With beautiful lake and mountain views, this spacious 4 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom lakeside home offers the best of both worlds! A peaceful setting 5 minutes from downtown Hiawassee. This well-appointed lake home sits on a double lot point with a gentle slope to the dock. Inside the home, there are four bedrooms each with its own bathroom. Spread out and relax in the spacious family room or on the large deck overlooking the lake. The deck is set for grilling and outdoor dining. Fully stocked house with everything you'll need for your trip! There are plenty of inside activities to enjoy in the basement game room with foosball, pop-a-shot basketball, ping-pong as well as a sitting area. Books and boardgames galore in the living room. Fully stocked kitchen with walk-in pantry.

What an awesome and unique house! We have stayed at many houses on Chatuge and this was a favorite for sure. The views are amazing and the house has so much cool charm. It is well stocked, has plenty of room and was perfect for two families! We had an unpreventable issue with the dock when we first arrived and the owners were very responsive and quick to have it resolved. We absolutely hope to return!

Thanksgiving

Beautiful home on the lake! Amazing views from just about all rooms. Especially liked that each bedroom had their own bathrooms. We had lots of fun playing ping pong and basketball in the basement and building a nice fire in the evening for s’mores. The owners are quick to respond and accommodating. You’re going to love this place.

Perfect stay for myself and friends! This location cannot be any better. This was our second visit and it was just as great as the first. Highly recommend this home.

Great house with great views!

Our family had a wonderful experience. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and a fantastic game room with ping pong, and Foosball. Everyone was impressed with the rooms (lots of space and great bathroom features). The views from the deck were icing on the cake to help my wife celebrate her 40th birthday. I cannot make a stronger recommendation if you are staying in the area.

Family Lake Time

The house was amazing. Rooms were very spacious and all beds were comfortable. The view of the lake from the two bedrooms, kitchen and living room was spectacular. Nice quiet location on the lake. The downstairs play area was wonderful for kids (and adults)on rainy days. We especially enjoyed sitting on back deck enjoying the view of the lake and mountains. Would definitely stay here again.

Family weekend

The house and area were just perfect for our weekend gathering. The house was very comfortable and we loved all the porches. There were a couple of sit-upon kayaks and floats and vests that we made good use of. The house has large windows which really brought the outdoors inside, and the view was lovely. With small children we also loved that the house wasn’t located on a steep hill above the lake but had a more gentle slope which was easy to walk (though the driveway was a bit of a challenge). Overall, the property was a big hit with our grown children and the two grands.

Perfection!!!

This home was amazing from the moment we opened the door. The bedrooms were comfortable for each of us on our girls trip. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The house is well stocked for everything you will need. We spent mornings sipping coffee on the deck and watching the amazing sunrise. We have already booked our stay for next year. We loved our stay and look forward to next year.

Amazing House on the Lake

This vacation home was great. It was supplied with everything we needed. It was clean, large and you can't get better views. We are early risers and the sunrises were breath taking. One morning, with fog rising up off of the lake, as the sun crested over the mountains, it turned the air a blazing yellow/gold. I'd never seen a sunrise like that. The full moon reflecting off the lake was beautiful as well. Long story short, this home is amazing.

This rental was one of the best- clean, beautiful bathrooms, updated, comfortable beds, amazing views, spacious…I could go on. Our group had a blast at this spot and can’t wait to come back! A small slice of heaven.

Amazing place!

This was an amazing place to stay for our family vacation! Beautiful views, right on the lake, spacious, and the list goes on! The property owner, Ed, was amazing as well. Very responsive! The day we arrived was my husband’s 50th birthday so Ed even picked up the cake and balloons and had them at the house when we arrived. Can’t thank him enough!

Family time at the lake!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home. The house is fabulous! We loved the views from the kitchen window. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking! The beds were so comfortable. The walk down to the water is super easy. Their cove is near the end of the lake so nice and peaceful. The house is very private. It was a fantastic home to rent!!

Magical Stay!

Words are not enough to describe how amazing this property is - it’s definitely magical. The location is perfect, the views are incredible. Dock was great to swim off of and the firepit is near the water and was a great way to wind down. Kitchen was stocked as described, plenty of towels for bathing - we did bring some of our own beach towels. There are some there. Only thing to note is I wish there were more lounging chairs for outside! Plenty of seats for eating. Already looking at booing for next year!

Father’s Day Getaway

We had an amazing stay at this spacious and well appointed lake house. The views of the lake and mountains from almost every room in the house are incredible. You feel secluded with the double lot, did not see a neighbor the entire trip. We grilled and ate on the large new back deck every evening. I kept my small bass boat at the dock with no issues, just remember to bring boat bumpers, can get some large waves on the dock from boats that use the cove for tubing, wave boarding, etc..Ed was great communicator, very cordial, great to work with. I would definitely stay at this property again.

Beautiful Lake House.

Perfect Vacation Spot: The house is located right on the lake, offering beautiful views and a large deck. We thoroughly enjoyed fishing, swimming, and kayaking during our stay. It's definitely a place we would love to revisit.

Amazing lake view stay

The property was exactly as advertised. The amenities were great, kitchen was stocked with anything we could possibly have needed, and the kids had a blast with the extra amenities in the basement. Our only regret is not being able to really enjoy the lake, as it reached freezing most nights we stayed. We hope to return when we can enjoy the water as well!

Growing up in a quiet mountain rural town in Pennsylvania with one traffic light, I moved to Atlanta twenty years ago. Needless to say, I missed the mountains. They kept calling and we found Lake Chatuge and Hiawassee. Every time I make the drive from Atlanta, I feel a calmness set in as I get closer to the lake. It's a magical place where I love to spend time with family and friends. Whether it's drinking a cup of coffee early morning sitting by the lake, boating, or hiking one of the many mountain trails in the area, Hiawassee is an amazing place to unwind and soak in life.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

We love this property for several reasons. Sitting on a gently sloped double lot on a point at the south side of the lake with incredible mountain views, it's easy to come and go to the lake without climbing a bunch of stairs. It was built in 1984 with lots of thought put into the floorplan with each of the four bedrooms having its own bathroom, which is ideal when sharing with guests. We've made some updates since the 80s, but we tried to do it in a way to keep its original charm. Even on rainy days, our kids never get bored since the house is stocked with boardgames, books, and a large basement recently converted to a game room.
