Not ideal for us
There is only so much you can do to dress up a 50 year old apartment. The owner did a great job trying to make the apartment as nice as possible, but it is simply not a 5-star property. If you are looking for a spot to crash for a Braves game, this would probably be great. If you are looking for a family-friendly Atlanta vacation home away from home, this is not the ideal place to stay.
Pros: the property is very close to Truist Field/Battery and the beds were very comfortable.
Cons: the gates leading into the apartment complex were both broken and open to the public. The 1000 sq/ft apartment had 7 air fresheners and 5 ultrasonic pest repellers plugged into most of the outlets in the space. The smell was over-powering and there was a constant click sound emitting from the pest devices (although to be fair, we didn’t see any pests). There was considerable wear around the walls, floorboards, and ceiling. The curtain rod over the sliding glass door was hanging on by one screw fastened directly into the drywall with multiple scars showing failed attempts to secure the rod previously. Some of the furniture was stained/soiled and there were still crumbs and dirt on the floor from a previous renter. Attempting to walk to Truist Field/Battery we found the pedestrian gate was propped wide-open with a brick and the sidewalk to cross over to the stadium was under construction and impassable.
