In 2025, a portion of all bookings will donated to local youth hockey.
The building has a long history as The General Glass Company, but the owners purchased the building to specifically create the Portage Centre. The Portage Centre is a fully remodeled 3 bed/3 bath luxury home. The guest area consists of the entire 1750 sf main floor while the basement was retained by the owner for storage, a caretaker apartment and is inaccessible to guests. While staying at The Portage Centre, guests do not share spaces or amenities with anyone else.
Guests are provided access to the entire apartment.
I may or may not be available during your stay, but we have a property manager that lives in the area, and is available.

While staying at The Portage Centre, guests do not share spaces or amenities with anyone else. The property is located along Hancock Street (US41) and is in the middle of everything. If you are a light sleeper there is a chance the traffic noise could wake you in the front bedroom. The Master bedroom is located in the rear of the building and traffic will not affect most sleepers. That said, we are in the middle of everything and you can walk to most everything in downtown Houghton and Hancock!
