Our overall experience is satisfactory. Everything was well thought of. We were provided with necessities. And lastly the surrounding areas to the property were at a short distance which is a plus.

Very bad experience

Went on vacation with my family. Went to use washing machine and in the middle of wash the door opened and shot 25 gallons of water all onto the floor and threw out the house tried to get in contact with owner and got no response till hours later so not only did we have to clean it up but we had to use our towels to clean up when we asked owner how we would wash towels and our clothes his response was there is a laundry room down the road he offered no help at all on top of that when me and my family were hanging out on the up stairs deck there was rats running around all on the roof was worst vacation ever was very disappointed that vrbo had owners like this on their site

I offer to send out cleaner to clean the water damages. the water damage to house is very extensive, no homeowners will not care damages to house damages.

Water, Buckets, Bowls Towels & Mops

"Unfortunately house has leaky water condition", text from Host. The home could be nice but needs a lot of TLC to start with roof and appliance repairs. Upon arriving we found water pouring into dining room area from the heavy rains. We moved furniture, used a shop vac, buckets, bowls and towels to maintain the water during our stay. There was a large note on the laundry washer, "Broken do not use". (Not disclosed to us prior to arrival.) One towel per guest, water pouring into the house, and no washer, we contacted the owners, advised of the issues (which they verified they were aware of) and requested more towels. They did come and unlock more towels that day. Our family gathered from 4 different states and needed all the bedrooms so we were a bit stuck and made the best of it.(We will laugh about the house in Port Isabel for years to come.) The owners were kind and responsive to our text but our past experiences renting a vacation home, (close to a dozen times), its been maintained and everything was working. This place needs A LOT OF WORK, and is not somewhere your family wants to spend their vacation, pick another.

Hi Jill, thank you reviewing we will address those issues and washer. Unfortunately, yes, house got a few issues, just before your arrival, previews other reservation stayed. Past guests claimed That "the washer door opened during run". The house kitchen area did flood everywhere inside because of the Washer door. It was flooded. And we had to recover entire house, clean, dry and we did used a lot of towels that entire a month of worth was provided and used on past guests. So that the reason such short on towels and we were able to provide more towel on your stay. Anyway, before your arriving such short time we had to clean flooded house recover and ready for your reservation's, we work hard to make your reservation comfortable not effect by flood inside during your calendrer stay. And during your stay that the weather on Port Isabel was raining pouring down on 3 days. I am very sorry all the cause. Thank you very much and please have a very good charismas and happy new year.
