Nestled in the heart of Tahoma, this spacious 3-bedroom Chalet offers the perfect escape for your Tahoe getaway. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a cozy living room with a fireplace, inviting you to unwind and soak in the mountain ambiance. This private cabin has no neighbors in all directions. It is next to a greenbelt with a sledding hill and hiking trails.

The fully stocked kitchen is a chef's delight, equipped with a Keurig coffee pot, stove, refrigerator, Instant Pot, Kitchen Aid Mixer, and all the necessary appliances and utensils to whip up delectable meals. Gather around the dining table and savor your culinary creations, or step outside and fire up the grill for an al fresco dining experience.

When it's time to relax, play a game, or curl up with a good book from the extensive library. The cabin also boasts a washing machine and dryer, ensuring you can keep your clothes fresh throughout your stay.

Walk or bike to the beach. Explore Tahoe City's unique shops. Just a short 28-minute drive away, you'll find the renowned Palisades Tahoe, where you can hit the slopes or explore the stunning natural beauty of Emerald Bay State Park, just 14 minutes away. The chalet is beautiful, cozy, and well appointed. The floor plan provides for privacy as well as comfortable places to gather. The kitchen is lovely. A few steps from the front door is a trailhead to a network of hiking trails, and the neighborhood is pleasant to stroll in.

The property did not live up to its description. Windows, bbq, carpets were dirty. Sofa was uncomfortable. It was cluttered. While this property has enjoyed high ratings, think twice about staying here. When we brought these things to the attention of the host, she ignored our concerns and said if we had notified her right away she could have done something. Honestly, given what was wrong that was impossible. She is unresponsive and unsympathetic. Keep looking. There are better options.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. However, we feel it is important to clarify the record regarding your two-week stay. As you noted, we were only made aware of these concerns after your departure, at which point a refund was requested. Had you contacted us during your stay regarding any housekeeping needs, we would have been more than happy to send our cleaning team to address them immediately. Regarding the property, our cabin is nestled in a heavily wooded mountain environment where pine needles, pollen, and natural dust are a constant factor despite our regular maintenance routines. Additionally, while you found the main sofa unsuited to your preference, the cabin also provides three comfortable recliners for a party of two. We always strive to provide a comfortable, well-appointed retreat for our guests and regret that this stay did not meet your expectations.

Great Stay in Tahoma

We had a lovely stay in Tahoma. Flat street towards the end of the road was perfect for the kids to ride bikes and explore. Looking forward to our next stay here.

I don't get it. Everything you said is positive. You didn't mention the gourmet kitchen, the beamed ceilings, and the deck with dining for 8. And, you said you're looking forward to your next stay. Why the 4 stars?

Really beautiful cabin. Great quiet location near a dog-friendly beach. Owners are responsive and friendly. Easy cleanup process. And really great value.

Great house and location

We loved sledding in the forest behind the property. Very convenient to skiing at homewood. We hope to stay here again!

Nice place for winter vacation.

It's 2nd rental of this house. I will come back with my family. It's on dead end with easy access to ski resorts.

Perfect Winter Getaway

This is our go to vacation home when our family wants to spend a few days together at beautiful Lake Tahoe. We have stayed here a few times. The home is clean and comfortable (very comfy mattresses!). The location is at the end of the road so very quiet, with the forest and hiking trails right next to it. We made Thanksgiving dinner here and the kitchen had all the tools we needed for a successful meal.

Beautiful and Peaceful

We had a wonderful time at Kitty’s house in Tahoe! It was perfect for our group of two families and was exactly as described. And Kitty was easy to communicate with and was very responsive to all of my questions. We hope to visit again soon!

A perfect west shore getaway

We absolutely loved our time here. We spend a lot of time on the west shore and this house perfectly situated at the end of a cul-de-sac was amazing for us with two young kids, who are newer bike riders. We loved walking and riding bikes to chambers and Tahoma Market every morning, and the trails around the house. The house itself was perfect for us— 3 adults and 2 kids. The kitchen was nicely updated and I liked the layout— it really had everything we needed. I will definitely be staying here again!

Another Great Tahoma Stay

This is at least the fifth time our family has stayed at this vacation home. It’s comfortable, has a well supplied kitchen, and is always clean. And the location is wonderful! It’s at the end of the road and is quite private, and right next to the forest with great hiking and sledding opportunities. We will be back.

Extended Family

We were traveling with my family with younger children, and my in-laws (with limited mobility). The cabin was so comfortable for all of us and had enough room for us to spread out, and also to spend time together. The kitchen was VERY well stocked and appreciated.

A Sweet Stay

House was well equipped. Downside was that house had not been prepared for arrival (water and hot water not turned on and house could have used a good cleaning); however owner was very responsive, quickly, with giving direction to get back on track.

We loved everything about this property! First of all communication with the owner was outstanding, thank you! The place was beyond outstanding. Spacious, two fireplaces, very clean, great location, close to the ski resorts, games to play and movies to watch, walking trail from the cabin, BBQ on the deck, and all the appliances you need just like you were at home. The owner even created a guest book that is a Bible for everything in the area, food, sking, etc... We will definitely rent here again. Our family had the BEST time.

Wonderful location, heaven at Lake Tahoe!

One of the few (maybe the only) properties that mirror the description at HomeAway. Clean, well organized rental. Everything was in working order. The kitchen had everything needed. We stayed a month and our only issue was that we couldn’t initially get connected to the internet. The issue was resolved immediately!

Had a great time and your cabin was very nice. The people who were in the cottage parked over so far

That we had to park one in front of the other. The only thing that was uncomfortable was thT it was very hot in there with all the fans on . I don't know if it was hotter than normal causing it. But would still come back.

Truly a home away from homeThis beautiful house has everything you could want. If you don’t see something you need, look a bit harder, I’m sure you’ll find it. We particularly appreciated the large amount of storage space - large dressers, spacious closets with plenty of hangers, lots of hooks - so we could really move in and not have to live out of a suitcase. The entry has a bench for putting on shoes and hooks for hanging outerwear. The kitchen has granite countertops, high-end appliances, and every utensil you could want. In the downstairs bathroom, the toilet and tub/shower are separated from the sink by a door so that 2 people can use it more efficiently. Large beautiful deck with BBQ, quiet location with hiking trail, why would you want to stay anywhere else?

Lloyd is a retired General Contractor. Kitty is a retired primary teacher. We have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. We have been hosts for 15 years. We like it when guests have a great time and share that information with us.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

I'm from Wisconsin and like to see snow a few times a year. We used to visit Tahoe before we built our cabin. Lloyd was working on a Safeway when I found our lots. We liked the area because it offered summer and winter sports that we liked. Tahoe is 2 hours away for us so a quick weekend getaway is possible. We like to go sledding, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, bike riding and gambling. Tahoe fits the bill.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

I love the peace and quiet. No immediate neighbors. We own our side of the block and the neighbor across from us owns the whole block and his house faces the other street. Our cabin is at the end of our street and backs up to a greenbelt. This gives easy access to hiking and sledding. More hiking & biking trails start at the end of Gray Ave. I love the peace and quiet. No immediate neighbors.
