Beautiful house and view

This house is immaculate and very comfortable. The view from the deck was amazing, very peaceful and quiet! We rented to visit family in the area but we felt like we got a nice vacation out of it. The owners were very responsive. We’re keeping it in mind for future visits!

Girls weekend

We had a fabulous time! Such a cute house and perfect for a low key girls weekend. The owners were very sweet and easy to contact. I would highly recommend for adults.

THE VIEW!

If you want a beautiful view--this is IT! Four adults were in our party. Even though the online ad says it has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, only one is en suite. In fact, one of the bathrooms is in the lower level away from the rest of the living quarters. The house appears to be newly renovated and is nicely done. There is a dangerous area adjacent to the parking pad--open access to a deep trench area. The access to the lake and the dock is very tricky--steep and no path or stairs. The dishes and glasses are sparse. Only 2 wine glasses and 1 beer glass. Not a good place for little children. But THE VIEW, THE VIEW!!!

Lakeside respite

My daughter and I stayed at this beautiful lakeside property for a long weekend while attending a wedding. The owners were awesome to work with and they have created such a lovely place to sit back and relax. I’m hopeful that I can return in the future and have more time to explore the surrounding area. We brought our own food and enjoyed sitting outside for our meals. It was a perfect escape. Most restaurants and grocery stores are a bit of a drive. DoorDash delivers:) The property is exactly as listed, but the backyard is VERY steep for access to the lake.

Weekend getaway

We attended a wedding in Hickory and booked the lake house for 6 adults. The house is lovely and has plenty of space for everyone. The view of the lake from the deck is beautiful. The house is nicely appointed with comfortable furniture and mattresses. With two family rooms with large TVS, everyone had space to spread out and enjoy time together. We rented a boat of Sunday and enjoyed the lake. The house has a very nice dock and plenty of floating toys and lifejackets to enjoy an afternoon on the water with our without having a boat. Note that the house is on a steep hill, so the walk down to the dock could be challenging for some. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Home with Amazing Views!

This beautiful place on Lake Hickory is such a gem! I can’t recommend enough and the hospitality provided by John and Erin was superb. They answered all our questions while we were here and our stay was just so enjoyable. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved the lake house in Hickory. The views were beautiful and the home was amazing! Well organized and stocked with all the essentials. Our host Erin was great to work with. We would definitely stay again!

Canadians in North Carolina

We had a fabulous stay! As we searched for a great house option for our family this home stood out online and it did not disappoint in person! We had everything we needed. We were thrilled to be on the lake and swam a number of days & nights! As a group of Canadians the weather was very warm for the end of September and we were thrilled to cool off in the lake. On the deck early mornings watching the sunrise or late at night with the fire table, it was incredible. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had. We will definitely look to book again when we visit Hickory in the future!

Great lake stay

John and Erin were easy to communicate with when necessary. The house was clean, updated and great for multiple entertainment areas. Like other reviews have stated, the walk down to the dock/lake was steep so take it slow. We ran into two issues, which we dealt with. The outside trash was full on arrival (Monday is trash day, but the trash had not been put to the curb). It wasn't a big deal, but we were there a week with 6 people so the trash did overflow. We didn't have many trash bags or paper towels to start with so we ran out mid stay. Thankfully, Walmart isn't far. What would've been cool was access to fishing accessories like poles and a sharp knife. Being on the lake we wanted to fish, but had to pick up everything. We did catch a catfish (which we ate for dinner) and 4 crappies right off the dock. We also rented a pontoon for the day at the nearby marina, so that was a lot of fun. Everyone in our group stated we would definitely stay again.

Lake house

We enjoyed everything about our stay at the lake. We brought our boat and had an amazing time on Lake Hickory. The house was beautiful and very well equipped. I would definitely let any prospective client know that access to the lake is very difficult. The hill is steep and without stairs. Absolutely not a problem for kids and healthy adults, but the water is not accessible for any individual unable to climb a steep hill.

Love Lake Hickory

Cannot thank the Wise’s enough for a great week on Lake Hickory. Neighborhood is lakeside and the house is as advertised. Recently renovated, with 3 levels of space to lounge! We loved the deck and fire pit as we relaxed watching the lake activity. Lakeside Marina (just down the lake) was a great spot to rent a boat and the adult kids became wake-board experts. Check out the sand bar restaurant! Golf is close by also. Short day trip drive to Blowing Rock, Boone or Grandfather Mountain. We’ll be back!!

Family History

My sisters, husband and I traveled to Hickory with our elderly parents to explore the place my mother grew up. We needed a comfortable home close to downtown Hickory and this home did not disappoint. Beautiful views, quiet neighborhood and an absolutely lovely home! Highly recommend!

Wonderful getaway

This is one of the best rentals I have ever stayed in. The owners were so pleasant to communicate with and the view was amazing. The owners have supplied this rental with everything you could need to enjoy a relaxing vacation. It was also a very clean unit and plenty of linens were available for our use. I would highly recommend renting this property.

Great for a weekend getaway

This is a beautiful, newly redone and clean property, with gorgeous views of Lake Hickory. The neighborhood / lake is quiet and was perfect for a quick overnight trip with a group of friends.
