Four of us (two couples in their 50's) stayed at the cabin and had a wonderful time. It's easy to see that the owner's take pride in the place. It is nicely decorated, clean, and has high quality appliances and furnishings. The floors creak (which you may or may not like) giving it an old time cabin feel. There are fun little card and dice games which are a nice touch as well. Others have noted having coffee on the deck in the mornings–we thoroughly enjoyed that also, along with walking on the trails and quiet evenings either by the fire or in the hot tub as we took in the incredible fall colors. You can still hear noise occasionally from the highway, but that wasn't a big deterrent for us. What is probably most unique about the cabin itself (that we noticed) is the high quality sound system throughout the place which you can patch into through blue tooth. Being music lovers, we really enjoyed that as we listened to everything from Frank Sinatra to Steely Dan to The Phantom of the Opera. We haven't rented from VRBO for a couple of yeaers and so we were slightly taken back by the detailed list of potential charges if certain things were not precisely followed. Perhaps that's just the way it is these days and is not out of the ordinary, but we found it to be a bit excessive. Since we always strive to leave a place in the same condition as we found it, I tried to reassure my wife that we were in line with things. Would we consider staying here again? Absolutely.
