Enchanting Mountain Get-a-Way, 3 Bedroom/3 Bath

Our mountain home is just a short distance to the ski slopes, world class Golfing, family dining, fishing, paddle boating/kayaking, hiking and horseback riding. With privacy greenbelt all around, guests can relax after a day of activities. The upstairs bedroom with king bed, bunks, futon and bath is perfect for the youngsters to play games or watch big screen TV/DVD while the adults wind down in the large open living, dining and kitchen area. Your family can enjoy their time together around the large round table for dining, table games and re-capturing the days events. While relaxing on the outer deck you will enjoy all types of wildlife large and small. Morning coffee/tea is wonderful on the large covered front deck. The night sky is one to capture for a lifetime.


The main living area has wood fire place, big screen TV/DVD, fully equipped kitchen, large dining table and hutch equipped with family games and decks of cards. Downstairs bedroom with queen bed, walk-in closet and separate bath, master suite has king bed and bath with large closets. Full laundry room off kitchen. Large covered deck on the front of the house and open deck for viewing on the back of the house.

Great house, but got trapped by snow storm

The home was great, had plenty of room, and had all we needed. The only complaint (and this is outside the owner's control) was that it snowed 12 inches on our third night and because the home is located in a residential area a little outside of town, the snow plows did not come to clear the road until after 3:00pm. We were trapped in the house on the third and final day of our vacation and could not go skiing or otherwise leave the house. We attempted to, but the snow covered the road and our 4-wheel drive truck went off the road and got stuck in a ditch (this is a much longer story but I will not bore you with details). We had friends staying in a home in town and the snow plows came to that area first thing in the morning. So, just know that this area is apparently a low priority for snow plowing and you could get stuck inside the house during your vacation if a snow storm blows in. Again, this is no fault of the owner.

First Family Ski Trip

This is a great property to stay at while visiting Angel Fire. Lots of open spaces outside the cabin to explore without needing to get in your car. Conveniently located close to ski resort and the town. We loved our stay and will plan to stay here again.

We had a great stay at the Haydock house – the house is very cozy and warm. Perfect for teenagers and children. Our favorite part was the deer in the morning off the deck - the wooded scenery of this property is like no other that we’ve ever stayed at - this is our third year coming to Angelfire. The kitchen is very well-stocked for making breakfast lunch and dinner. Because of Covid we did not plan to eat out. Thank you!

Nice loft! Great living area and kitchen!

Three families from our church stayed here over the weekend. Nice place to stay, descriptions in other reviews were accurate and the house was a nice place to stay, great location, and the snow was great for skiing this weekend!

plenty of room for a family of 8 but TV didn’t work.

Overall a fairly positive experience. Living room TV was going out. Picture so blurry and color was completely green. Couldn’t even watch it, so we spent TV time upstairs. Numerous calls to management company went unanswered. Never did get anyone to answer the phone. That was my main complaint. Area was pretty and watching all the deer come up to the back porch was neat. Snow was awesome!

Angel Fire is a wonderful place to visit. Great family things to do. This yr we did not have the snow but we went hiking, sightseeing, swimming & to the brewery. My husband is 76 & summit Wheeler. The Angel Fire sunsets are beautiful; a must see experience. The food at the restaurants were good & all the staff are great. Most fun at the hotel restaurant & bar. The work out area at the club house is clean & they have a lot of different equipment. The ladies area is beautiful too. The pool is a good size & I like that they have special time for children to swim & adult swim. Angel Fire is a special city.

Perfect place for a large family to stay!

Perfect Vacation home

We have visited Angel Fire NM on several occasions and this time we chose the perfect vacation home!! This home was so perfect for 2 families. We had so much room and having the room upstairs for the kiddos to all hang out was awesome! Everything you need this home is equipped with. The fire place kept the house nice and warm. We loved having the large round table to sit down and eat and also to play family games. We did all our cooking and had more than enough cookware and utensils. Our kids are all college age and loved sledding down the driveway and making snowman in the yard. Lots of room in the back yard for snowball fights!!! We will definitely rent this vacation home again!!!

This is the Place to stay in Angel Fire!!

This is the second time we have stayed at the Enchanting Mountain Get-a-Way. Once in December of 2015 and our last stay was in August of 2016. Both times were great. Lots of room with the three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The living space consisting of the den, dinning and kitchen was very roomy. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed for preparing any meals one would like to make. Very quite neighborhood and a great view out front and back. We had eight staying in December and six in August and we had plenty room in the house even when we had additional quests over to visit and eat. If you are looking for a wonderful place to stay in Angel Fire, book this one. The owners are great to work with as well as the caretakers of the property. Kiekes, Breckenridge, Texas

Caught 8 trout!

Been coming out here for years. Well LOVE Angel Fire so much that this summer we bought land out here. We now have much more exclusive access to the resort. I look forward for months in advance to coming out to Angel Fire and I'm always planning my next trip on the way home. Lastly we caught 8 trout this trip in Monte Verde Lake.

Great winter vacation!

We spent almost 10 days in Angel Fire and we enjoyed the stay in the house. It has 3 bedrooms and big kitchen. When we arrived late at night, house was warm and clean and ready for us to stay. We love to ski so the location of the house is perfect if you want to hit the slopes. The Back yard is beautiful, every morning we had visitors there - elks, it was exciting!!! Kids had fun sledding on the drive way :-) This house has up to 5 sleds in the garage. I highly recommend this place for everyone with kids! We had a great time, thank you!

Wonderful vacation get away

We found our stay at this beautiful home one of the most relaxing times that we have had. The home is spacious with a beautiful view from the front porch deck to the back yard deck. The cool evenings were perfect for building a fire in the fireplace, the kitchen was perfectly set up with everything needed to entertain and everything from furnishings to linens were in wonderful condition and set up perfectly ready to enjoy. It is conveniently located near Taos and Red River and the ski slopes. We would recommend this beautiful property to anyone who is wanting to get away for a summer or winter vacation.

My First vacation in 13 years...

Angel Fire had been described to me to be as one of the best little vacation spots for year round beauty. After visiting and staying for a week, I concur! This property sits on a large lot that has the protected Green Belt running through the back yard, plenty of towering trees that invite all kinds of birds, deer, elk, and squirrels, and all the serenity and peacefulness that you can imagine. The house is just up the hill and behind a gorgeous world class golf course, a 5 minute drive from a fully stocked private fishing lake, and 3 minutes from the ski lifts that will take you up the mountain for a hike down in the summer and spring, or shooshing down the snow in the winter time. The house itself, is awesome. Two story's with 3 large bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and enough sleeping arrangements to comfortably sleep 14 people. A massive, open floor plan kitchen to cook and gather the family and friends in, a large living room with an inviting wood burning fireplace to keep you warm on the chilly mornings, and brand new front porch/deck to enjoy your coffee on. No matter which window you gaze out of, there will be plenty of nature to be seen. In all, after a 13 year vacation hiatus, I don't think I could have chosen a more majestic and relaxing location to unwind in. My experience was beyond my imaginations and I do believe I will be going back in a few months to see what experiences it has to offer in the winter time. This will definitely become a family vacation tradition for years to come.

Our family has vacationed in the Enchanted Circle since the early 1960's. We have always loved this area which includes: golfing, fishing, hiking, skiing, and the relaxing atmosphere of Angel Fire.

Ground level entry with 2 car attached garage. We have just recently remodeled the inside and out adding spacious decks, with front deck covered. Spacious "greenbelt" area behind house.
