Cozy Private Cottage with Large front porch and outside Fire Pit on 1 1/2 Acres. Perfect place to relax and enjoy peace and quiet! Close to town if you want to explore some great flea markets or antique stores. Boat rentals 3 minutes away at Choctaw Marina. Hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, and so much more to do with a few miles of the property. Explore the Arkansas caves and waterfalls.

This cottage is beautiful. My pups and I had the best time. If you are needing a peaceful getaway this is your place. We visited the Bluffton Preseve and hiked. This is a must see!! I didn’t eat out one time. The cottage is well stocked with everything you need. am already planning a trip back.

We were disappointed to find the place dirty. The restroom was not clean. There was hair on the toilet and in the shower. Yellow stains and drips were on the restroom walls and blinds. And there was mold on the shower curtain. The bedroom blinds had stains, and the microwave had food stains. It was unfortunate because the place itself was cute and we could tell the host took a lot of care to decorate for Christmas. We reached out to the host, and they acknowledged the place was not clean, but when they said they would discuss compensation with us, they did not and randomly sent 30. We reached out and told them this was surprisingly low for providing an unclean place (not as advertised). They then refunded us nearly the remaining amount for the cleaning fee—but had they been up front with how much they were comfortable refunding and explained they could refund the cleaning fee only, we would have felt like they understood the severity of providing a dirty place and cared about making that right. Instead they made it clear they weren’t giving us back all our money, which we never asked for. We are very appreciative of them refunding the cleaning fee, but we’re very disappointed that it was an unclean stay.

4th of July 2025

This was just as listed. It is a cozy cottage close to the lake. We keep our boat at Choctaw Marina, so this worked out perfect for us. The communication with the owner was fast and all of our questions were answered. We had some family visiting the lake on the last day and the owner let us extend our check out by an hour. We will definitely reserve this cabin again.

Great cottage!

Loved our week stay at the "Mellow Yellow" cozy cottage that looks straight out of a storybook! Very charming! Enjoyed our sit & sip time during the mornings on the beautiful front porch and watching the little family of Purple Finches flutter in the the trees. Owners did a great job & thought of everything to make it like home away from home, from decor to snacks to make you feel welcome. Very clean and close to the lake in a private serene setting! We will definitely be back!!! Thank you for hosting us!

Quiet, serene, beautiful.

Beautiful, cozy cottage, with everything you might need to get off the grid, and relax. A bit off the beaten path, not ideal for a 2 seat roadster, but amazing sights, and fantastic nights of slumber.

Quick Getaway

My wife and I actually live close by but wanted a “date night” away from the kids and hustle and bustle of daily life. We had a peaceful, quiet evening in the house. The house was very clean, equipped with everything we needed to prepare a great meal - the gas grill did a wonderful job on our steaks! We would stay here again!

Cozy, welcoming cottage! 5 stars!

My husband and I were delighted to find this cozy cottage for a Sept 2024 family wedding, held at the nearby “Barn at Greers Ferry” venue-only 20 minutes away! The cottage is charming, clean, and welcoming-making you feel like an anticipated guest with special touches, (like snacks, bottled water, coffees & creamers, and special embroidered “makeup” washcloths). The hosts lovingly maintain their cottage with current updates, decor, & comforts of home with cozy throws, plenty of linens, nice tvs, and a stocked kitchen for simple meals. You can eat indoors at the table or if the weather is nice, (like our weekend), you can dine outside at the lovely front porch table, where the hummingbirds may entertain you with their territorial antics over the feeder. :) Nice neighbors live nearby-close enough where you feel safe but far enough away that you have plenty of privacy. The cottage is also well lit outside at night, (fun cafe lights on the front porch, plenty of porch lights, & floodlights), which is perfect for taking your pet to potty before bed or sitting outside on the porch swing enjoying the peace & quiet. Check in and out is extremely simple and the hosts are quick to respond with communication if needed. We loved our 3 night stay and would consider it a treat to stay here again!

We stayed at the Mellow Yellow Cottage while attending a wedding and events at The Barn at Greers Ferry. Our host, Toni, was very responsive to all my questions. I am disabled from a car wreck and she had new sod laid- this made my walking easier with my cane. The cottage was perfect for the two of us with all the amenities as described in the descriptions. We will stay here again if we are back in the are. Thank you Toni!
