The Knotty Bear is a perfect mountain cabin for a small family! Nestled in the pines, cozy up in this sweet little 2 bedroom plus kids loft, 1 bath cabin situated on 1 acre just off Main Street, located in the heart of Greer. The popular Greer Trail is just down the street and is within easy walking/biking distance to local events, shops and only 300 yards from the Little Colorado River.

THE SPACE:
The Knotty Bear Cabin is secluded, providing guests with privacy and the ultimate opportunity to experience the great outdoors without compacted parking, close cabin proximity or noisy resort activities. Why not experience Greer as it was meant to be enjoyed? Peace, quiet and the opportunity to relax in the seclusion of a private cabin! Knotty Bear is pet friendly and includes a dog run. Please remember, Knotty Bear is a non-smoking cabin! We provide bed linens, towels, toiletries, SOME paper products, trash bags & dish soap. Our kitchen is stocked with basic needs to prepare and serve a family meal. We also provide a backup of ground coffee, sugar, creamer & tea. K-cup brewer & pods available upon request but there is a regular coffee brewer and a tea kettle there. We have a mid-size fridge, four-burner electric range/oven, microwave & drying rack for dishes. The bathroom has a full-size tub/shower, toilet and vanity with storage. Both bedrooms have rods w/ hangers and storage with a chair and luggage rack. The loft has a low ceiling so it is great for kids to sleep or play games. The ladder may be dangerous for small children. Our fireplace is converted to an electric heater that provides cabin ambiance but is safe and clean. Each room has a heater also. We provide propane for the modern gas grill on the porch, grill tools, foil and plastic wrap.

GUEST ACCESS:
You are welcome to use our full property but please respect our neighbors by keeping dogs leashed at all times when outdoors and NO campfires on the property.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
We now have Netflix, Hulu, DISNEY+ & more on our streaming TV with ROKU. Turn the power on to the TV with the SAMSUNG remote and use the ROKU remote to access channels. You can sign in to your personal accounts using the ROKU remote. We also have a small collection of family friendly DVDs you can view and more DVDs and family friendly games are available for rental from the Cabin Butler office.

Beautiful location. Lots of wildlife. Birds, deer, squirrels and even a turkey. Very clean and comfortable. We would love to come back.

Perfect little cabin

Spent a lovely five days at this charming cabin in the woods. Great location for hiking and just sitting in the Adirondacks enjoying nature. The kitchen and bath were well stocked. Just a perfect little getaway. Be aware that many of the local hiking trails are closed during fire season.

Home away from Home

Our cabin comfortably suited my family! Quick drive to many sites of interest, we were here for the Sunrise 3D Shootout. The drive was always delightful, we saw deer, elk, mountain goats, turkey, and antelope. Beautiful cabin with just about everything we needed for homecookrd meals.Thanks so much!!

The cabin was perfect for what I was looking for in Greer. The only problem is that the coffee machine and the coffee filters were not a match lol. Please make sure that the correct coffee filters that match the coffee machine are provided! When youā€™re in Greer in October and itā€™s cold, coffee is vital!

Greer greatness

The Knotty Cabin was a great stay for my wife and I. It smelled a little funny, but the overall experience was great. We enjoyed the mornings with coffee on the front porch and seeing some wildlife. We would definitely recommend others to stay here in the future.

Need better property address

Google could not find the address as listed. The lot # is actually 53 (not 52 as listed). Took several passes up and down Wiltbank at 10pm to find the place. Thank goodness for the bright colors and the lights being left on.

Perfect Cabin for Dog owners

Knotty Bear wa s the perfect getaway for a vacation with the dogs. We traveled (for the first time) with our two rescued Dobermans to get out of the heat of Scottsdale. The Knotty Bear was absolutely perfect. It was spotless when we arrived (even the dog run area), had everything we needed (except for sharp knives) and was the perfect set up for two humans and two Large dogs. The dog run is perfect for morning and late night potty trips, the girls loved all the smells and being able to do their business without a leash on. We spent most of our time on the front porch watching the wildlife. The cabin is cozy and well stocked and still plenty of room for two 100 lbs dogs and their humans - everyone was very comfortable. The property is beautiful with plenty of parking and big trees. We really enjoyed our stay and will be visiting again for sure.

Overall good

The biggest issues we had was the dog hair and the mothball smell. I don't appreciate smelling mothballs every time I walk into the cabin. I also don't want dog hair in a cabin rental. The cabin wasn't dirty and there were no bugs. Overall we liked the cabin, but the smell of mothballs was too much. It's probably not healthy to breath in naphthalene for long periods of time. If it wasn't for the mothballs and dog hair I would have given this small cabin 5/5.

My poor rating is not a result of the condition or location of the cabin, or how the property was managed. We were very satisfied and would choose to stay in the cabin in the future. The rating is a direct result of the owner's decision to refuse my request for a refund or credit for a future stay. We had a severe medical emergency the first week of a 4 week stay. We spent the first week in and out of the emergency room of a local hospital. On Friday of the first week, my wife was diagnosed with suspected malaria and had to be transported to a Phoenix hospital which was 4 hours away. She spent the next week in a hospital and diagnosed with malaria, Lyme Disease and West Nile Virus. The following week was spent recovering with many doctor visits. I notified the Property Manager of the situation and said we were trying to get back to the cabin for our last week (we still had our belongings there). With doctor's approval we were able spend the final week at the cabin. After my return, I made a request to the property manager that a 2-week refund or a credit be honored by the owner. I was assured my request would be passed on to the owner. After several follow-ups, I received the very disappointing news that the owner would honor my request. I understand this is a business transaction but there was no consideration to our emergency situation. This is the only vehicle for me to convey to others what will happen if you are faced with an emergency situation. Very sad indeed.

Enjoyed our stay..

This was the 2nd time to rent this beautiful cabin. We love it, so peaceful. Had deer right in the backyard. Will defiantly be back to this cabin. Greer Strong. Praying for our beautiful Round Valley and the firefighters.5-15-2025
