only an hour from Glacier International airport. Whitefish the ski mountain town is one hour away great for shopping, the theatre and dining. We have it all!
