Check in fees included a 300 charge for two nights, that still has not been returned. Then there was 120 surcharge I was not told about. Check out expenses included a 98 tax. Then another 50 for I don’t know what, but when my nephew questioned it, they removed it. Two days later they pulled another 50 from his debit card. A few days after that they took another 50, which caused an overdraft.When he called the hotel, they said the room smelled of smoke. Which is impossible since neither one of them smoke. When he told the manager that was not true, he was hung up on. I am appalled at this behavior and have contacted the BBB. No one should have to experience such treatment. I thought I was gifting a restful romantic weekend to my nephew and his wife. I sent him 500 for any extra fees. I did not want them to pay a thing. They needed the rest since they had been dealing with a mother and their daughter recovering from cancer. So, this was especially important for me to know that they would be taken care of. Instead, they were mistreated by the manager and hit with fees well after their stay.
