A wise man once said that guests who leave several well-built snowmen in the front yard are automatically really good people. I know this because that wise man was me, and it was said when I pulled in the driveway about 10 minutes ago. Thanks for staying at our house, Betsy--and please give our best to your landscape architects! (Please come back when the snow melts. as we have flower beds that could use some attention.)

Excellent Stay in the Galena Territory

This home has lots of space to spread out as well as being clean and family friendly. The location is great and convenient to get into town. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back again. Thank you!

Fantastic stay

Fantastic stay, Robert was very accommodating and great communication. The home was better than expected, exceeded my expectations. Very clean, spacious, the decks are awesome….just can’t say enough good things. Will be staying again!

It was great dealing with Derek and Robyn! They not only left the house spotless, but they also left Klondike bars. We could pay it forward and leave them for the next group, but probably won't. We're looking forward to having this group return soon!

Beautiful & Fun Property

This home was perfect to enjoy with a group of friends. It had everything we needed and was set up nicely to entertain. Check in and communication with the owner was a breeze!

Kisha’s Birthday Weekend Get-A-Way

We Loved It….Clean, Comfortable, Relaxing Environment It was everything I wanted. The host was great very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this location to others.

Visited for a mom’s book club getaway weekend and everything was exceptional start to finish! Robert was extremely responsive, kind, and helpful in all of his communications. The house is very well appointed and perfectly located for a group that wants to enjoy the beauty of the Driftless with close proximity to downtown Galena. We had 7 adults and could’ve easily accommodated 15 comfortably (plus they would’ve been well prepared to handle that many with enough towels, plates, silverware, cups, etc). We had a chef come cook dinner and the setup was perfect! We will definitely be renting again. Thank you!

This place was incredible!! It was clean, comfortable, huge, great views, and wonderful amenities! Rob was extremely accommodating responsive! 0 recommend and we would all love to stay there again, zero complaints!!

Fun Home

We had a great time in the house and enjoyed the different amenities (board games, PS4, shuffleboard, pool, a bar area. Kids liked sledding in the yard.

It was a pleasure working with Stacey and her group. We had a few minor post-construction issues, and they rolled with it while letting us get things worked out. Stacey is the kind of guest who makes us want to hand out gift bags afterwards. We still don't, but if we ever start we'll make it retroactive--because of Stacey. We're looking forward to hosting Stacey and her people again soon!

Family Christmas

We loved the house location and size. We had 9 adults, 2 kids and a dog. We all had our own rooms and plenty of space to spread out. The owners were awesome to work with and very helpful. We will definitely come back!!

Darla had but one request from the outset:: leave the Christmas tree up. We love guests who encourage procrastination, so we hope she makes an annual visit to mark the end of each holiday season! Great house for a big family gathering

House was great for 5 adults and 6 young adults. Lots of space. Walking distance to Country Store. Dining room table big enough for the whole group. Great all around experience.

Great Host & Great House!

Robert was the best! He was very quick on responses, a great communicator, friendly, accommodative, and thoughtful. The house was very clean and homey. The recent home updates were fantastic. We had the best time and I would recommend staying here to anyone. We will definitely be back.

50th Wedding Anniversary

We had 8 adults and 4 kids stay on property for a 50th wedding anniversary for my folks. The property was clean and perfect for our family! We golfed and we used the Owner's Club to swim with the kids. We catered in dinner and huge dining table made it so much better than going out to eat. We took full advantage of space and all the amenities. The hospitality of the owner was amazing!

Perfect guys getaway weekend

Can't say enough about this property and the owner. The absolute best communication I've experienced before, during and after. The house is in a prime location and is enormous, with room enough for any size group. Another bonus is with the dedicated bar, game rooms, fire pit and close to the house hot tub this is definitely an ideal year round place as there is plenty to do even in the dead of winter. A+ experience and would give 6 stars if I could.

These guys got together to celebrate their “over-the-hill” birthdays—without wives or kids. We expected to find chaos in the aftermath, but it looks like we just hosted a group of Eagle Scouts. Ryan, if you guys don’t come back next year, we’re inviting all your wives instead. But not your kids. So come back.

Perfect house for a Family reunion/event!

We stayed here for a surprise 50th Wedding Anniversary for my parents and everything was perfect! The house is huge and has enough private areas for individual families- each bedroom has an en suite, there are multiple living areas, etc., but there’s also plenty of group gathering space! Combine all that with the amazing views of the golf course and surrounding woods, the most attentive and helpful owner I’ve worked with on VRBO and all the amenities of the Galena Territory Owners Club, and you’ve got a recipe for FUN!!!! We will most definitely be back!

No, Jennie isn't my mom. It's a real review, and she's way too young. Anyway, Jennie was particular about finding the right house for their big day, and we're so glad we got to host. Jennie and her beautiful family are a fun group, and we're looking forward to seeing them next year!

Awesome stay!!!

The house has had some great upgrades since the pictures were posted and has a fully stocked kitchen! Literally anything you could imagine, they have! Newly finished game room was a hit and a great location!! So many options for people to gather inside the house and on the various porches outside. Hot tub was also a bonus! Robert was super responsive to any questions and left a nice note and sweet treat upon our arrival! We can’t wait to come back!!!

Confession: Someone gave me a box of chocolates. Since I was doing keto, I just left them for Tina and her crew to try and score points. Now I'm worried that everyone will expect chocolates; therefore, I'm done with keto. Otherwise, Tina was really fun to host. She took great care of the place, and communication with her was easy. helpful and even fun. Come back soon, Tina! We'll have trail mix waiting for you. :)

The property was amazing, plenty of room for each group to have their own space. Everything was nice and clean. The popcorn machine was a hit, nice feature. The coffee bar was a busy place in the morning. The host was very conscientious and kept our comfort his priority! We will be back!!

Cindy is fantastic! We did a stealth rollout of our new gourmet ice cube feature for Cindy’s stay, and she gave kudos within hours of checking in. Even had she not, we’d like her because she took great care of the place. (But that’s a common trait of people who appreciate good ice.) Come back soon, Cindy!

Fantastic family time in Galena

We had a wonderful time staying here. The house was immaculate (probably cleanest we have ever had with VRBO), beautifully decorated, beds were so comfortable, and plenty of room for all of family. It is difficult to get us all together now and this place worked superbly. Robert is a fantastic host. Quick answers to all our questions, and super fast response on any items that came up. We got plenty of steps in this vacation and loved it!😃 The grandkids all want to come back! Thanks so much for everything, Robert!

This one was interesting. The fridge was relatively new but it stopped working. We replaced it the following morning. We were embarrassed. While we were removing the bad fridge, we came back to find Tim’s wife sweeping the area before we slid the new one in. Tim was removing packaging and tape. His wife offered us some homemade delicacies. We want Tim and his family to come back. And we want to hang out with them while they’re here. These are genuinely first-class people, and are the kind of guests that make this such a fun and rewarding endeavor. And if anyone wants a broken fridge, please reach out.

Family ski trip

We stayed here for our family Christmas ski trip. The location in the Territories was perfect. It’s a super convenient location within the territories. The property changed ownership right before our visit. The new owner was fantastic! He communicated with us prior to the trip ensuring we knew all information needed prior to entering the property. He also was quick and attentive with any and all questions we asked during the stay! I’ll even give him extra credit points for sending us snow for our ski trip. :) There were plenty of extra sleeping spaces (4 futons) for our kids! Wonder stay!! Will be coming back for sure on our next family ski vacation!

Emily and her family are the best guests to stay in a short term rental in the entire history of guests and short term rentals. It’s one thing to strip the beds, but to take everything to the laundry room, sort it and fire up the machines is over the top. It was such a pleasure to host them, and I look forward to them becoming regulars.

Perfect Location, Perfect Stay, Perfect Expereince!

My fiancé and I (along with other family) stayed here during our wedding week in Galena, and it was hands down the greatest VRBO experience we've had. Robert made the process as stress-free as possible. From the moment we booked, he was kind, thoughtful, and extremely responsive. We arrived at the house late at night and were so happy to find a welcome card with some drinks and treats. The house was extremely clean, with room for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves. Having a bathroom attached to each room is a huge perk! We felt like we were living in luxury for a week - The best view, close to anything we may need, yet also far away from any other neighbors. I would recommend this place to anyone, you can't go wrong! Thank you Robert, for making our time in Galena so special!

After hosting Katarina it was immediately obvious why her new husband snatched her up. She’s a gem, and Tyler needs to reward her with annual visits to our house to show her how much he appreciates her. Congratulations. you two! We’ll get to work on baby-proofing the place. Back 14 Years Later

We stayed in this house when our sons were teenagers. This trip, our grandchildren were also with us. A few family members stayed a couple of nights as well. Each room having its own attached bathroom is so nice. The beds were comfy, the game room was fun, the screened porch off the kitchen was a favorite gathering spot to sit and visit and enjoy the birds chirping in the nearby trees, plenty of extra sheets and towels... I could go on, but, basically, everything was great! I cannot imagine a nicer host than Robert. He has been excellent to deal with. He responded quickly to my texts and exceeded my expectations as a host. His humorous and friendly nature is well suited for hosting. We plan to return again, but much sooner next time.

Always wanted to have guests who showed up without fanfare and used their vacation time to paint, refinish hardwood floors and replace the roof. Hasn’t happened, but Laurie came. She’s way better. Laurie, our door is always open for you. Unless other people are here. Please, please hurry back! And I’m not crying. It’s just allergies.
