THIS IS IT! A fabulous location for game day! This 2400 sq ft, newly remodeled home is located right next to KU campus with LOTS of FREE parking. About a 10 minute walk to Allen Field House! Close to dorms, perfect for visiting your college student, or touring the campus. Four “themed” bedrooms. Two fun living spaces decked out with Kansas City themed decor, perfect for that super fan! Large yard for hanging out, playing games or sitting around the fire pit.
Please note we are licensed with the city of Lawrence. And we strive to adhere to the short term rules . We aim to host families visiting this area, providing service for our guests as well as our community. Please follow house rules as we enforce them strictly.

Our driveway allows for at least 8 cars. We would prefer that you and any visiting guest, utilize the driveway and leave the. Street parking open.

What a special stay! We were a family of 4(2 Jayhawks!) 1 set of Grandparents - with 4 bedrooms everyone had a special room to enjoy! The decor throughout the house is thoughtful and well done.The host was quick to respond to the couple of questions we had. The house has a stocked kitchen - the special touches of oatmeal and coffee beans were much appreciated!Being across the street from KU allowed our students to be with us alot of the time AND let them be on campus easily when they needed to be.Definitely going in our favorite spots to rent at KU list!

Great location- super close to everything. House was clean and had all the amenities you could want. Gourmet coffee bar. Fire pit was awesome. The boys loved the basement ping pong and games. Highly recommend this place.

This was the perfect house for myself and three friends back in town for the football game. Location was perfect, great layout and tons of extras to help make the stay feel like home. Gayle was easy to communicate with. Will def be returning!

Exceptional Property and Stay

This is quite simply an exceptional property and host. Everything is as advertised and this is a great place for a weekend in Lawrence. There is plenty of space for four people. There are indeed four *actual* bedrooms and a nice kitchen area. The back yard is huge, with a firepit and firewood, with rocking chairs. Had we not come to town for a KU basketball game, we would have been content to sit by the fire all weekend, catching up and spending time together. There was also room to do that inside, either in the kitchen at the table or in the family room. Best part: I could sit on the sofa in the family room and see Allen Fieldhouse and Mount Oread through the picture window. Our college-age kids loved the basement game room, watching sports on the TV as they played shuffleboard and ping pong.It'd be very easy to walk not just to the Fieldhouse, but also to campus from the property. Although 23rd Street and its restaurants/Dillon's are no more than 5 minutes away, and even though 19th Street separates the property from campus, it's a quiet and nice neighborhood. Parking is never an issue. Thought has been put into everything. The hosts even had to-go cups for coffee! But that's emblematic of Gayle's concierge-level hosting. We were never wanting for anything and she communicated with us promptly. I recommend this property without hesitation, especially for a basketball or football weekend in Lawrence.

Family Get Together

This was a great place for our family to stay. Main floor had 3 bedrooms which was great for the grandparents who have problems with stairs. The kitchen and main living room fit the 7 of us perfectly. Downstairs was perfect for the boys (22 & 24) when they wanted to get away from the adults. The house location was centrally located to everything we wanted to do. We weren’t there for anything at KU, but we were so close it would be easy to get to campus.

Dec graduation weekend

This is one of the best vrbo we have ever stayed in anywhere! Gayle is amazing- the communication from the beginning was wonderful and helpful. The house had everything we needed and more! There were thoughtful touches throughout that welcomed us and made the stay special and extra nice! It was a perfect stay for a very special graduation weekend!

Friends 50th Birthday Visit

We had an amazing time at Gayle's place in Lawrence. It was a quick walk to Allen Fieldhouse for the KU / UNC basketball game which made the house very convenient for our primary event of the weekend. The house was also a great place to unwind and relax before and after the game. Overall an amazing experience!

Great house

What a great house! The house has a little something for everyone with nice seating areas, fun games and totally renovated/outdated throughout the house. The owners take great pride in the property and took care of all the little details (like chocolates on bedside tables) that made it special. The owners did a great job communicating both before and during our stay. We will definitely be coming back again!!

Perfect stay

Great location and close to campus. Wonderful home and great for a large family or multiple families. The backyard and basement are wonderful additions to an amazing home. Too many amenities to list, nothing was missing. Host was easy to contact and very responsive. Highly recommend !

Best experience ever with Vrbo property

What an amazing stay we had at this property. The host were extremely nice and professional. Beds were comfortable. Entire house was very clean and its location was superb. When we rent again in Lawrence, we Will definitely select this property. I highly recommend everything about this VRBO Offering. Oh, and by the way, there is a fire pit, TV and music in the back yard.

Fabulous property.

This property is wonderful. Gayle has thought of everything and is a wonderful host. The house is clean and offers plenty of dishes, glassware, cooking necessities (if you are so inclined), games for inside and out... truly everything you need to relax and enjoy the reason for your visit to Lawrence. If I need to travel to Lawrence again, I may even try to plan my travel dates on availability of this home! It's absolutely perfect.

Great Family Gathering!

Our family LOVED relaxing together, with 4 generations all in one spot! This home had accommodations for our parents, our grown children, and infant grandson. The main floor has 1 step entry, a baby gate, and space for everyone. The basement is amazing with games galore and was a favorite place to hang out. We enjoyed the backyard firepit in the evenings and mornings. Beautiful decor and well stocked! We will stay here again! #RockChalkJayhawk #KCChiefs

Great Cozy Home

We stayed while watching baseball at KU and it is a short walk to field. Great home very well redone and awesome hosts. Had a small family get together and offers good area inside and out to hang out. Would stay here again for sure!

This house is set up with everything you need to enjoy a weekend away! Clean and the beds are so comfortable. Great location for a KU basketball game. We came up for a Mom’s weekend and our sons loved hanging at the house with us! Gayle was very helpful and responsive. The fire pit is awesome to hang out around! None of us wanted to leave!

Perfect location and Everything you need

Place was awesome for our family or 4 meeting my brother’s family. Everything was as described and we wanted for nothing. Gayle was proactive, responsive and prompt. Yard was HUGE and we enjoyed the fire pit, ping pong and shuffleboard. Great weekend for a family meet up.

Father/Son weekend 2024

This home was immaculate and exceeded expectations. A perfect 10! Very relaxing, plenty of space, close to campus and tons of amenities. The host was very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I highly recommend this beautiful home if you are looking to stay together as a group in Lawrence. 5+++ stars!!!

After living in Colorado, for several years, we have moved back to our home base in Kansas. We have been married for almost 30 years and have 3 grown children. We live here in the house, when it is not rented. My husband, Jon works for the railroad. I have worked in hospitality for many years. My full-time job now is managing and taking care of our property.

We fell in love with Lawrence after our daughter graduated from KU. We enjoy sharing this city with our guests, with all the local artist, musicians and a large variety of restaurants and shopping. It has a small town feel with a unique “hip vibe” for the area of Kansas City. We love introducing people to our community and seeing them appreciate why we live here.

We are the closest short term rental location next to Allen Fieldhouse. Free Parking,! Just park in the driveway and walk to the basketball game. Also, we are constantly improving our property to make it as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.
