We are glad you found the property's proximity to downtown convenient for your sightseeing and adventures. It is a great location! The city is working on the redevelopment of the downtown neighborhoods and unfortunately progress takes time. In the meantime it is a very safe and secure neighborhood. We are disappointed to learn housekeeping did not leave enough toilet paper for your group over the duration of your stay and will most definitely talk with them about this and take corrective action. We will also have maintenance look into the AC units. There are three mini-splits in the home so we will investigate which one you thought wasn't cooling properly. We do have ongoing pest control and are sad to hear you experienced sugar ants. They are very attracted to food left on the counters in South Texas. Even with our diligent pest control, we do have guests that report them every now and then. We will continue to address this. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the prime location and the home itself. Thank you for taking the time to write your review Thomas. I am wondering if you stayed at the right property? A/C mini-splits are working and are regularly serviced. There is a BBQ grill on the porch, there is a fire pit along the fence in the parking area, there is a community pool in the nearby park that has been there for years, there never was a backyard. There are two fenced, gated side yards, and of course the front yard. Yard service maintains yards once per month. Sorry to hear you did not see these things. Manager did respond to your message and was rebuffed. Safe travels to you and yours!

This is an interesting review Jean, considering you continued extending your stay for almost a month and wanted to sign a one year lease. We have the same housekeeper for six years and she always earns top stars for cleanliness. Guest satisfaction is our top priority. We also have a regular yard service that comes every two weeks and he was there during your stay. I am sad and disappointed you felt you wanted to leave such a review. I did everything possible to accommodate your continued reservation extension requests. I know another guest made a reservation in the middle of July and you were upset I hadn’t blocked the place for you, however I had explained to you that you were at risk if you didn’t pay for your stay. Reservations are only confirmed once payment is made and I do not block dates for guests without payment. I wish you and yours the best. -Joanna
