Ashleigh showed up and entered the rental unit 3 hours before her check in time and it had just been checked out of and had not been turned over yet. Our check-in time is 3 PM and checkout time is 11 AM. She entered the unit without permission at 12 noon. She was not given permission to enter nor was she provided with an entry code since her check in was not valid until that afternoon. Once I realized this happened, I tried to extend her the courtesy of allowing her to use the restroom and drop her luggage off, but her and her guests never left the property. When the cleaner showed up, they proceeded to smoke marijuana inside of the unit which is not allowed. She and her 3 guests ( more than the reservation was for) proceeded to create their own mess before full cleaning could occur given their refusal to leave the property. This created a very uncomfortable situation for the cleaner. Apparently towels did not get moved from the washer to the dryer in the chaos she created. Simple communication on her part could have had additional towels delivered as we keep an abundance in stock in storage. I heard nothing from her until 5 hours after her check out time the following day demanding a refund. She is someone trying to get something for nothing- the worst kind of renter. Inconsiderate, entitled and rude. Next time I will listen to my gut when someone brazenly enters the property unauthorized. Unfortunately most renters are good but Ashleigh was horrible.
