A fun, unique experience that we thoroughly enjoyed and would do again. The covered deck was perfect for hanging out and relaxing, and the fire pit was a nice to sit by in the evening. We didn’t use the grill but had we decided to it was well equipped and in good condition. We were also impressed by how well the bus itself was equipped. Kitchen had everything you might need other than an oven, and the gas range was small but very nice. Mini split A/C worked well, but read the owner instructions for how to use it. We only used the main “bedroom” for sleeping but the bed in there was comfortable. WiFi worked well and the TV was handy for catching some World Cup matches. The owners were good with communication from the start, and what they have done with the space available is impressive. However, it IS a bus so don’t expect it to be just like a house or hotel room. The bathroom works well given the space available, but the sink is tiny and so is the shower so you will need to adapt accordingly. More than 2 adults and 1 child would likely be too crowded, and people with mobility issues would probably find it challenging. One thing that would have been nice is having screens on the windows, but school buses don’t come with that feature so they would need to be custom created. All told, for my wife and I it was a wonderful home base for going hiking and enjoying the area at a very reasonable cost, and we look forward to staying there again.
