For the price, the place was great and worked very well for us! Compared with a hotel stay, we really appreciated having a dedicated kitchen to make coffee, a living room to watch TV before bed, and the walkability of the neighborhood. Street parking was easy, and we were able to find a spot each evening pretty close to the house. I highly recommend this place as a budget friendly option in a great neighborhood!

We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property! I will make my review simple to follow by listing the pros and cons.Pros:True Pittsburgh charmVery good hostCleanQuiet areaComfortable Plenty of room for at least 2 people Locality is great to many things in Pittsburgh.Parking is available Cons:Although parking is available it is very tight and competitive. (the smaller your car the better)Inside steps are on the steep side. Just a heads up for anyone with difficulties walking.Please note my cons are not criticisms of the owner or the apartment itself for they have no control over those issues.

Great place! Awesome location and walking distance to lots of cool stuff, and public transport. Host was very helpful and welcoming, and even left us a gift basket for the NFL draft! Such a cool, personalized touch.

There was limited parking but I did arrive pretty late though. When I walked in it was SO HOT in there but the host was quick to add another air conditioner unit to the home which cooled the place down quickly! Great customer service and would gladly use this company again!

Parking was easy. The property was pet friendly. The owner was relatively easy to contact. I suspect that there was a mold issue in the apartment as I had a severe reaction to the air quality during my stay. There were a few things that weren't fully explained. For instance there were some issues with the TV that could have been easily solved with a sheet of "How to connect" set of instructions.

Girls night at the theater!

The property was as pictured and enjoyed our night. Nick was very responsive. We had an issue checking in, (we were a few minutes early) but, Nick handled it quickly. Very close to downtown, restaurants and clubs.

Beautiful apartment

My stay in the unit was perfect. The unit was clean and nicely furnished. It was perfect for me because my husband was a patient in the ICU at West Penn Hospital only a block away from the apartment. Lovely area. Quiet given its proximity to West Penn and Children's hospitals. I highly recommend this unit.

Good

Clean and comfortable! Bed next to the wall had a big dip in the middle. Towels could be bigger. Stove and oven worked fine, kitchen clean except wall behind the sink.

Great place in a great neighborhood

Picked this place due to affordability and location, and pet-friendliness. Mathilda is a nice street in a good neighborhood, with Bloomfield on one side and Garfield/Friendship on the other. Place itself is very nice and clean, easy to get into, and an easy walk from various restaurants and attractions, including the amazing Allegheny Cemetery, filled with historic mausoleums and obelisks. Lots of free parking in the area, and easy drive to different parts of the city. If you like nightlife and happen to be there on the first Friday of the month, Penn Avenue in Garfield comes alive with hip/artsy activities until 10 pm, don't miss it! I am definitely staying here again if I visit Pittsburgh.

My Stay

The apartment was clean and very comfortable. I gave 4 stars because the front cement stairs are unsafe - the middle step is crumbling. Also, overflowing trash barrels are out front. Food was delivered to this address and sat on the front porch for 2 days. With some attention to the outside of the building, this would be a more pleasant stay.

The communication was very poor prior to booking. I reached out several times to see if I could bring my cat with me. I contacted them several times through text, email and a phone call but no response. I needed to know if I could bring my cat and have a late checkout as I had to go to work. But since I didn’t get a response I had to leave her behind. If the number listed is incorrect on the site it shouldn’t be listed. Also the description of the apartment door was incorrect a completely different color so that was confusing on arrival. Once I was in contact with the host I did express my frustration about the poor communication and there was no apology or even an acknowledgment. They just went onto the next topic. The apartment was a comfortable stay however the neighborhood is just ok it is exactly one minute from a cemetery luckily you don’t see it from any of the rooms. My suggestion is to communicate better and if the contact information is wrong don’t post on Travelocity.

This property suited us very well. It was clean and cheery. Conveniently located to West Penn Hospital, restaurants, attractions. Parking was easy. Our "host" stayed in almost daily contact to make sure we were comfortable. Will stay there in the future.
