Fir Shore is a spacious log chalet that is ready to welcome your family and friends to Deep Creek Lake!

Cathedral ceilings and a wall of windows give the main level's open floor plan a bright and airy feel. You will immediately feel right at home as you sink into one of the comfortable sofas in the great room. Warm up by a crackling fire after a day on the slopes as you watch TV or a favorite DVD.

Make your best home-cooked meal in the fully equipped kitchen. It has lots of counter and cabinet space. You can share big breakfasts and delicious dinners around the dining table. Seating for ten at the table and five more at the breakfast bar gives everyone plenty of room. Plus, there's a gas grill right outside the sliding doors when you are in the mood for a cookout.

Each of the main level bedrooms is furnished with a queen bed. You are sure to get a good night's sleep so that you wake up refreshed and ready to try out new Deep Creek Lake activities.

At the top of the stairs, you will find the loft with a queen sleeper sofa. It adds to your options for sleeping quarters should you have the need. There is a primary suite with a king bed, TV and DVD player. This private haven also has a its own balcony where you can stargaze at night and sip your coffee in the morning. A second primary suite is furnished with a king bed and TV.

Lacking nothing, this home offers something for everyone. You can hang out in the lower level family room playing billiards or a foosball. Shelves are stocked with books and board games and there is a wet bar with a mini fridge for your snacks and drinks. Curl up on the sofa to watch TV or a DVD with the glow of the gas fireplace in the background.

There is a third primary suite with a queen bed on the lower level along with a bedroom with a queen bed.

You will truly enjoy the great outdoor space throughout your stay! The partially covered upper deck offers scenic views that change with the seasons. The lower deck is home to the bubbling hot tub that is ready and waiting to soothe tired muscles.

Bring a boat in the summer and keep it at your dock slip, located only a short drive away. You are also within a five to ten-minute drive from restaurants, shops, mini golf, marinas and nightlife.

Be sure to visit Deep Creek Lake State Park when you are in the area. They have a sandy beach with lifeguards, picnic areas, playgrounds and canoe and kayak rentals. You can also take the kids to the Discovery Center that is home to hands-on exhibits about the local, natural environment. Park staff often have great activities like guided hikes and tours of the aviary.

Within a five-minute drive, you can hit the links at Wisp Resort's Fantasy Valley golf course. Wisp is well-known for endless recreation. Skiing, mountain biking, ziplines, snow tubing, Segway tours and Escape Games are just a few of the options.

We loved the property for our holiday weekend. It needed to be cleaned better toilets still had urine around the base, along with some other minor issues we loved the house!

A Couple Days By the Lake

We went to Deep Creek to celebrate a family birthday. We were only there for 3 days but managed to cram in boating, mini golf and just sitting around the fire pit. Plenty of room in the house for all of us and the location made everything easily reachable. We never felt on top of each other.

We chose ā€œFir Shoreā€ for a 60th birthday family gathering. It was great! Everybody enjoyed the house. The beds were comfy, the house was spacious and the decorations seemed above average for a rental. Very pleasant. We had fun with the pool table, the hot tub (even though the jets didnā€™t always work), sitting on the deck, playing cards at the big dining room table. The kitchen had everything we could wish for and more. The TVs relied on smart apps only. Internet service was good. A dock slip was advertised, but was not available. So we rented one for about 500. Taylor-Made offered 150 refund. Still, overall a great stay.Some small things we ran in to, which might be helpful to know:- The wash machine does not complete ā€œlightā€ loads. Use medium or large loads. - One of the wooden benches in the dining room has a bit of a catch due to a wood irregularity that snagged and tore some clothing. We put that bench by the window and used the other one at the table.- The guy directly across the street called and complained to the rental agency after we turned around in his gravel driveway. It was a very light disturbance with tire tracks and a slight groove visible on the otherwise smooth gravel.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First time at Deep Creek so unfamiliar with locations and the area. The Fir Shore house though was a great place to stay. Very spacious and accommodated the 15 people we had in there. The place was very clean and beautiful. Not close to the lake but still in driving distance. The only problem we had was the garbage was not taken out from the last people and that first night a bear must have came because it was knocked over and some trash all in the ground.

Great Family Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had two families and a total of 12 people stay at Fir Shore. The house was clean and the beds were very comfortable. 8 of our family memebers were between the ages of 18 and 24. The downstairs was a great place for them to hang out without the parents. The sound system had Bluetooth so they could play their own music. The two master suites were on the top floor and no matter how loud the music was played in the basement, the parents couldn't hear it from their rooms. The house had plenty of room and was very spacious. The hot tub was clean and in working order. The only minuses would be the downstairs patio had some serious settlement issues and the patio furniture had multiple broken chairs and none of the furniture was cleaned before our arrival. The common road getting to the property is in some serious need of more stone. therr were large pot holes making it difficult for cars. SUV's have no problem. The house location is close to everything so you do not have to drive far. I would definitely rent this house again. It was a memorable vacation!

Overall pretty good, but...

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Things got off to a bad start when we arrived. The animal-proof trash bin out back, apparently wasn't animal proof. We arrived to the previous renter's food and trash spread all over the driveway. Even if it hadn't been gone through by the animals, there would have been no room for us to put our trash for the weekend. The really disappointing part was Taylormade's response time. They assured us that someone would be out immediately on our first call, we were told they were on their way 4 hours later after our 2nd call, and then told that it would be taken care of shortly when we called again the next day. The place had plenty of room and was very clean. The only gripe i had about the place was some of the features could use repaired. The pool table, and fooseball table both need to be repaired, and the hot tub cover was ripped in 2 pieces. There is next to no cell phone reception at the house and the wifi speed was registering below 1 mbps the entire weekend. You wont be able to stream a movie here. Overall we had a great weekend and the house served it's purpose. We would however look to stay somewhere else the next time we visit deep creek. Oh and the road to the rental is rough, real rough...

Beautiful Stay at Fir Shore Cabin

There were 14 of us (10 adults, and 4 kids) renting the house for a family gathering and as a 50th Wedding Anniversary present to our parents. We were there for 4 days, at the end of June. The memories made were priceless. The house served our needs perfectly, as we were 3 individual families, each with kids. Each family got their own level to reside on, with my family splitting the two upstairs master suites with my parents. There was ample seating between the large table and eat in kitchen, plenty of storage for food, and plenty of space for us to spread out, while still feeling cozy and united as a family. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. We also used the back hill (a little steep but do-able) for some family games. The lower outdoor back porch and furniture could use a little upkeep and love or updating. The gravel road leading to the house could also use some love (maybe paving in the near future?), and be sure to bring vehicles that can handle the steep gravel driveway leading to the house. There was ample parking for all 5 of our vehicles. Taylor-Made was very helpful and informative about the area, and the house, and were accessible and friendly when needed. We spent our first full day at Wisp, where we found aerial activities for all ages in our group (4-74 yrs). This was a family favorite day. It was so fun to be able to do our own activities, while watching and cheering each other on. We finished with some bumper boats, and go cart racing at Smilies. We spent our next day on the lake, with a rented pontoon which was gorgeous, relaxing, and fun. The house comes with a boat slip, which is a short drive from the house, with easy parking, which made loading and unloading a cinch. We used Lake Life Boat Rentals, as we received a free tube with our Taylor-Made rental. Go for the full day rental, it's worth it. We will definitely be returning to Deep Creek in the fut

Not impressed

Considering all taxes we paid, we found dishes in the cabinets that were very dirty, including silverware. Bathrooms also, not cleaned well. I sent a message before our trip, no response. That grill needs to be replaced, for us to cook something it took forever! Also, after 10 of us connected to the wifi, the other two were not able to connect with an ā€œopen page error.ā€ Definitely not going back. The cabin and rooms look nice, but everything else just not worth the price, way too expensive for what you get.

Our stay at Fir Shore

Stayed at this property for 4 days with a large group of 4 families. Ages varied from 5 weeks old-adults. The property was great nestles back away from others yet very close and convenient to 219. Short walk to the lake which the kids loved. Only downside is itā€™s on a dirt road with lots of huge pot holes. The driveway is very steep so getting in and out was a challenge. Luckily we all have trucks. Driving in and out was an adventure. Overall our stay was awesome and weā€™d def stay here again

Great, tucked away spot for a group vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is one road up from Lake Shore Dr (main drive) which is nice so you don't hear any of the traffic. Very convenient for commuting to the Deep Creek Marina as well as Swallow Hills State Park. There is a property directly next door which was occupied during our visit but we didn't hear too much of the noise from that house. Plenty of space for parking and the rooms are all spread out which made it easy for people to get around without everyone crowding in one area. Main living space: well laid-out for accommodating 14 guests. However, the couches in the main living room are outdated and have seen better days; both couches "sink" towards the middle. We congregated predominantly in this main living space so it made the couch situation more obvious. Carpet throughout the main living space and upstairs is worn. Suggestions for kitchen: need to invest in better knives. Lower level: hot tub was great and we enjoyed relaxing after getting bumped around tubing on the lake. The couch down here was very comfortable and the space was great for entertaining between the foosball table and pool table. All guests said the beds were comfortable and we slept well. Deck area is awesome; we were outside at least half of the time during this stay; we set up cornhole boards on the deck and had plenty of space for that in addition to grilling out and using the picnic table.

We were hoping for a small fire pit outside but there was none. Also make sure you do not have a low rider car, the road is very country with large holes, driveway is loose rock and front wheel drive cars were spinning tires heading up it.

Nice house with a few maintenance issues

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was large enough for 3 families and had a great basement with pool table/foosball table. The eating area and bar stools provided enough seating for everyone! The kitchen was stocked with most stuff but we did bring some specialty pots. Although the house was nice, we had a few issues. Upon arrival the basement toilet had leaked outside the bathroom onto the carpet in the hallway. The middle level bathroom was also not flushing and the ice maker did not work. We called the rental company and they were quick to have someone come out and fix everything. They were supposed to wet vac the carpet but didn't so had to come back out the next day to do that. The wifi was very spotty and half of the time wouldn't let you connect at all. Most of what I consider basic channels were not included in their tv package. The driveway was steep and while there we got 8 inches of snow so one of our group's vehicles could not make it up. We expected this based on the warning so this was not a big deal...but just be warned. Overall, we did have a great trip even with the minor issues.

Reviewer Comments: Cozy house in a good location but driveway is way too steep for anything but 4x4 in winter. Foosball table, Pool table, dishes are all old and in need of repair. WIFI was slow and unusable. Online video is old and needs to be updated. Property management company did salt the driveway but manager never called back for WIFI concern nor for my feedback after the trip. Manager was never available to speak with the customer.

Nestled away!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fir Shore is a beautiful home away from home. Nicely decorated with all the amenities of home! The home is secluded and nestled away from the main highway and sits atop a hill where you can view the lake from the deck. My family enjoyed this home during the Thanksgiving holiday, I would highly recommend this home for any family gathering big or small.

NEED UPDATED, AND TLC CARE

Rating Details: The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: FIRST OF ALL THE ROAD UP HOUSE WAS TERRIBLE , WASNT SURE IF IT WAS A ROAD. THE BEDS ARE IN NEED OF REPLACEMENT , MATTRESS WERE WORE OUT.CARPET WAS STAINED ALL OVER ON MAIN FLOOR. GRILL WAS IN POOR SHAPE,KITCHEN STOVE NEEDS REPLACED. DRIVE WAY WAS UP A HILL, IT COULD BE A BEAUTIFUL PLACE IF YOU CLEANED AND PAINTED AND GOT RID OF CARPET AND REPLACED MATTRESS ,STOVE, GRILL,FIT THE ROAD UP TO IT. ALSO TOOK A LONG TIME TO DRY TOWLES. WE MADE THE BEST OF IT AND DID HAVE A GOOD TIME . THE KICHEN WAS STOCKED WITH LOTS OF UTENSIS, AND GREAT HOT TUB. ALSO THE POOL AND FITNESS CENTER WAS AT THE COLLEGE WAS GOING TO GO THERE NOT REALLY HAPPY ABOUT THAT , WASNT REALLY CLEAR THAT WHERE THE POOL WAS .ALSO CALLED ON FRIDAY TO TELL SOMEONE IN OFFICE THAT WE NEED TRASH PICK UP AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD BE PICK UP THAT SAME DAY NEVER HAPPENED. SO WE HAD TO PUT TRASH ON TOP OF TRASH BEND.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOUSE.

Labor Day Weekend at Fir Shore

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay at Fir Shore. The house was just the right size for our family, there were plenty of bathrooms, and it has a large table where we could all gather. There were a few minor things wrong with the house that happen because the house is lived in, but nothing that kept us from enjoying our vacation. When we had any questions, they responded pleasantly, and the dishwasher service man was very courteous and professional. We would probably rent somewhere else with closer access to water but we didn't miss it on this visit because the weather was cool and rainy, and we had the perfect place to be together indoors. We had a great weekend!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the house worked out well for our stay. Beds were comfortable and all the bathrooms helped with everyone getting ready. Wi-Fi is slow, parking is extremely tight, and the road to the house is absolutely horrible.

Nice house with a few problems

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home looked nice and overall was pretty comfortable. There were a few issues though. 1) There was a terrible ant problem, I would walk around the ground floor and kill about 7-8 black ants, then 30 minutes later have to do it again. 2) There were a ton of crickets in the house on the basement level. Multiple guests had crickets jump on them while they were sleeping. 3) The airflow if the goose was pretty extreme, meaning the basement was freezing cold, but the 2nd floor was very warm, made it hard to sleep at night. 4) The carpet really needs washing. Everyone's feet would get black after walking around on the carpet.

Fir Shore 2017 Review

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had a wonderful time staying at the Fit Shore property while vacationing at Deep Creek. The house was clean and in excellent condition and the Taylor Made staff members were friendly and provided great sevice throughout our stay. We had 13 people in our group (4 separate families) and the accommodations were comfortable for all. This property has a hot tub and pool table, both of which were a big hit for everyone. Thank you Taylor Made for a great vacation. This was our first time at Deep Creek and we will definitely be back and stay in a Taylor Made property.
