After extensive renovation Maple Spring located at 25137 Walden Road, Abingdon, VA has been renting to happy guests since 2009. $165.00 is the daily rental amount for two guests. ***There is an additional $75.00 charge per night for each additional guest. (Yes, children are included in the count.)*** The inn is completely furnished, and professionally decorated. Original structure was built in 1865 with addition and total renovation in 2009. Enjoy the tranquil country setting from the spacious covered porch - complete with ceiling fans and rocking chairs. Offering four bedrooms. Jet tubs in two of the bathrooms, clawfoot tub and shower in the other. One bedroom available on the main level. One king size bed, two full size beds, two twin beds. All linens are furnished. Fully equipped kitchen. Xfinity cable TV & WI-FI. 3000 square feet of living space for your enjoyment. All situated on 21 picturesque acres. Great location only 3.5 miles from the heart of downtown Abingdon, VA. Available for short term rental only. Two day minimum. No pets, no smoking.
***Please note there are cats on the property. They are feral and have never been inside. I am allergic to cats. You will however, sometimes see them on the porches. Guests will be required to feed the cats during your stay. Cat food is provided at the house. If the cats are a problem do not book a stay here.***

Wonderful Abingdon getaway

My friend and I stayed 2 nights and definitely will be going back. Our host was very thorough, easy to communicate with, and very accommodating. We knew exactly what to expect throughout and had nothing but great interactions with her. The property is lovely, located in the gorgeous, winding country roads of Abingdon. The house is charming and very comfortable with lots of fascinating history. The weather was beautiful so we spent a lot of time of the front porch with the stray cats, who are little charmers all on their own. We went into town for dinner and shopping (lots of neat shops -- check out Zephyr's for antiques). Went to The Girl and The Raven for breakfast. Strenuously recommend! Truly couldn't have been a better experience all 'round.

Wonderful Farmhouse

This charming and comfortable restored/updated farmhouse has interesting antiques and vintage items throughout the house. The 3 bathrooms are roomy and conveniently located. The 4 bedrooms are comfortable. The updated kitchen has ample dishes and cookware. There ate also some very inviting outside areas. It's also just minutes away from Barter Theater. I highly recommend it!

Wonderful Stay!

Wonderful place to stay. Huge home with all the extra things you want to enjoy while on vac. Tubs were jetted and extra large. Beds were cozy. Would come back again, but this time with more folks. This 4 bed 3bath was much more that the 2 of us really needed. You will LOVE IT!

Convenient Country Livin'!

Peaceful, pastoral setting, yet only minutes from town. The house is exactly as pictured, VERY clean and beautifully appointed. Our family spent hours sitting on the porch, laughing and sharing stories. The kitchen is very well equipped.

Warm & Welcoming!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Maple Spring Inn. The attention to detail the host has put into this place to make your stay comfortable is incredible. We loved sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs in the mornings and then again in the evenings just taking in the peace and quiet.

Adorable house in a beautiful setting

We had a wonderful stay at Donna's house. It was clean, cute and the property was beautiful. We loved all the antiques and especially the comfortable front porch. The location was an easy drive to Abingdon. The only item that I wish they had was an electric tea kettle, but we made do. We would definitely stay there again.

Great!

We had a great time. Everything was very clean and we had plenty of space. It was so quiet and peaceful! It was an easy 20 minute drive to Damascus where we got on the shuttle to the top of the Virginia Creeper trail, and 8 minutes to downtown Abingdon where there were plenty of cute restaurants to choose from. A wonderful stay!

Celebrating 80 years

I group (5) of seniors navigated the steps and stairs cautiously at Maple Springs. We loved the house and grounds. We were delighted to enjoy the porch seats until the racoon family showed up. Inside was very comfortable.

The best experience I’ve ever had

I could go on and on about how great this property is and how wonderful Donna is, but I think everyone else has already said that. This beautiful property was built in the 1800s and has history with her family. The house has a story and honestly, made it extra special. It was also very nice to come get a hot bath in a whirlpool jetted tub after running 34 miles on the Virginia Creeper Trail. I HIGHLY recommend staying here if you’re going to Abingdon. It was a great, peaceful place to be with my friends post-race.

Abingdon Gem

A very special cottage and wonderful relaxing retreat. The bedrooms were all very nicely appointed. The bathrooms are all updated with high end and modern fixtures. The kitchen was stocked with supplies better than I have at home. The porch is wonderful with serene views of the local landscape. I could go on and on but I don't see how this cottage could be any better that its current state. We hope to stay again next year!!

Wonderful Home in Quiet Area

The home is amazingly beautiful and the yard is wonderful within a tranquil neighborhood. When you go out in the morning you will hear sheep in the distant field and be greeted by the feral cats near the house. The house is very well stocked with essential items and very clean. The master bedroom upstairs is huge. Beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. Close to Abingdon and about 25 minutes to Damascus. We enjoyed the town of Abingdon very much and went to Damascus to ride bikes on the creeper. It was a very good stay and I would not hesitate to book again.

Lovely home with a history

Eight of my girlfriends and I spent the weekend in this beautiful historic home. We loved the character of the home and the antiques and personal touches throughout. Don't be discouraged by the age of the home, as it is spacious and has all the amenities of a new structure. The kitchen has a large granite island and is stocked with anything you may need. The bathrooms are plush with rain showers and beautiful jacuzzi tubs. There are 2 large indoor gathering areas, and the side porch has seating for many. The home is private, but only a few miles from downtown Abingdon. The cleanliness of the home was extraordinary - even the kitchen cupboards were extremely clean! The owner was accessible and helpful. I highly recommend staying at Maple Springs Inn.

Beautiful and historical home

This home was very comfortable and lovely. Very close to Abingdon yet in a rural setting. Perfect for shopping and attending Barter Theatre. Loved all the effort this home owner put into restoring this historical home.
