A slice of heaven

Reviewer Comments: My Husband has been visiting the island since he was a child.We have been with our children multiple times.This tome we decided to stay at the resort and it was the perfect space for us and now 2 youngest children. We will definitely be back soon. I hope the gives the island a break. I love the atmosphere and hope to go back and see it fully recovered from all the storms .Even with the construction and closing of the pools we had an amazing time and give credit to the resort for still being inviting and helpful. The island is definitely a special place for us and the villa we stayed in was just the icing on top the cake.

Nothing better than Island Time.

We have gone every year in May for the last 6 years and we start talking about it just after Christmas every year. This is our family's favorite place to chill (just added WIFI this year - nice bonus!)

I left a beach bag in the villa we were staying in and the staff boxed it up and sent it to me. Great customer service. Great place.

Another vacation in paradise!

It was decorated very nice and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the extra room and beds upstairs in the loft area. It’s always a treat to spend time on Palm Island, it never disappoints!

Wonderful Unit in Great Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in several villas and this one is a top choice. Lots of sleeping room and double ovens so great for larger families. Did have to clear out the bathroom sink drain since it was slow - renters have taken their toll a little bit. Overall awesome place though!

Palm Island Rental Property

Only allowed two vouchers during stay. Parking was limited if you chose to leave vehicle on mainland.

Patel/Sadasivan reunion

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented four 3 bedroom condos on Palm Island. We had a great time. We walked every morning. We had a few hot water, air conditioning issues, but maintenance came quick. We had fun on the beach and pool. We used the grill at the pool. All the condos had nice area to congregate. We alternated meals at all the condos and accommadated 32 people. Some of the condos had pool toys, chairs and umbrellas. Overall everyone had a great reunion.

Beautiful Resort, Not So Great Timing

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the resort and the condo, it is an amazing setting on a beautiful island. We definitely would come back, but probably when the weather was more assured. During our stay, there was a cold front that came in that brought gray, rain, lots of flooding, rough seas and gloom. Because of the weather, we didn’t spend as much time outside/on the beach enjoying the wonderful amenities. As such, we had to go out and find fun, and spending more time off island than planned. The local area has a couple great restaurants, but we ended yo driving to Punta Gorda, Sarasota, Manasota Key, etc. to find places to eat and things to do, which is a bit of a haul. But on the nicer days, we walked the beach collecting shells, soaked in the not tub, rented kayaks, and had some nice daily runs on the island. I’d highly recommend this condo and the island, but 1. Be sure to use the kitchen a lot, and 2. Book at a time where great weather is expected

Special Family Birthday Celebration

Reviewer Comments: Despite the arrival of Tropical Storm Andrea a day before our check-in and the location of our villa units being changed a week before due to the owner's wife's rigid demands, we ended up having a truly memorable, relaxing weekend with our children and grandchildren. The staff went out of their way to accommodate all of our requests and graciously introduced themselves upon our arrival on to the island. Each grandchild had a surprise sandbucket full of "goodies" prepared by Debbie awaiting them in the villas....our steak and lobster Birthday Bar-B-Q by the pool was deliciously prepared amidst a late afternoon rain shower and was thoroughly enjoyed by all (highly recommended activity!!!!). From riding around in the golf carts, to playing tennis, swimming in the pool, and riding tandem bikes, a great time was had by all. Even "nature" provided some really cool things for the kids to see - a snake (ugh!!), a big tortoise, a lobster crab found on the beach, rabbits, and a family of manatees under one of the docks...Only suggestion I would have is for Coconuts Café to stock more variety of food items. Big "shout out" to Jimmy, our valet driver, who was so helpful getting our belongings up and down those 3 flights of stairs!

Cousin's Weekend

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've been coming to Palm Island for 25 years. In the early mornings, We collect shark teeth and shells on the beach. We love swimming in the Gulf and watching magnificent sunsets. Exploring the island by golf cart and hopping in the pool and hot tub usually round out our day of living on Island Time. Santa surprised both young and old on a Candy filled Firetruck followed by a Christmas Holiday golf cart parade. That being said, this unit needs maintenance. With proper attention, this Villa can be restored to a Superior rating.The master and guest room shower heads do not work. The master and guest room king mattresses need replacement, they've long outlived their usefulness. The loft area television is broken. The flooring transition strip between the LR/DR is detached and needs to be tacked down. The barstool at the kitchen counter is missing hardware/screws making it wonky and unstable. The RF burner on the stove doesn't work. Also, the kitchen disposal is stinky and needs sanitizing. The dryer lint trap needs replacement. In general, should go around and check all lights to ensure all bulbs work.(Loft area & LR lamps not working) As a side note, while checking into Palm Island make sure to request an alternative pool key access FOB, as the pool heater associated with the unit is not working. In true 2020 style, the entire island was without power for several hours on Dec 18th.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our initial unit 2424 was in poor condition: broken railing, moldy smell in unit , exposed sheet rock. We were transferred to another unit that was much nicer but lost several hours for items to be moved and the new unit to be ready. The review is based on the first unit that was booked. I was surprised that no one had inspected it before allowing it to be rented out.

The perfect family getaway.

I rented two beachside Villas to accomodate my 3 grown children and their families. The pictures did not do the property justice. We found everything to be very clean and well maintained. The staff at Coconuts and the restaraunt were very friendly and personable. I would definately recommend Palm Island to my friends and would like to come back in the future. We loved having chairs accessible for beach use. And the pool was easy to access and maintained well.

Third year stay renting two villas

Went to get on boat to Leverock but were told they were not open. The next time the boat did not show up. Had to get 3 golf carts to get one that worked.
