A perfect hideaway

This Box Hop is the perfect getaway. We stayed in October when the leaves were turning and everything was beautiful. The on site hiking trails are fun. It is so close to a lot of local attractions, but honestly we could’ve just stayed at the Hop the entire week. The bedrooms are like sleeping under the stars, the galley kitchen and living room are so cozy. The patio and the fire pit area are great. Highly recommend staying at The Roca for your Hocking Hills adventure.

Weekend getaway

Overall, it was a nice space to stay for our weekend glamping trip. A few things to point out that we’re not so great: walking in there was a musty smell, walking up to the home there was a lot of webs near the front door, perhaps a quick clean would’ve made a better impression, the couch had a big dip and the throw blankets I don’t think were washed. The bedrooms were great and comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Good experience for being our first time, but might consider one of the newer or bigger options.

Great Place!

We really enjoyed the stay and appreciated the Christmas decoration. It is a great destination with nearby hiking trails. The home is very comfortable!

Great Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at The Roca and loved the property! It’s unique, quiet, and we loved the waterfall/rock landscape just behind the place! Only downsides were a hiccup with the shower handle but that was addressed the next morning so it did not impact the majority of our stay. The shower drain, however, did not work well (or was clogged) and water filled up quickly which was a little bit inconvenient since we stayed 4 days. Additionally, whoever handles the cleaning either was in a hurry or could benefit with some improvement as the coffee pot was not cleaned and had remnants of coffee inside and the fridge did not appear to have been wiped down in between the previous guests and us. Not a dealbreaker but makes you question how well other areas were cleaned. Apart from those 2 concerns, everything else was perfect! We would definitely stay with you again!

This place was unlike any other I have stayed at. HOW COOL! The build and attention to certain detail was amazing. Very sweet experience. Would definitely like to try another like this again.

My husband, pup and I stayed at the Roca for my sister in laws wedding. We loved the unique decor and feel of the home, it had everything we needed and was the perfect place to rest after a busy wedding weekend!

Perfect getaway for couples or small families exploring the Hocking Hills area or just looking for a secluded getaway. The property is lovingly maintained and feels like you have been transported into a fairy tale. The many, excellent hiking trails and natural areas are within half and hour drive. If you don't want to travel while on vacation but still want hiking the property has waterfall and cave features that are honestly similar but smaller versions of their more famous cousins. The hot tub is perfect for soothing sore muscles and unwinding after a long day of hiking. Cozy, cute, well-appointed, and responsive and professional ownership. You and your family will not be disappointed in this property.

A Fairytale Escape

The Coolest Box!

This was by far the best rental I have ever had! Unique box hops with views like you have never experienced. Comfortable and very clean. It was the perfect place to celebrate our daughter's wedding at The Seventy-Five Venue. A must stay!!

Must-see!!

This place was beautiful!! The decor was lovely and the outdoor surroundings were breathtaking!! The only downsides were that the wood for the firepit was wet and the bunkbed was really unstable.

Beautiful Place, But Dirty

Stayed at the Roca a few weekends ago. Awesome place but dirty! A clump of someone’s hair in the shower wall, dirty shower basin, and someone’s dirty ear plug under my bed! Gross!!

The Roca was AMAZING and far beyond our expectations based on the photos prior to staying there. We were blown away by the Roca itself, but also the views around it. We will 100% be back!!
