Amazing location with everything we needed! We wanted a place with a great view with the hopes of seeing whales, and this place delivered - orcas, minke whales, and even a bear from the front porch! Not to mention bald eagles flying around all the time! Marc was so quick to respond to any messages, and the cottage was clean and well maintained! Would love to come back to Alder Bay someday!

Wonderful place to stay

Beautiful quiet setting on waterfront with a deck and gazebo to watch boats go by and to look for whales. The home was clean and comfortable, and had all amenities we needed. There is a fire pit too (we didn't use it) with a water view. Home works for two adults /- 2 children, as sofa bed wasn't too comfortable for an adult. The marina is close for boating, but grove of trees inbetween it and home provide privacy.

North island stay

My husband and I are visiting from Florida and touring Vancouver Island over 3 weeks. We stayed in this cabin for 3 nights, visited Telegraph Cove, San Josef Bay, and Port McNeill. The cabin was the perfect location for all our adventures, cozy and clean with the most amazing view from the back porch. The kitchen was well equipped and communication with the owner was easy.
