Excellent private location at the end of the road in the heart of the York Beach Nubble peninsula. From this sunny corner lot you can hear and smell the ocean. Conveniently located just a short walk from either long or short sand beaches, the Nubble lighthouse, or the famous Dunne's (formerly Brown's) ice cream. Enjoy your days at the beach and in town, then retreat to this quiet setting where the ocean breezes and singing birds greet you on the deck. This home is spacious, clean, tastefully decorated, and well maintained. 2000 square feet of living space provides lots of room for the whole family to come together and yet still gives everyone the ability to seek out their own quiet spot. Expansive private yard with deck, patio, pergola, and firepit is also a great place for kids and adults to enjoy the evenings.

Wonderful rental!

We appreciated the decor and well equipped house. The outdoor seating area under the pergola and smokeless fire pit were enjoyed by all of us.

Great house you couldn't ask for more

This location is very close to Nubble Lighthouse and the beaches. The entire house is beautifully decorated and has a very well equipped kitchen. The back porch is a great place for grilling, having coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. We would definitely recommend this house.

Great Getaway

The house was very comfortable for three couples. Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, plenty of seating, and air conditioning worked well. The house was a bit farther from the beach than we thought, but definitely walkable especially with the rolling cart for chairs and towels. Fun beach town, and lots to do in the area. Owner was very accomodating. Definitely recommend this lovely home.

Amazing Home!!

I stayed for a week this Summer with my family and we loved it! It was big, with lots of room for our family of 10. It felt like home, it was nicely furnished and decorated throughout the house. The beds were so comfortable and clean I absolutely would come back again!! The owners were very nice and always available and responded promptly to any inquiries I had:). It's a great place to stay if your visiting York Beach!!

My favorite York Beach House

This is our second year renting this beautiful home. It was another great experience. All the comforts of home and situated in the best area of YB. I've been vacationing and renting in YB since I was a kid and this is my favorite property without a doubt. Love it!!

So Relaxing!

This home is perfect. It’s spacious, meticulously clean, comfortable and stocked with everything you need for a beach vacation. There is room to spread out but also nice areas to hang out as a group - the deck out back, the kitchen island/stools, the living room. My family cooks quite a bit and the kitchen had everything we needed! The house is on a quiet street but close to Nubble Point, Long Sands Beach, Short Sands Beach and town eating and shopping. This was our second year in this home and we really could not ask for more than this beautiful home!

Fantastic family home in sn idesl locstion

This was our first time staying in this spacious family home located in between Short and Long sands beaches. Ideal to be close walking distance from the Nubble Lighthouse, Dunne's Ice cream and the beaches but have a tranquil location. A very well looked after home, which was clean , modern and welcoming. A large kitchen area with breakfast bar/island to hang out or dinner table for the evening meal.

In a word.....AWESOME!!!!

Beautiful house, great owners. They were very accommodating and didn't get upset when I had to call because of a thunderstorm caused a power outage that resulted in our being locked out of the house. Hope to stay here again.

Perfect house!

This was our 2nd year renting the house. There is nothing bad I can say about this house. It is beautifully decorated, so clean and the perfect amount of space for 10 people. It is on a quiet street but close enough to town/beach to walk. We are already talking about summer 2015 :)

Beautifully furnished and maintained home

Immaculate home, beautifully furnished throughout. The kitchen and dining areas are perfect spaces for family and friends to relax and enjoy catching up over dinner with all the comforts of home you could need and more. It's an easy walk to either short or long sands beaches - perfect vacation spot at York beach!

RENT THIS HOME!

Wonderful vacation home! This scrupulously clean, charmingly decorated home is 2000 square feet of pure delight! The common rooms are large and most inviting and great places for family meals, games, conversation or ----and this is the best part ----cooking lobsters bought from local lobster men. The kitchen table is huge and covered with newspapers at the start of the feast makes for a lightening fast clean up. Ummmm and Brown's ice cream for dessert! In the evening, retreat to the upstairs bedrooms, all air conditioned, they are large, quiet, peaceful, and beautifully furnished, Much care has been taken to make the guests feel at home. There is plenty to do at the close by beaches and town. If you are lucky, you may catch an old fashioned New England concert on the green by the beach. A short drive will take you to Ogunquit, another beach town with shops and restaurants galore. So, if you are planning a New England vacation any time of the year, go to Maine and RENT THIS HOME!

Perfect for a family vacation

This house exceeded our expectations. Rooms are very large. We were 6 adults along with 4 young children and everyone had a lot of space. We loved the kitchen and dining area which is very open and perfect for big family meals. The neighborhood is nice and tranquil, making the short walk to the beach very pleasant. We would recommend this house without hesitation.

An Amazing Week at York Beach

Our family spent an amazing week in York Beach during July of 2014. We have been lucky enough to rent this beautiful home on Fifth Street, which is very close to the Nubble Lighthouse, for the past four years. This home is beautifully maintained on the inside as well as the outside. This rental is a three bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home that has all the comforts and conveniences of home. The air conditioners are very much appreciated on hot days. Over the past two years, the owners have added an island in the kitchen and new wood floors in the downstairs. We appreciate that the house has great natural light and is very clean. We love going to Long Sands Beach, York Wild Kingdom, and browsing around the shops in the downtown area and then returning to this comfortable home. Our favorite times at the house are in the morning and evening. The modern appliances, the well-stocked kitchen, and the grill on the deck make dinner preparations very easy. Our favorite place to enjoy meals is on the very private back deck. The back yard, with Adirondack chairs, is a great place to relax and a wonderful area for kids to play. We have many fantastic memories that have been made at York Beach and in this home. The homeowners are very friendly and it has been a pleasure working with them. We look forward to going back next year and highly recommend this house for families.

Lovely home on the York Nubble

Booking vacation rentals are a blind purchase even with attractive photos and list of appealing amenities. You never know until you step inside exactly what you're getting. In this case, everything stated on the Homeaway listing is exactly as advertised. The home is more like a year-round residence than a vacation rental. It is clean, neat, well-appointed and roomy for 6 adults, 2 toddlers and a 7-month old. The furnishings and decorations are tasteful, the home and surroundings exceptionally private for its location. All in all, a worthwhile choice for those looking for space, all the tools and gadgets you would want (including a drinking glass for every occasion), and a location in a great neighborhood. If you're used to hiking narrow roads with no sidewalk, both beaches can be reachable on foot. However, with little ones in tow we opted for a short drive and parking wherever we could find it. HINT: bring lots of quarters!!

Beautiful property!!!!

Waklng into the house took your breathe away, it was beautifully decorated and very cozy. Polly made sure everything that you need was at arms length.There were ten of us and we had plenty of room to spare.The walk to long sands was a nice walk, Nubble Light and Browns ice cream is right around the corner too. In the future we definetly would rent this home again.

Perfect for a Family!

This rental is perfect for a family! We traveled with two children (4 and 1) and the house was fabulous! It felt like we were right at home. The house was impeccable, spacious, and had everything that we needed. Perfect location- close enough to walk to everything and at the same time, quiet and private. The owners were very easy to communicate with, and very helpful with any questions that we had. We are already talking about next year!

Home Away From Home

First off I would just like to start by saying what a fantastic place! I vacationed here with my two sons for a weekend and it was great. The place is the perfect size to allow the kids room to play and parents room to relax without being on top of each other which is rare with beach rentals at such a reasonable price. This place left nothing to be desired. It was comfy, cozy and had all of the amenities needed to have a relaxing weekend away. My boys now refer to the beach house as OUR house on the beach. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Quiet Rental

As a frequent vacationer to York my family and I were very pleased with this rental. Clean, quiet and relaxing and only a short walk to the beaches/lighthouse. House backs up to woods (which is rare on the Nubble) and is on a corner lot. The well- decorated and immaculate interior does not look or feel like a rental unit. If you want a nice, quiet rental without the insane rental prices you found your rental. We will definitely be back next year!

Fantastic Property!

My family stayed in this home and LOVED it – we felt pampered from the minute we stepped in the door. The furnishings are very nice, it’s clean, and it’s spacious. My two boys appreciated the room to be able to run and tumble inside as well as outside on the lawn and around the house and driveway. Since it’s a dead-end, we felt completely comfortable letting them run around out there. With the windows open, you get a wonderful cross-breeze and there is little need for a/c downstairs (though there is a window unit). We did turn on the window units in the bedrooms upstairs while we slept. The beds are extremely comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked. When we made dinner at the house, we ate out on the deck with the dangling lights turned on which was fun. From the house you smell the ocean breeze. The landscaping was gorgeous, which I appreciated too when setting up my kids for pictures outside! They also have supplies for the beach (chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, etc.). The house made staying in as fun as going out and exploring the area. We could tell the homeowners take great care and pride in their property.

Great Place to Spend a Vacation

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at York Beach. This house is the perfect home away from home. We appreciated all the comforts of home: a well-stocked kitchen, a cozy living room, very comfortable beds, a washer and dryer, and cable TV to watch the Red Sox games! We enjoyed dinners on the back deck and the kids were able to play in a very private back yard. During our stay at York Beach, the kids spent a great deal of time playing in the sand at Long Sands Beach, they visited the zoo and amusement park in downtown York. Brown's ice cream and the Nubble Lighthouse is within walking distance from the house. We're already looking forward to next year and are very much thankful to the Drouins for making their home so inviting and pleasureable!

Tons of room, very clean and relaxing

This house was great! It's at the end of a dead end road, lots of parking for friends and family, small but lush lawn, games and books, and a great deck - all making for a relaxing weekend. There is so much room inside this house our extended family had plenty of space and it was great having 2 1/2 bathrooms. There is A/C in all 3 bedrooms (which our family requires when renting) and they kept the house cool on the humid nights. It's close to both Long Sands and Short Sands - we drove down to Long Sands most days, unpacked the stuff and the kids and stayed for hours - it was one of our best family vacations ever. Thanks for Polly for keeping a clean and pretty house for folks to enjoy! It was memorable!
