A-Frame Mountain Retreat

Seeking solace? This A-Frame home is a little slice of serenity. Come stay in a quiet and peaceful mountain community of West Virginia. The house has been fully renovated from top to bottom. It is cozy, chic and is fully equipped with the essentials you need to enjoy your time away. Enjoy the outdoor space, brand new hot tub, unwind on the deck or relax in nature on the patio with a fire pit. It's only six miles from the closest store, restaurants, shops and interstate 81, but it truly feels like you are a lifetime away from the "noise" of everyday life.

During the winter months, in cases of impending, inclement weather, four-wheel drive is highly recommended. The roads and driveway leading up to the home can get dicey. We do have snow plow and shoveling service at the home, but cannot guarantee a specific time the driveway and property will be plowed and shoveled. Please note, for safety purposes, there are two security cameras at the home; one facing the front yard and one facing the back yard, which includes the hot tub.

This is a great place to stay. The property and house was perfect. Excellent sleeping bed and kitchen area. The outside had a great fire pit, and the hot tube was a very nice amenity. It was very quiet, which is a huge bonus. I would highly recommend this property for anyone.

Overall the place was very nice. Convenient to the things we wanted to do. Quiet and peaceful setting. Our only complaints were that the washer makes a lot of noise and the driveway is very rutted. It requires a high clearance vehicle to navigate.

Great getaway

Very cute clean cabin. Great outdoor space with a hot tub! My boyfriend and I spent a week there and loved it. Secluded enough yet close enough to a store, dollar general which is a mini market with food!

A really nice setting in the woods. I had hoped to do some stargazing by the fire but it rained. It was hard to relax and enjoy the inside space since the living room furniture was rather small and sparse. Beds were very comfy. I was a bit disappointed that we were required to strip beds and do laundry and dishes. We found the clean towels provided in the dryer. 95 cleaning fee???

I was very impressed by the cleanliness of this cabin. It really felt like home for the couple of days we stayed, and I didn't have to once worry about my kids and germs... It was not as secluded as I had hoped, but we were otherwise very impressed.

The house was cute and comfortable. Everything was there that i needed, linens, towels, and kitchen supplies. The only thing I didn't like were the lights shining from the outside through the sliding glass bedroom door. I enjoyed the hot tub, maybe a sturdy canopy would help with rain and snow. Amazing Weekend Getaway

The A Frame Mountain Retreat was an excellent choice for our girls trip! The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and true to the photos. We enjoyed the hot tub and cute firepit area immensely There were some ants, which is to be expected in the middle of the woods, but keeping all of our food in sealed containers or the fridge helped. Kim, the host, was informative and prompt to respond. I felt well prepared prior to arrival. The location was nice. You really feel like youā€™re secluded in the woods. We were able to get to some cool spots easily. Iā€™d recommend Berkeley Springs and Harpers Ferry, if you donā€™t mind an about 45min drive. Overall, I would definitely recommend and hope to be back someday. Thanks, Kim!

Memorial Weekend Getaway

We found this quaint cabin in the hills of WV for a few days away for the holiday weekend. We enjoyed our stay and spent a lot of time around the fire pit just relaxing. Much needed relaxation for sure! If my allergies hadn't been so bad it would have been absolutely perfect. The cabin was smaller than we expected, especially the kitchen. We cook a lot when we go to cabins so that was a little disappointing but we made it work. Overall a great experience!

Girls Weekend

Our group enjoyed staying at this property. It looks like the owners updated everything inside. The kitchen is clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom is spotless and very "zen." The living room is cozy with enough seating for the four of us. And the dining area was perfect, overlooking the quiet and pretty property. There is patio seating on the deck and a cozy area for seating outside the master bedroom sliding door. The path to the firepit was welcoming, with plenty of firewood for burning. The property is in a very quiet neighborhood and the many trees gave our group plenty of privacy. This was perfect for our girls weekend and will book again. Kim is great host, is very attentive, and answered all questions.
