Located in the heart of Amish Country, this peaceful, country cabin is located on a small farm between Killbuck and Glenmont, Ohio. The retreat is surrounded by 30 wooded acres complete with nearly 2 miles of hiking trails. Located on the edge of the property, this cabin provides privacy and the chance to take a break from life's hectic pace and challenges! Guests have reflected that the peace and quiet of being "unplugged" actually allows them to "digitally detox," to hear their own thoughts, and reconnect with themselves and each other!!

This delightful cabin boasts 1 bedroom plus a loft, 2 bathrooms, and cozy living areas for you to relax in. When not exploring the trails, relaxing around the firepit, soaking in the hot tub, or out shopping/dining, you may enjoy cooking in the quaint kitchen or unwinding in front of the fireplace or soaking in the peaceful surroundings on the deck overlooking the native forest in all its majesty. While here, take time to breathe deeply of God's fresh, country air and relish the opportunity to unplug yourself and loved ones while staying at Ethan's Retreat.

--THE RETREAT--
The perfect place to get back to nature, find peace and serenity, and make memories that will last forever!

Cabin: 1,200 Sq. Ft. | NO stairs required to access cabin front door, limited cell service, parking in front.

Bedroom: Queen Bed | Loft: Queen Bed with attached Bathroom: Toilet & Shower | Downstairs Bathroom: Toilet and tub/shower | Living Room: Sleeper Sofa

OUTDOOR:
A five-person spa sits on its own deck under the canopy of trees, outdoor seating on back deck, fire pit (wood provided), nearly 2 miles of hiking paths in the woods.

KITCHEN:
The fully outfitted kitchen includes cooking utensils, pots, pans, silverware, dishes, Keurig coffeemaker, traditional drip coffeemaker, microwave, fridge, stove and oven. There is a gas BBQ on the deck outside the kitchen, which overlooks the wooded valley. A dining room table with seating for 4 is also included.

LIVING AREA:
The living room features a gas fireplace and a new 32" HDTV and Blu Ray DVD player with a growing video library. Because of all the trees in this beautiful secluded wooded area, Cable TV and Satellite Dish systems are not accessible or available at this time. Please be sure to bring your own favorite DVDs to enjoy during your stay, as well.

LOCATION:
Close proximity to all Holmes County and Amish Country attractions, including Wilson's Country Creations, French Ridge Winery, and the Holmes County Trail and Rails-to-Trails.

POLICIES:
Pets welcome for an additional charge of $10/night, maximum $50/pet/stay.

Our dog loved it! There was a bed for her by the fireplace and extra pet supplies if needed. The hot tub was super clean and very relaxing. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. We had a wonderful weekend!

I did not use the hot tub but the cabin was quaint and cozy. Very clean and loved sitting on the deck watching the squirrels and visited by deer. My dog was living his best life runnimg the trails. If you are lookimg for a little piece of Heaven then visit. You wont be sorry.

This is my second stay in Ethan's retreat a love this little cabin in the woods. Relaxing and quiet. The dogs love the freedom. It's peaceful to seat on the porch and Amish isn't far away. We'll be back!

Family Getaway

Ethanā€™s retreat is a country setting thatā€™s great for family time and relaxation. We had a wonderful time ! Property is clean and comfortable. My only negative would be that the couch is very low to the ground and has staples on the back cover to keep the fabric from coming loose. For the price I think an upgrade is needed . Iā€™m only mentioning because I recently had knee replacement surgery and it would be difficult for an older person to get up. Despite the couch, we would definitely return ! Our grand littles had a blast ! We had hot tub time, had breakfast at the picnic table with farm fresh eggs and Amish bread and bacon, played games, made a fairy garden and bee bath. Walked the trail and had some delightful family time ! Plenty of wildlife to enjoy and a great location for star gazing !

Cozy hidden gem

I have not stayed somewhere so beautiful in a long time. The surrounding woods are vast and lovely. It was snowy during our trip and everything was picturesque. The cabin was bright clean and warm. Everything was comfortable. The hot tub on a snowy evening is memorable. I would love to visit again in the summer. My dogs LOVED it! Such a peaceful trip! THANK YOU!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here. Cabin was clean and had all the amenities we needed besides food. Hot tub was squeaky clean and a fantastic addition to the experience in these chilly months. The owners were kind, courteous, and prompt with answering any questions we had. Cell phone service was limited but enough to send out calls/text if needed, just no social media (which is what we wanted!). Definitely looking for ways to return in the warmer months to explore the trails out back.

Long Weekend Getaway

The listing is absolutely spot on, wonderful cabin, fireplace was wonderful and the hot tub, plus the linens were great as well as the kitchen amenities, A mint on the pillows was a nice touch, so were the fresh eggs. The TV and Blu-ray plaver along with the selection of movies was very nice. Our weekend getaway alone was perfect here, and the dogs loved laying in front of the fireplace and playing with the toys. We will definately be back!!! Thank you!!!!

What a peaceful treat!

We come to Mohican every year to relax for a few days, do some hiking, bask in the peace, and hit that big red reset button. This was our first time at Ethanā€™s Retreat, but will hopefully not be the last! Being able to include our fur-babe in our trip was the cherry on top of this phenomenal stay. Clean, quiet, adorable, and so comfy! Would love to stay in the winter. I bet itā€™s like a wonderland!

So Cozy!!!

This cabin is cute, clean, well-stocked, and 100% pet friendly. Both my partner and I enjoyed the cabin thoroughly, but I think our dogs liked it even more! I would highly recommend this place and I hope to come stay again!

Relaxing

Ethans Retreat is very comfortable and a great place to relax. It is off the beaten path and the view of nature is beautiful. Very nice new hot tub and great fireplace! We had a great time!
