Now Covid 19 certified, Black Pearl is perched on top of Vieux Sucre. This very Private Villa overlooks Pigeon Island and Rodney Bay Marina. Black Pearl is truly a piece of paradise where privacy, peace and tranquility are interrupted only by bird songs. It has the atmosphere of a true home. Warm and cosy, with a unique style and character. You have the feeling of being away from everything. It is calm, peaceful and so relaxing, even though you are just 7 minutes drive away from Rodney Bay. After living in the region for many years, I (with my architectural background) decided to design a home where all the benefits of the Caribbean life can be enjoyed. The Sea, the Sun, and the Nature… at Black Pearl Estate you feel the presence of these three elements around you at all times. With this open-style Villa, you have breath taking views of the Sea and neighboring islands. Almost every day, the Sun is shining and the Nature is all around you. The house is surrounded by a lush tropical vegetation with many flowers and fruit trees such as lime, mangoes, avocados, golden apples, guavas, coconuts, sugar canes, bananas, breadfruits, pawpaws, local plums and more. We also like to grow our own herbs and vegetables. Staying in this environment gives you a real feeling of being away from everything, yet you are just 7 minutes´ drive from Rodney Bay. We do recommend a vehicle and as we are on top of a hill, access will be more comfortable with a 4x4 or AWD vehicle. We look forward to welcoming you! Bruno & Sylvia The house including the pool is fully yours during your stay at Black Pearl Estate We are Sylvia and Bruno, the owners and your hosts. We live close by and are here to help you feel at home. We will welcome you upon your arrival and will be available whenever necessary to help you with your plans as you wish. Sylvia is St Lucian and Bruno is from France, having first moved to the Caribbean 35 years ago. We both have a wealth of knowledge about the area and we wish to ensure your stay in our beautiful St Lucia is a memorable one. What is unique with Black Pearl Estate is that you have a feeling to be away from everything. It is calm, peaceful and relaxing but you are in fact only 7 minutes away from Rodney Bay where all what you may need. Beach, bars, restaurant, casino, marina, supermarkets, shopping malls, banks and more Because it is on top of a hill, the access will be much more comfortable with a AWD or 4X4 vehicle. 3 bedrooms have air-conditioning. Amazing property!
The house is beautiful! It has the best view!!! We spent our evenings at the house watching the sun set! Everything was super clean and comfortable! Bruno and his wife are amazing hosts! they were always available and helpful with every question or anything we needed! I would stay here again for sure and recommend this house to all my friends!

We loved Black Pearl
The villa is very spacious and has an incredible view of the coast. It is very conveniently located, specially when arriving to SLU airport and if renting a car. We were lucky enough to spend New Years there and experienced the fireworks from a prime location. True tropical villa with plenty open spaces. One can tell this is a house that has been thought of with love and care. Hosts are warm and caring. Thanks!

Super stay, extremely peaceful location, hosts went over and above, great welcome, did a shop ready on arrival. Our only slight grumble was we didn’t know one of the bedrooms was a mezzanine bed with no walls which made privacy for an adult couple extremely difficult and they got eaten by bugs. I think description on all advertising sites needs to be clearer, otherwise we couldn’t fault it.

Bruno and Sylvia were the best owners we have ever dealt with they were attentive but also gave us our privacy when needed. The place is amazing and owners are very infomative. We re ready to book for next year. All you can ask for is already here. Thank you for opening up your home to our very small but happy family.

Fantastic Holiday
We’ve just come back from a fantastic two weeks in St. Lucia, superbly accommodated by Bruno and Silvia. The Black Pearl was the perfect family house, nestled high in the hills above Rodney Bay with superb views to both the north and the sunsets in the west. We loved everything the island had to offer and equally loved the time we spent at the house; swimming, sundowners on the balcony, cards and BBQs by the pool. We also loved being able to look back up into the hills from town and the beaches and see the house up in the mountains. Bruno took us on a tour of the gardens, I think we got to twenty different fruit trees in our little adventure. Bruno and Silvia were fantastic hosts, welcoming us warmly, being uber discrete during the day but always a smile and a wave when we saw them. Furthermore they provide excellent advice on day trips, restaurants and excursions - our final day’s speedboat adventure with Captain Dell was quite exceptional and an amazing way to end the perfect holiday. Do rent a 4x4, not just to get up to the house (the steep hill is imposing but there in lies half the beauty of the location) but for all the island’s roads. One of the best holidays we have ever had, in a fabulous and fun house. Thank you. Dominic & family.

Great Time in St. Lucia
We had a great two weeks (there were four of us) at Bruno and Sylvia's Black Pearl. The property has amazing views and is located where you want to be on the island in the Rodney Bay area as there are good restaurants to choose from and a few nice beaches. First of all, have Bruno reserve a taxi for you at the airport for the ride up (currently $US90 plus tip) and then rent a car for delivery at the estate the next morning (Cosmopolitan Car Rental delivers and rates were better than others). You will never find the place on your own- believe me. Also, Bruno and Sylvia can stock you up with a few staples for your first night.
We were greeted by the hosts with fishcakes and lethal rum punch (tastes great but hangover warning). They know all the best restaurants and can even reserve for you (Jacques was our last night favorite) and can advise on everything else you need. They live close by but only come around to clean the pool every few days or if you need them for something. Sylvia knew where to get a case of Piton beer which was about $15 cheaper than two 12-packs from the supermarket and Bruno knows the wine industry and can help with delivery of wine.
The house was clean and the beds were comfortable; we all slept great. Apart from the dishwasher which wasn't working and the French pool table that doesn't have pockets (look up the rules on how to play), all went very well and I'm not sure you can do much better than Black Pearl. 20,000 TV channels, too, if you need to watch.

Amazing experience & stay!!
This was mine & my family's first visit to St Lucia and it could not have been more amazing!! From Bruno & Sylvia arranging a driver to pick us up from the airport (& return us), greeting us with fishcakes, rum punch & fresh passionfruit juice, to helping us book excursions, and making many helpful recommendations!
Not only did we love the property, but it really gave us an authentic St Lucia experience. There are many open air spaces, allowing little birds to come in and out, the views are breathtaking, and we really enjoyed the location. We did have a rental car and got out and about a lot with many great suggestions from Bruno. Overall this was an incredible & we're already planning our next trip back!

Beautiful Home Stay in St. Lucia
The Black Pearl is spacious and tasteful, with 5 full bathrooms, a delightful pool area and stunning views. There are many great beaches and restaurants in the area. The hosts will ensure that you are well taken care of for every aspect of your stay. I must mention that the water company was currently doing some work on a short section of the road to the Black Pearl and 4-wheel drive might have been desirable, although the hosts made sure to provide immediate transportation whenever we needed it so it was no problem. This is a perfect house with books, darts, backgammon, snooker, keyboard/drums/instruments and overall super ambiance. You cannot do better!

Amazing Experience
I could not ask for a better property or hosts to have had on my first trip to St Lucia! Bruno and Sylvia are phenomenal people, and their villa is gorgeous, even better than the pictures! We had an amazing time and experience on our trip, and because of Bruno and Sylvia alone, we will definitely be coming back to visit! Thank you for everything!! We hope to see you again soon!

Just What We Needed
The Black Pearl Estate provided just what our family needed. The natural environment brought exactly the tropical feel that we were looking for, while still having the amenities of home. Bruno and Sylvia were welcoming hosts that were able to assist us with anything we needed right away. The kitchen provided everything I needed to prepare several meals for my family when we weren’t able to tear ourselves away from the beautiful pool to dine out. We were so comfortable in the master bedroom that my husband and I actually said it may have been the best sleep we’ve ever had. Rodney Bay is very close and provides ample dining, shopping, and beach going experiences.
My only suggestion for travelers would be to secure a driver for your trip if you are unfamiliar with driving in St. Lucia, or at the very least a 4WD vehicle for the drive up the hill to this beautiful home.

Adventurous, yet relaxing property
Our family booked this property for a 12 day stay in June this year. From the start of our trip, we really enjoyed the Caribbean life. The house is chock full of character from the fun colors, to the modern vibe with the sea breeze style décor. The home is literally atop a mountain in the Rodney Bay area close to Castries. The home's exterior boasts a large spacious dipping pool. Families can have a ton of fun as well as get refreshed. The cute patio beside the pool has hammocks and a grill. There is even a hot/cold outdoor shower. The view is spectacular and the way the home is positioned and designed, the Atlantic breeze flows right through. You can wake up to your coffee in the kitchen on the main level with the morning breezes, the little birds popping in and out, and a view that knocks you over. Below the main level are the air-conditioned bedrooms. So if you warm up in the afternoon and don't want to take a dip, you can relax or nap in your airconditioned bedrooms. The owners of the home live near by, but are very quiet and will not disturb. They are open to assist with anything you might need. Just ask and they will most likely be able to accommodate. If you feel like visiting, you can coax them out for some friendly stories. We would recommend this property for adventure and relaxation. Of the many areas of the Island, this is very near Pidgeon Island and Reduit Beach. A hired driver can take you to the Pitons, some Forts, Markets, and activities from this location. So if you go this route, make a day of it. We were immersed and our driver shared lots of details about the people and the island. We had sooo much fun, enjoyed the change of pace and will go back again and stay in this property!!!

Paradise with Friends
The biggest mistake a traveler will ever make is not selecting Bruno and Sylvia's property to rent. I have traveled far and wide and have never been blessed with a more stunning view, in combination with such an amazing home and the kindest most gracious hosts you will ever be fortunate enough to meet.
The island people, food, music, beaches, and sights will make your stay intoxicatingly pleasurable. I do not wish to spoil the wondrously unexpected moments that you will experience at the Black Pearl by mentioning them. That is for you to discover.
For me, the time breezed by much too quickly and I miss my new friends and the Pearl. Thank you to Bruno and Sylvia for caring and sharing. I look forward to seeing you soon. To anyone who sees this review, click on purchase, it will be the one of the best decisions you ever make.

Christmas/New Years at Black Pearl Estate
We decided to try something different this year for Christmas. All of our kids are grown and out of the house and with a new grand baby on the way, we thought it would be one of our last escapes for awhile. We were not disappointed. We invited my in-laws: mom, dad, sis and kids to join us and our recently flown nestlings for a vacation none of us will shortly forget. Bruno and Sylvia are the most amazing people and we invited them to join in on some of our family events, including a sunset cruise on the sea.. Even with all of the cultural and ethnic differences, we felt as though we had found our long lost relatives. They are amazing hosts and we feel as though we have made life long friends.
The estate was incredible with miraculous views. The outdoor cabana provided many laugh filled memory-making nights after adventurous exploits to investigate the culture and people of this beautiful island. We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations and our stay here, and we had 13.5 people along for the venture. There was enough room for everyone to find a spot to call home for a week. A beautiful fireworks display on the bay resounded the incredible experience we had here on our last night in Gross Islet and was the perfect ending to a trip that created so many fond memories. We are looking forward to the reunion tour.
The house is roomy and inviting while encompassing the sounds and smells of nature surrounding us. Waking up to the ocean breeze while sipping coffee and sharing stories of the previous day's escapades was a great way to start the next day. The pool provided hours of entertainment for adults and kids alike. We rented vehicles upon our arrival at the airport and even though it was a little adjustment learning to drive on the left, it was a great decision. Black Pearl is a short 10 minute drive to the Marina, the grocery store, and nearby beaches. We enjoyed our first dinner upon everyone's arrival at Key Largo Pizza Oven since we were all a little travel-logged. Good food and great atmosphere. We loved our time at St. Lucia in this lovely little treasure and can't wait to absorb it all again in our next visit.

OMG, Black Pearl is GREAT!
Had a great time staying at the Black Pearl for two hole weeks with my wife from Dec. 4th – 17th 2019. Very relaxing large Caribbean open air style Villa with a great pool and million dollar views. All of their island recommendations were spot on from beaches, catamaran day trip to awesome restaurants. Can’t say enough about our great hosts and owners Bruno and Sylvia. Just awesome and can now call them our St. Lucia Island friends.
