Adorable Downtown Baton Rouge cottage, located on Government St., in front of the River Center! You can literally walk to everything downtown. This home boasts of high ceilings and original hardwood floors, with a spacious living room, dining room, and 3 private guest quarters. The large front porch, with a swing, is perfect for enjoying the Louisiana breeze.

Relax and explore what the city has to offer, as you’re within walking distance from everything downtown.

With this home, you are centrally located near popular areas within the city. LSU Tiger Stadium is 2.5 miles away, with game day Stadium Shuttle access only a few steps from your doorstep.

Great place to stay

This place was great!! We were in town for a bowling tournament at Raising Cane's River Center, which was just down the street from the property. It was also close enough to walk to a casino and the downtown area to see some of the sites and grab food and drinks. Would recommend and would stay here again!!

Relaxing and good location!

We stayed here for Nationals Bowling and it was literally across the street. In our downtime, we were close to everything we needed and the house was very relaxing with comfortable beds. We loved it!

We had a great time. The house was the perfect size for our group of four friends. The layout is a little awkward, with no access to a bathroom from the front bedroom without going through someone else's sleeping space at night, but it wasn't a big problem. AC in front bedroom didn't seem to work, but wasn't needed; the house stayed quite cool despite the 85 degree weather. Lots of road noise outside on the weekend, but that was expected on a busy weekend (LSU football game). We would definitely stay again.

Glad you all enjoyed your stay! I wanted to respond to a couple of your comments. 1. The AC split does work in the front room I wish you would have reached out to us and we could have instructed you how on how to turn it on high as you had it set to low! Glad that the central unit for the house cooled the house effectively 2. You can access both bathrooms in the house without having to go through a bedroom. This is for all bedrooms. You all used the pull out sofa in the living room and yes to get to the bathroom from the front bedroom you do have to pass through the living room. You will never see a review mentioning this awkward layout on any platform that we are listed and we have a proven track record. Thanks for staying with us!

A quaint, well appointed place. Beautiful turn-of-the-century architecture with lovely high ceilings and tall windows. Very clean and comfortable. I rested in comfort as my hubby wrestled with the lane conditions at the bowl - directly across the street from the cottage

Great Stay

First, thanks Tonya for letting us use your home while in Baton Rouge. The house is cute inside and very convenient for all the places we wanted to go. We had 3 couples in town for the USBC tournament. Very easy 5 min walk. We walked downtown each day to do some things and everything was easy to get too. Tonya did check in with us after the first day to see how it was going and we had no complaints. I would definitely recommend/stay again. thanks again!!

Great Location, charming home

Great downtown location. All beds were very comfortable. Kitchen is small but very functional and what you would expect for a historic home. Walking distance to casino and other sites. Easy access to LSU campus via Highland Rd or Nicholson Dr. Plenty of parking. Hosts are very attentive and check in with you before and after your stay. Had one question while we were there and they texted back very promptly. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Cute cottage, great location!

Our group of 7 had a fabulous time at this cottage! We were in town for an LSU football game and volleyball match. The cottage is only 2 miles(ish)from campus so it was easy to get back and forth. The house was spotless and the beds were comfy! The extra touches were so welcome! 5 guests showered back to back with plenty of hot water and water pressure. The hosts were so attentive and answered any questions immediately. Highly recommend this property! easy to get back and forth

Great were it not for the weather

The unit was spacious and clean. There were 8 of us which meant we had to share the 3 beds & 1 fold out couch. We decided to check out early because the heat was too much for the AC to keep up, but had the weather been better we would've stayed there with no issue. The host was kind and understanding of our situation.

Thanks for the review! It was good to host you all, and I apologize again about the extreme heat. After you all checked out, we noticed that you all didn’t have the second unit on as the home has two units. This house gets as cold as a guest needs it to be. As a result of your stay we have added more details around the location of the thermostats on our check in instructions! We would love to host you again in the future.

Amazing

We fell in love with this little cottage. We were in town for gymnastics competition so we were a 5 minute walk away from the raising canes center and museum's. The home itself was so clean and charming. The beds were amazing, so much so I needed to know the brand of mattress!! I loved sitting on the porch swing in the evening. Hopefully we continue to come to this gymnastics competition every year and I WILL be a returning customer. We loved our stay and the owner/host is amazing and so easy to work with. I honestly can not describe how comfortable we all felt
